[D6ME] They Fight Crime

[Niall Organa]

Niall shifted, pulling the cloak more completely over his Republic uniform. When one's armor only came in one color... at least, just as before, he remembered to change out of regulation boots as well.

He recognized a place where he didn't belong. He only hoped that the Senator would show up soon.

It didn't take her long. The Senator did not stop to meet and greet any who might know of her and instead went directly to the paazak machines, putting money into two machines to save the seat next to her.

[Niall Organa]

Niall waited a minute or two before casually (or at least as best he could manage) walking over, taking the adjacent paazak machine. He began to play casually, making a game of trying to break even while he let the Senator take the lead.

She doesn't look at him, but clicks on her communicator that is looped on her ear.

Shortly after, Niall gets a call.

Frowning, Niall drew out his datapad, which doubled as a communicator.

"Go ahead." He answered.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa did not speak for a few moments. Just the noise of the casino filled the call. Eventually she began to speak softly

"I'm going to move to a seat a ways away. We can talk through here. It doesn't seem like either of us were followed, but it would be best to not be in the exact same space."

She stands and walks to another row f machines nearer the center of the establishment, but still within eyesight of Niall.

"So, what do you have for me?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall cleared his throat, keeping his eyes focused on the game. "The one we're looking for is an evocii named Thunj. Our primary objective is to find his Imperial source, with the eventual goal of putting a stop to the smuggling."

The machine paid out. Niall blew the next hand intentionally. "Let me know if there's anything you need from me. And do keep the comm on." He said.

"And both are said to be here at this casino?"

Adrianaa thinks to herself, wondering if any of her own contacts would have put in touch with the name.

"Just the evocii, as far as I know." Niall said.

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: Perception or Streetwise at Average with a setback.

Adrianaa begins to scan the crowd, seeing if any Evoci are in the area.

"Niall, I think we might have someone watching us after all..."

She shifts a little uneasy in her chair.

A handsome man at a table paying Sabacc glances at the Senator and makes eye contact and smiles.

Adrianaa smiles back and scans again ((This time with the proper dice roll! But lets keep the guy interested in us, makes for more fun!))

"Sitting at the Saabac table, a gentleman is eyeing me."

She spots what appears to be an Evoci farther out in the crowd.

"I think I spotted the evoci though.."

The male evocii is trying his hand at slots and does not seem to be winning.

Adrianaa gets up and walks slowly toward the Evoki.

"If the man at the sabaak table follows, I need you to intercept. Leaving this line open so you can hear the conversation.

She sits down next to Thunj

"Bad luck huh? I never liked slots myself. Too much chance, not enough skill. But they are good to relax and chat at."

She smiles and looks at him directly in the eye.

"Niall said you had something you wanted to chat about? Or knew someone who could?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Wait who are you?" the evocii says as he pulls his jacket close around him.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Don't be so jumpy. Carefully now, look back the way I came. To the left, there is a row of slots like this. Sitting on the far right one is Captain Niall Organa. He said I should speak with you."

She keeps her eyes forward and begins to play the machine.

[Dapper Dog]

"Okay... okay, I am not jumpy just cautious, anyone could be listening," he says nervously.

Unsurprisingly, Niall is incredibly unaware of whatever is happening.

Niall lost sight of the handsome face in the crowd.

Then he was next to the senator and says, "Excuse me madam, have we met before? I feel like I would never forget such a face, was it at a salon? No... more likely one of Dango the Hutt's parties... or maybe it was a Black Sun engagement?"

Niall winced. "Adri, give me a sign if you want me to intervene. I could join the conversation." He spoke into their shared link.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa holds a finger up to the evoki, the universal signal to wait a moment.

"Pardon me."

She faces the man addressing her.

"There are many places we may have met. I am awful with names however, so please forgive me. You are?"

She reaches up to her ear and brushes her hair back, turning off the comlink to Niall, hoping the man understood the signal.

Niall frowned as the commlink went dead. The only reason to do that, he figured, would be if they were about to be in conversational range. Which meant she did need his help.

Standing up, he made his way over, a charming smile on his face, ready to insert himself into the conversation at an appropriate moment, possibly one provide by Adri.

[Dapper Dog]

"Gil, Malam Gil," he says with a smooth Imperial inflection.

"Well if we have not met before then consider myself chastised for not crossing your path sooner," Malam finishes.

The evocii fidgets nervously.
