[Alysele Cortess]

Alysele sat in a private booth at the casino.... it was a strange place to have a discussion, but there were worse places.

Alysele was having a strange day.... a bad one, really. Still, if there was one person (well, two people actually) that could help, it was her.

[Yslane Tssilla]

The white haired Jedi was soon joined by a blonde. "Hello Alys." Yslane smiled at her friend and took a seat. "... you look upset."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Hey Ys." She smiled weakly at her. "Haven't you heard? I found my opponent." She stretched. "I lost again."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane reached out to take her friend's hands. "Are you alright?" She frowned, not trying to hide her worry.

[Alysele Cortess]

"My body is still healing." She accepted her hand. "My mind... well. I wonder if I'm cut out for this. Whether the lasst decae has been all for naught."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Because you lost," Yslane squeezed her hand. "But you survived, Alys. Not ever battle will be a victory. As long as your alive it's alright."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Yet victory seems further awa." She smiled, though there was little joy in it. "How have you been?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Well I fell for a Sith trap, nearly getting myself and a Republic team killed, and probably gave the Sith more political ammunition to use on us." Yslane replied in a nonchalant tone with a weary grin. "Psh...Alys I have faith you will improve from this. Your still better then me with the lightsaber.... not that that is a great accomplishment."

[Alysele Cortess]

"So good day too?" There was a hint of light sarcasm in her voice as she spoke.

She reached out to give a half-hug to the taller woman. "Didn't do me any good so far." She smiled weakly. "Might need to rethink my life."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane returned the hug, "I think you just need more faith in yourself." She reached up to brush a hand through Alys's hair, "For are your talk of confidence Alys, I think sometimes you really let it get to you." Yslane leaned forward to rest her forehead against her friend's, "I don't know if it helps...but I never lost faith in you." She grins then her expression grows more serious.

"What are you thinking Alys? Returning to your homeworld?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"I should be better than this." She excalimed weakly, a small smile playing on her lips at Ys' touch. "I... need to do good. I put in the effort, I have the talent, yet I fail again and again."

She smiled, and raised her hand to put in on Yslane's back. "How did we ever end up friends? I mean, I was a little bitch." She laughed, before looking away. "I don't know. I really don't. Maybe I should try politics. Master Merls suggested I would be a good diplomat."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I told you, introspective shy girl forced into being more outgoing and the wild one forced to think of others." Yslane replied with a grin, "A drove pretty much everyone else crazy."

"A failure is only a true defeat if you learn nothing from it, Alys." Her expression softened, "All you can do is try, you may have all the advantages but sometimes...fate just turns against you. Learn why you lost and don't make the same mistakes....make whole new ones." She adds with another sly grin.

"Politics....well you have the attitude for it and one could argue your beauty would throw many off balance. You are also fairly persuasive when you want to be." Yslane thought for a moment, "And of course you wouldn't be helpless like most diplomats."

[Alysele Cortess]

"See? You have to tell me everything twice." She smiled and hugged the woman. "I'm just the ditz that you keep afloat."

Her own expression darkened. "Try... maybe I should." She looked down at the casino floor, at all the people going about their lives. "It's not easy.... I fought, and bled, and I worked hard and.... I feel there are no results."

She sighed. "Maybe I never wanted to do this..." She smirked. "Oh, my legendary beauty will throw people off, eh? Is that how you see it dear friend? I'm off putting now?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Let's just say some would disarmed at the mere sight of you, Alys," Yslane laughed, "Keep you afloat? Most of the time I have to keep you from floating off into the clouds."

She grew more serious, "Nothing worth mastering is ever easy Alys, and we don't always see the results immediately."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Hey, there was only that one time I wanted to see if I can use move to float." She laughed out loud gently. "Disarmed, really? Or disrobed?"

She kept looking at the people. "True... no one was born a master. At least I assume not. Though who knows with Master Shan." She looked away mischievously.

"Why does this need to be so.. .hard?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Master Shan has stories of her own failures, I am sure," Yslane nodded, "Because that is the way of the Universe, Alys." She smiled, "The path to easy power is born of corruption and ultimately fleeting. But true understanding and strength takes time."

She took her friend's hands again, "Alys don't let your defeat crush your spirit. Its too beautiful to be so clouded."

[Alysele Cortess]

"...You should be a poet." She smiled, and leaned in closer to Yslane. "I'll... try. I think... no. I want to see this through. Otherwise it'll haunt me. If I want to get through this hump, I need to do this."

She removed herself and her hand from her friend. "People might start staring soon. Or maybe they already are. Don't want to embarrass you."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Oh...." Yslane blushed, "Yeah I suppose they are expecting us to kiss or make out right on the table here." She laughs, "I'd imagine that would make a few of patrons' nights."

"Thank you Alys," She smiled more warmly, "Remember...I still believe in you."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Well.... I'm not exactly taken." She winked at him, before letting out a laugh. "Sorry, I know I'm terrible." Her smile turned warmer. "See? You're already helping. Your faith in me means a lot. I know you're not someone who just throws that around easily. So! Let's say I am not giving up on my life at the moment. What else do you want to talk about?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"How are you and your Captain?" Yslane leans back and asks in a far too innocent manner.

[Alysele Cortess]

"Well... I walked into that one, didn't I? We're... well. Good, I guess. We like each other's company." She waved a finger at Yslane. "In more ways than one, thank you very much, don't laugh. We don't know where this'll go... we both have our duties at the moment. We're not exactly putting a name on it... or at least, I'm not. And we made no promises to each other. We'll try to meet up in the future more often." She glanced away from Yslane's face again. "We were friends before we were.... whatever we are. Would like to keep that going."

She let out a sigh. "Now, to make that work with no attachments."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Oh two scions of noble houses?" She teased, "And heroes of the Republic in training."

"...yeah no attachments is always an issue, but its not unheard of for Jedi to marry."

"I suppose to be fair and pass around the embarrassment....I'll be needing your help tomorrow," She rubs her cheek, managing to hide most of a blush.

[Alysele Cortess]

Aly smiled, though it was a weird one. Not warm, but not cold. Not joyful, but not sad. It was... serenity? "Well, I'm not exactly a scion in my current role, and... I don't know if I want to be." She looked up at Yslane's eyes.

"Well... that, I can help with. What is going on exactly Padawan Tssilla?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Sorry for bringing it up there Alys," She reaches over to pat her friends hand, then answers her question.

"About the...." Yslane mimics putting foundation on.

[Alysele Cortess]

"No problem Ys. It feels... good to say things out loud." She smirked. Widely. Slightly predatory. "Oh? Details? I need them to... I need context to make it just perfect."
