(D4 MA) Awakening

[Nekoinu]

Jedi Master Lyshea Mersl herself had never completely entered the dream. She was wandering about, attuning to each present to offer them guidance. When they would awaken, she was ready to address any concerns or questions.

[Arali Zian]

((Roll for shiggles.))

Arali wakes up, less surprised than the situation probably calls for. She takes some time to clear her head, then looks to Master Mersl. "I'm guessing Master Thun graced you with a few choice spices from her garden?" She's not entirely sure what the concoction is, but that sort of stuff seldom keeps fresh for long.

[Nekoinu]

The Miraluka nodded. "You are correct, Arali. I believe you did well on your inner journey."

[Arali Zian]

The twi'lek shakes her head, "Most of what I saw, I've been steeling myself for... well over a decade now, I suppose."

He who lives by the sword, after all.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain merely sat quietly at his chair. Skepticism and hostility appeared to be on his face as the Jedi began conversing.

[Nekoinu]

"This trial is never easy. However, it appears our guest has also completed his journey." She smiled warmly at him and kept her immaculate posture. "I sense a peace in you, even if you are not pleased by my deception."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"It appears trusting a Jedi was indeed a bad decision." He replied. "Drugging a diplomat of the Empire seems below your high-minded ideals."

[Nekoinu]

She maintained her smile. "You were able to make peace despite qualms before. What makes me different?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Your methods." He replied. "You use deception and coercive means to infiltrate into the minds of others... I have experience in such matters... but you supposedly are beyond such things."

He chuckled, "And you assume to instruct others on the light-side of the force... what a comedic scene."

[Nekoinu]

The Jedi Master bowed her head. "Then I must apologize. But I must ask: is that truly what disturbs you?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"That I was invited to a casual luncheon to discuss matters of the force and my trust was betrayed by a sorry excuse for a Jedi?" He asked, "I would say that is what I am 'disturbed' about, yes."

[Nekoinu]

"We are discussing the Force now. The ritual rejects those who are inclined to the Dark Side. You are different from the rest of the Empire." The Jedi took a long breath. "Have you meditated before, Mister Torsin?"

[Arali Zian]

"It's an old training technique," Arali chimes in, not expecting it to help.

"A lot of those drugs, if you take them knowingly, the subconscious mind resists. Take them unknowingly, and they are a far more effective meditation aid for those not extensively trained in their use."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I may indeed be different... but I am not like you either." He replied.

[Nekoinu]

"True." She paused for a few, long moments. "I foresee you carving a future in the Empire."

The Miraluka smiled at the twi'lek. "She is right. The best effects come when one is unaware of the ritual. If I had consumed it without preparing myself, then I would have fallen as deeply into a trance as all of you."

[Alysele Cortess]

Alysele Cortess slowly came to, took a deep breath, and put her fork down. She raised a hand to wipe away any residual tears.

"Master Lyshea, please don't cook again. I'd rather order next time." Her voice was dry and slightly forced.

[Nekoinu]

Master Lyshea Mersl turned her attention to the Alderaanian noblewoman. "The effects were intentional, Miss Cortess. Or was that supposed to be humor?" She then muffled a laugh in her sleeve.

[Arali Zian]

Aly is okay. This is nominally a good thing.

"I could cook," she offers her cousin. "Ever try magenge?"

Master Lorne certainly did... until they found out what it did to the human digestive system.

[Alysele Cortess]

"That does not, in any way, inspire confidence in me Master." She continued with the forced humor. Glancing at her blue Jedi cousin, she did a bit of an introspection. "Thank you, but I'll skip. I think after the rumors today people are already surprised I'm still alive after being in your bloody den." Yeah, she was fine.

[Nekoinu]

"You embarked on a journey and came out wiser from it," Lyshea stated with a warm smile. "There are no adverse side-effects as proven clearly by your ability to be humorous."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Hrmph. Arali knows me... she might think humor is an adverse side effect." She smirked at the twi'lek, then looked towards the sith. She frowned. He was right actually. "Master... is there anything here that is not drugged?"

[Nekoinu]

"All of the food in here would induce the same effect." Lyshea then smiled. "I will ask for the next course to be brought in, one that will not induce a dream-like state again."

[Alysele Cortess]

Alysele raised an eye in doubt. She wasn't really convinced.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington had trouble proceeding smoothly through the vision. Eventually he is ejected out of the dream. He looks around.

He offers a polite bow. "My apologies. I must have dozed off during the meal."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal's dream made no sense and demanded things that she could not do. She wakes up frustrated

And she gets up to leave
