"What do you remember?" She asked "if you don't mind me asking "

[Eight]

The droid paused. "It's not about me. But I need to know more and talk to the boss first."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Xero? So you knew him before joining the Starcross?" She asked

[Eight]

"Took a few jobs." Eight admitted. "Could be about you." The droid finally admitted.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"You wish to speak with Xero about me?" Aphr said with a little surprise "I hope it's nothing bad! I'll be reporting about this job."

[Eight]

"Shouldn't be." The droid clarified. "Just something he should be kept aware of. He dotes on you so I expect he'll tell you whatever I tell him." There was no judgement, either warm or cold, in the assessment of Xero's relationship with his slave-daughter.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Mm...I see" Aphr nodded "I won't pry, don't worry. I'm certain Xero has nothing to worry about though? Except for a job to do."

She opened the doors to the outside for Eight, holding them.

"Do you intend to attend the Mandalorian party later?"

[Eight]

The droid nodded. "Good to make good relations with the Mandalorians. They usually run a tight ship and are never hurting for jobs."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Plus they make good fighters" Aphr added with a chuckle "I'll be along also. Galen I believe intends to go as well, it'll be quite an experience. I've spoken with a few Mandalorians before, but I don't think we've done many jobs for them."

A pause, before she added "although I imagine the Imperial and Republic will find their way in also."

[Eight]

"Mandalorians are usually the competition for jobs, but if you ply them right you can hear about juicy jobs they don't have an interest in." Eight replied. "Some let others join in for a job or two if they're looking for cannon fodder too." A rumbling noise came out of Eight's chest that Aphr recognized from their time together as Eight laughing.

"Bring a blaster, Mandalorians can get rowdy, and from what I hear about the group setting up the party, I think the Imperials and the Republic might just be disappointed if they're looking for a crew that will turn the tide for them here."

[Aphr Ahaya]

It always amused her when the droid laughed. "I'll be armed and ready. Hopefully like most, they'd rather stare at me than shoot me" Aphr smiled "hopefully you're right. We have one job to focus on, but having more lined up would certainly be welcome."

She paused to think as they walked, looking thoughtful for a long while before she spoke again, mostly to herself.

"I certainly need the focus."

[Eight]

"Focus comes with time and experience." Eight said simply. "Little of it as you might get compared to myself or Xero." The droid shrugged, something it had picked up from the living.

"Pick up jobs are quick, so there's that at least. Get there, grab it, get back." He nodded to himself.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"It'll be a very quick job with Xeros guidance. He's quite impressive in plotting a quite brilliant course" Aphr said with a nod "after doing this for years and growing up on the job I'd like to think I have a little experience, but I have plenty more to learn."

[Eight]

"Maybe he'll give you some lessons one day. Let you fly the ship beside him." Eight says. Once he's finally decided if he wants a slave or a daughter.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I have flown before, but it would be nice to do it again" Aphr agreed "but I am happy to do what I'm doing now of course."

She looked over towards the cantina.

"I think I shall return to the ship before I head to the party, as it's only a short trip. Will you join me?"

[Eight]

"Gotta get dolled up for a night on the town?" The droid's optics turned towards Aphr. "Sure, got a decent layout of this place already. Let's get going."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I've never needed anything like that, my natural youthful beauty handles that" Aphr said with a grin "I can inform Xero of the job, and Galen wanted to meet me there before we went to the party anyway. Anything I need to know about the layout? Extra exits?"

She knew them, but she was curious if the droid had seen something she hadn't.

[Eight]

"Nothing seemed outside the ordinary." Eight replied. "There's probably a third exit by the bar where the workers go in and out, but can't get back there during business hours. Large windows are promising for quick exits."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Windows" Aphr nodded "I had thought that. My small size doesn't need big windows, and i'm sure you don't need to escape. You're the fighter of us after all."

[Eight]

"Never discount the notion that there is a bigger fish. Especially when going to a Mandalorian party." Eight responded, then paused. "Doubly so when there are Sith and Jedi about."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Well, if Jedi and Sith cause a problem, we got blasters" Aphr patted her belt, with the blaster "let's go with avoiding fighting though. Xero wouldn't like to see either of us broken up."
