It was about that time that the Sith's commlink chirped to indicate the incoming call, followed by the voice of a tired woman.

"Colonel Moraal, here. I was told you required something?"

The Sith replied quickly and quietly, once she was away from Durasay.

"Lord Yukan, a True Sith with our delegation, was murdered, probably ritualistically or to send the message. The body was found in the Shadow Town. The perpetrators are yet to be apprehended. The Hutt enforcers were told to stay away on grounds of this being an internal Sith affair and they listened. The body will be delivered to you by one Lana Beniko, apprentice to Darth Xevious. If the arrival does not happen, apply procedures. Either way, I want you to do a background check on Lord Yukan, and examine the body once it arrives. In addition, do background checks on one Durasay Mixo and one Galen Sol, two men who involved themselves into the affair for some reason, persistently so. Sol may or may not be arriving with Beniko."

Durasay seemed to follow along the trail as well, sharp eyes looking for anything that stands out.

The duo of unlikely investigators come to run down bar with a gang of nikto swoop racers sitting out front chatting and impressing their fans. It is all niktos and they all look like the type of people that skipped school to knock over convenience stores.

"Please, demonstrate your skills." The Sith encouraged Durasay, gesturing toward the Niktos.

"It's not every day I assist one." he replied. "But, these are not normal circumstances. And, there's no reason not to help you. In my experience, it's better to make friends than enemies."

“That isn’t the Sith way, as far as I understand it,” she says in reply.

[Galen Sol]

"I'm not a Sith." he shrugged. "The Jedi and the Sith complicate everything with their rules. If it makes it easier, you're taking advantage of an opportunity to have someone do a task beneath you."

[Dapper Dog]

“Well you have the Force, that much I can feel,” Lana says.

“You are not a Jedi though? Some other Force tradition?”

"I learned what I know through experience and survival." he answered. "I admit, it isn't much. But, it's my way."

“Self taught, I thought the Jedi identified their acolytes when young and abduct them,” Lana says honestly.

"Maybe." He really didn't know. "But, I was a slave and my master alway kept us moving. There was always something new to hunt."

“In the Empire slaves that show talent in the Force are elevated to Sith if they survive the training,” she admits guiding him to a speeder.

"I survived and learned without such considerations." He brought the body to the speeder. "It's worked out fairly well."

"I can take it from here, Galen, thank you. May the Force make you strong," Lana says as he gets into the driver seat and starts the speeder.

Charming Nikto Swoop Gangers: 4eA+1eC+2eD 3 successes, 1 threat


"My pleasure." The pantoran strode forwards confidently, observing the details of the swoop bikes. He observed the group, before settling on the one with the most hangers on.

"Nice bikes. Reminds me of my time on Socorro. You seem like the kind of guy who's seen some poodoo. Mind if I ask you a few questions?" He stood his ground as he spoke, raising an eyebeow.

When it came to Nikto, it helped to look like you were ready for anything. His trenchcoat flourished back, showing off his heavy blaster.

The nikto glances down at the blaster and then back to Durasay’s face. One arm wrapped around a nikto woman who seemed intent on kissing his neck. The Nikto says in Huttese, “Never been but hear they run fast out there. What can the Scarlet Suns do for you stranger?”

The other Nikto focus their eyes on the stranger.

The Sith tried to look unassuming and keep her distance from the conversation... But did the stumble upon something while seeking a good vantage point?

"Alright." he nodded. "Before you go, is there anything you could tell me about that other one? The one with the mask? I saw her with a friend at the Mandalorian party earlier."

She is able to seem assuming but she is still very much visible to everyone just not considered a threat. Though from her vantage she can see someone watching from a rooftop a cloaked figure, tall and focused on the conversation. The figure is about 30 meters up and does not seem to care about blending in.

"Alright." he nodded. "Before you go, is there anything you could tell me about that other one? The one with the mask? I saw her with a friend at the Mandalorian party earlier."

Lana nods and says, “She is a Sith, I do not know much more than that. I believe she serves a Lord Yulo as his apprentice. Is your friend also force sensitive?”
