Hala stood behind Jo'ren. She stared across the impromptu arena at the opposing Sith lord and tensed for the brutal conflict to come.

Lord Nemerosch pulled his lightsaber pike out of a soldier loyal to Lord Haydriss. His apprentices and allies appeared to be occupied by the battle raging around them.

All but one other.

"My Lord!" The man turned about to join his master in the fray...

But his brains were splattered to the pavement by a slugthrower sniper shot.

"The battle here is between one and zero," he stated. He cracked his neck. "Do you have a problem with that statement?"

The Lord cocked his head to both apprentices before shifting his eyes to Hala. He leaped forward, past the two apprentices, stopping short of her. A small grunt, annoyed at his own failure, before he ran up to the woman and slashed her with his lightsaber.

Shaisha was quick to close the distance Lord Nemerosch had tried to put between himself and the Sith duo, and the reversed shoto in her left hand caught him unawares - showing her to be a skilled Shien practicioner as her blow came unexpectedly.

The sudden strike was enough to cause him to drop the Forcepike.

Hala swallowed a scream as the blade of light streaked across her chest and right arm, the pained muffle still echoed from the audio system picking up her every word. Never the less, she staggered away from Nemerosch as his pike clanged to the ground with a dull metallic thud. She glanced at Jo'ren asking him to pick it up then turned on her broadcast hardware again.

"Lord Nemerosch, it is done. It is done. Cease the fighting, there isn't anything to be gained by it. All you do is aggravate the ritualistic order of the Kaggath and imperil your fate before Lord Haydriss. Accept defeat for now, and let's turn to the greater enemy. Accept it now, or surely you will be struck down."

As a note: Nemerosch loses Defense from losing his lightsaber. He is now at Melee/Ranged 3.

Jo'ren leapt in to join Hala and distract the Sith. Unfortunately his attack failed to connect, but he used the opportunity to grab his dropped weapon.

Attack misses, use 2 advantage for a free maneuver to grab force pike (can't attack with either while holding both).

Lord Nemerosch watched his blade be stolen by the male Sith apprentice. "Unfortunate circumstances." He landed an enhanced punch though it was not enough to retrieve his lightsaber.

"Resilient, cunning, straining. Not the odds I thought. I suppose I need be more clever." With that said, he jumped into the sky and landed onto a building's ledge. "Show me what more you can do!"

As the coward fled, something about Shaisha... changed... the Dark side swelled through her as she tapped herself to the deepest core of the power the Emperor had once bestowed upon her. "You insect!" she snarled to the fleeing Lord, her voice sounding less like it's usual self. Her mind was strained from the effort, but it did not make her relent.

A hand slipped down to her utility belt and pulled out a grenade. The pin pulled out with her teeth, it levitated before her by the power of the Force before she sent it shooting straight into Nemerosch.

Nemerosch looked about for more balconies to jump to. By the time he looked back down, it was too late. The grenade exploded, disorienting him enough for him to lose his footing. He was sent plummeting down into the pavement below next to his three opponents. There was a resounding crack that emanated through the streets and then the blood started seeping out of him.

Jo'ren had parried the punch and soaked the rest of the damage. It was unweildy holding a pike and a twinblade, and he was about to drop one and stab him with the other when the guy jumped out of reach.

Fortunately Shaisha had a grenade handy, and the body crumpled at their feet. "Nice work. Hey Hala, you okay?" She had been hit by the Lightsaber, which would have left a mark on anyone.

Shaisha slumped slightly, yet the aura of the Dark Side clinged to her like black shadows. With the bloodthirst practically eminating from her, the smallest of the two Sith strode forward to the body... the heel of her boot connected with a powerful impact against Nemerosch's skull as she confirmed the kill. "Fool." He had underestimated her, and paid the price for the insolence.

She glanced over to her two compatriots, silently acknowledging them with a nod.

"I don't think so, my lord," Hala said, looking down at her scorched uniform and the burned skin underneath, "But I have also endured worse...."

She crouched painfully and began undoing the catches on Nemerosch's armor. Once she had it detached she began the morbid process of searching his remains for anything of importance, information, or value to be cataloged and processed along side anything he carried that was not.

"Impressive Shaisha."

He nodded to her and walked over to see what Hala was doing. Replacing his own saber in his belt he hefted the force pike to get a feel for it. The weapon moved easily in his hands.

"He underestimated me. A mistake he won't make again." The crunch underneath her boot had been satisfying, and she gave a pleased smile... though rather unsettling to anyone who didn't appriciate violence, death, and annihilating one's enemies.

"The colonel weakened his resolve... impressively done on someone who was a Sith Lord."

OOC: I'll just post the lightsaber and armor for the time-being as I think on the rest of his stuff.

"Yeah. More of a wet splatter now." Turning the Lightsaber pike over in his hands Jo'ren nodded appreciatively. "Nice piece of kit. Disarming him was a good idea."

He looked more closely at the grip. "Yeah, customised. That would have to come out."

Her rage and bloodthirst seemed to have been satiated for now, as the aura seemed to dim.

"Good thing you picked up his weapon too. And was strong enough to hold onto it... the battle would have gone very differently had he been able to regain his advantage."

Jo'ren shrugged. "Yeah, tactically brilliant. Not as satisfying as cutting him in two though.". He seemed a bit annoyed about that.

"This is quite the weapon, and he seems to have some decent armour too. Shame he picked the wrong side.". The big Sith gestured at Shaisha's weapon. "Yours is pretty interesting too."

"Are not all lightsabers interesting my lord?" she asked curiously, looking over at him from across her shoulder.

"Well, they are all unique, but that isn't the same as interesting. Some are better for offense, some for protection. Some are made of rare alloys, others use special crystals that are highly sought after." He pulled a very basic looking Lightsaber hilt from his belt.

"Sometimes it's just good to have a backup, as our departed friend learned too late."

"A shoto modified to fit the style of Shien better," she said, realising now that the lightsaber was still on. The hum died down and she returned it to its place in her belt. "You should see my other lightsaber sometime."

Shaisha nodded a little, looking at the Colonel. "It's foolish to rely only on one tactic or one weapon. A mistake many make... He probably did not expect a Sith to use a grenade against him."

No wonder she had earned her name on Ziost, since this only seemed to confirm the reputation that Shaisha was a flexible and unpredictable combatant.

"One you made yourself? Hmm, maybe this crystal will be useful to you then. I'm looking at that armour and thinking I can take it to a mechanic and refit it for these muscles." He pointed at Lord Nemerosch's armour, now quite glad it didn't have holes in it.

"Hey Colonel, have you found anything else on old Lord Freefall? Must have had something that would be useful to you. Either way, I'm sure Lord Haydriss will be pleased with you."
