Nar Shaddaa

It was almost over...almost...almost...Yes!

"Woooooo!" Baesal exclaimed her joy, looking at her finished projection

"I can't wait to test you"

She transfered her red crystal into the shield and ignited it

"Woooooo?" A curious parroting of Baesal's exclaimation sounded out from behind her.

Standing there was Samaya, moving her hood out from where it had drooped down in front of her eyes to gawk at the Togruta's efforts.

"What're we "wooooo"-ing about?"

Baesal was so focused on her work that she did not notice the twilek come in

"What? Err...Oh!" She showed her the strange device. It looked somewhat like a small double-bladed saber but had a grip in the middle and had prisms in lieu of lenses.

"This! My new lightsaber variant!"

"Oh wow." Samaya said, eyeballing Baesal's work closely. She really looked like she wanted to touch it and it was rather obvious she was stopping herself from doing so.

"Looks sort of like what I have, but not." Closing one eye, she spared a moment to peek down the business end of the saber, apparently unconcerned that a cutting beam of energy comes out in a line that would skewer her face.

"Is it special?"

Baesal was a little worried when she looked directly down in the saber's mouth

''Be careful!'' she warned ''It's a lightshield but it could still be dangerous''

''Its like a lightsaber but on sheild format...step back I'll ignite it...lets see what it does''

"Huh." Samaya furrowed her brow, clearly not comprehending but she did step back as requested.

"So, like, a shield then? Like on ships?" She tossed out the analogy, looking to give herself some reference.

OOC: The shield works as intended, carry on.

The shiled ignited, a shimmering oblong energy construct that spread and arched from tip to tip in a dome shape in front of her.



''YES!''

"Oh wow!" Samaya exclaimed, enthralled by the shiny new thing in front of her. "So, not like what's on a ship. What'll you do with it? Is it for you? Can I get one?"

''Its defensive weapon'' she said ''Better for melee and ranged defense then a normal lightsaber but also less damaging''

She pondered the question

''I'll have to test it..but I suppose I could make one for you. It won't be cheap though''
