A Reckoning (D6, LE)

[Galen Sol]

They had stalled for as long as they could, seeking a solution that would appease Ryssa Lim or dissuade her from further hostility with the Starcross. But, it was time to face her.

Galen had volunteered for the meeting and arrived at the designated time and place, unarmed and alone.

[Dapper Dog]

The Casino was packed but as he steps on the premises, security gives him a thorough pat down and says, "The Boss is waiting for you in the Private Sabacc Lounge. Don't keep her waiting."

[Galen Sol]

He simply nodded and went straight to the room.

[Dapper Dog]

"Well looked what the vine cat drug in. Sit down, want a drink?" she says crossing her legs and enjoying a drink.

Three thugs wait around the edges of the room. Ryssa says, "I don't have my product... heard your ship missed another shipment. It's like your trying to piss me off."

[Galen Sol]

"I'm good." he waved off the drink. "We took damage during that initial job. The one that was apparently your cargo. We haven't been able to get it repaired. The ship's been sitting there since."

"We couldn't do your job. We likely can't do anything else you'd ask." he admitted. "But, all of that's on me. I'm the one who was negotiating with you."

[Dapper Dog]

"So are you here for me to have one of my men take you out back and shoot you or do you have something of equal value I might want?" Ryssa asks.

[Galen Sol]

"Will it end with me?"

[Dapper Dog]

"A martyr?" she laughs.

"I am still out now 40,000 credits give or take. Your life is not even worth a fourth of that, honey."

[Galen Sol]

"Then my death serves no purpose." he shrugged. "You still won't be able to collect. I am curious as to what that initial cargo was, though. What are 'Bunchi Bodi Treats'?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I can tell you what they were not, which is Bunchi Bodi Treats. So what are we going to do then?" she asks of the man.

[Galen Sol]

"I've spent the past few days looking for something we could offer you. But, it doesn't look like anything has panned out." he explained. "I am open to suggestions, but I really don't know what I can do."

[Dapper Dog]

"You're a martyr, I can clear your debt, but you work for me now. You do the jobs I give you, when I give them to you, no questions asked," she offers.

[Galen Sol]

"No." he shook his head. "I'm not serving another master. I realize the position I'm in, but that isn't an option. I'm willing to do jobs for you, but jobs of my choosing. If you want the best results, you'll send me out to hunt. The right creature can be worth a lot to the right buyer."

[Dapper Dog]

That perks her up and she says, "You ever catch an acklay?"

[Galen Sol]

"No. But, I don't see why I couldn't." he answered. "I'm familiar with them."

"Nem'ro wants one for his menagerie, you get us an acklay, I will consider not killing you and your friends," she offers.

"I hate to waste possibly good resources."

"Alright." he nodded. "You'll have it."

[Dapper Dog]

"Don't disappoint me a third time," she warns.

[Galen Sol]

"If I do, I'll be dead." he smirked. "So, you'll at least have that."
