Nar Shaddaa

Aly stood in front of the Niche Appeal, her friend's ship. She looked it up and down... it was much smaller than the luxury cruiser she arrived with, but could still see the appeal of having your own ship, your own freedom.

She gave a call via holo to her friend. "I'm here... not sure where the doorbell is on this thing."

"There isn't one," came the reply, "One sec."

After a moment there was the sound of hydraulics as a ramp lowered from the yellow ship's underbelly. As it opened wider the ramp looked up into the ship, and a voice came down, "Come on in Aly!"

Inside was approximately forty square meters total, though some of that was closed off storage and the cockpit. That left a one by two bedroom Aly could see in, a two by four office with a food chest, a one by one shower stall, and with the rest being the entry basically.

Aly ran in, feeling exuberant for some reason. "Hey Arsele." She ran up and hugged her friend, with a big goofy smile. "Your own ship, eh? Recall how we'd like to pretend we'll fly away sometime, and marry some alien prince?"

Arsele chuckled as she half caught her friend, hugging her back, "Mmmmhm; Among other things. Like the time we made a ship out of cushions and had a sleepover inside it."

"Never has been a hyperdrive more fluffy." She let out a small giggle. Her blue eyes looked around, taking it all in.

"You're the only one? Piloting, astrogation, everything?"

"Piloting, astrogation, guns... not that I've ever had to use those. The hyperdrive calculations can be a big pain, but it's worth it for the independence."

She watched the younger woman hugging her look around as she talked.

"You always liked being independent... well, except when bossing around Niall." Aly took it all in. It wasn't much, but it was all so... Arsele.

"So... which one is the comms room?"

"Comms room..."

Arsele snickered, "Well, the secure comm is in the cockpit, if you want to slink your way into it."

"Mhm, sure." Alysele was confused but started going. "Which way?"

Arsele let go of Aly before opening a door to Aly's right, the round portal opening into a small room maybe big enough to fit two chairs. Fortunately it only had one leather seat in it, so there was still room to get around it.

Aly followed and looked around. "Thank you." She sat down into the chair without preamble. Turning to Arsele, she bit her lip in thought. "I need to talk to my parents, and Basil's sister. I might be dragging you into something. Are you sure you want to go ahead with this?"

"I can close the door, if privacy works better; I just want to do what you think you need. Whether that means me being involved or not."

She offers a soft smile as she peeks her head through the doorway.

"I appreciate it. Just want to make sure you don't get into any trouble because of me. How much do I owe you, by the way?" She reached towards her belt.

Arsele blinks, "...owe me? For using my communicator?"

Aly nodded. "I am making use of your ship, and I know there are docking fee.s I don't want to take advantage of you." Aly seemed confused. It was no a situation she was often in.

Arsele's confused look went away and she chuckles, "Look Aly... you're a friend, a real friend. And real friends never owe me. Just do what you need to, and I'll keep doing what I can to help."

Blowing Alysele a kiss Arsele ducked her head out and quietly closed the door.

"Thanks Arsele." She giggled at the kiss, before typing in some coordinates for a certain someone.

A droid answers the call, "Good evening, you have reached the residence of Ziandra Thul, how may I be of assistance?"

"This is a friend of Basils's looking for Hiandra. He asked me to pass a message to her. Can I speak with her?

“Just a moment please. Why yes, she will take your call,” the droid responds.

Ziandra appears after a few seconds and she says, “You were asking for me, you said you were Basil’s friend?”

"I was his fiance." aly stsrted with a twist.

“Was?” she says focusing on the word.

“Well you have my sympathies but I try not to involve myself in my brother’s ill fated affairs. If he promised you money or something, know that House Thul has no obligation to follow through on his words.”

She adds a bit mechanically, as if this has happened before, “You have my condolences all the same.”

"We were engaged for about 10 minutes. Alysele Cortess." She introduced herself. Hopefully the name will mean something.

"And my condolences to you. He was killed."

If the name was to surprise she seems unmoved and responds, “I see, well that is a tragedy. I will inform my family of the loss, when can we have the body delivered for proper examination and last rights and such.”

"You'll have to take that up with the Hutts. I'll give you the location information, but I was wounded in the altercation, and needed to get away."

She eyed the woman, trying measure her in any way.

"Any idea why your brother would be killed by an assassin?" She felt the need to specify the question.... after 5 minutes with Basil, Aly was ready to kill him too.
