It would hopefully be a quick meet. There was a party later, and it would serve as a terrible distraction. Aphr entered the cantina, and with a sweet smile asked for Shades.

An overly hairy whiphid with a dirty apron grunts at her and then removes his shades and says in Huttese, “Upstairs, room 3.”
He then goes back to cleaning and serving drinks for the bar patrons.

With a nod of thanks, she heads up the stairs. Finding room 3, and knocking

The door slides and inside is a round table with two cups and a humanoid sitting on one side in a long robe with hood obscuring their face. The figure motions for her to enter with a gloved hand. It speaks with a modulated voice, “I won’t waste time, you hear for the job.”

(If there are no objections, I'd like to be along)
Eight was silent as he followed Aphr, playing the part of the dumb silent droid for now as the meeting got underway.

Aphr entered, with or without droid depending on if it's allowed, and had a friendly smile. She didn't speak until the door was closed. "Straight to business, I like that. I am indeed here for the job."

“Good, 500 creds now and 2500 upon safe delivery of the package to the spaceport. Quick and quiet to Kintan, Kalra Spaceport, the package should be at the spaceport in Warehouse 13-C. Get it and bring it back and you get the 2500 as promised,” the figure says.
“Intact and undamaged.”

"Of course" the pink Twi'lek nodded; these were the easy missions. "When will the package be ready for collection?"

"If you're taking the job, about twelve standard hours from now on Kintan. Again intact and undamaged, the materials are sensitive," the voice says.

"We'll take the job" she nodded in confirmation "and I can assure you the delivery will be done quickly, carefully and privately" the Twi'lek smiles.
(Ooc - how long in timeslots?)

The figure slides over a data chit, "500 creds up front."
OOC: 6 time slots, you still have to go to Kintan either leaving tonight or i the morning on Day 2.

Once the transaction/transfer had taken place, Aphr nodded. "Anything else we would need to know?"

"You have the task, there is nothing else," the voice responds.

Eight was silent as he listened to the conversation, examining the possibilities as to what their cargo was and what resistance they were likely to face. He moved beside Aphr as she stood.

Once they had left, and started heading down, she looked up at the large droid. "That was easy, no?" she commented quietly.

"Too easy." Eight replied equally quietly. "You should have asked if there was a time table, and the size of the container. The one to determine how much trouble we'll be in moving this, the other to get an idea of what we are shipping." The droid explained simply, like an old hand at smuggling jobs. "Easy enough to disguise that as necessary questions for the job. The former to make certain the client is happy, the latter to make certain we've enough storage space on the ship for the cargo."

"I didn't see him as the kind to give much more information...but you are correct that I could have asked about size of the delivery" she frowned slightly "I hadn't expected such a quick affair. Xero is fast though, we can get the delivery there and back in little time at all."

Eight considered that. "Potentially, it is something to keep in mind, you are still learning." The droid paused again. "Assuming whatever attempts to cause us trouble does not get in the way. Though if that happens," The droid paused, "Well then at least I'll have something to do again. I shouldn't be too rusty."

There was a laugh at that, and Aphr nodded. "I know that should something cause an issue, we have the best droid on the case to assist. Hopefully your skills won't be needed for this job though. In the future, who knows?"

Eight paused for an uncharacteristically long moment at that laugh as something clicked for him. "Hmm, that'd be alright, easy money is good money." He finally said.

"I have a feeling you would prefer a different kind of job though?" She looked back up at the large droid as they left the building "while I may serve Xero, you're part of the Starcross crew. If you wish for me to help arranging jobs for you, please let me know."

"Hrrm, I might surprise you then Aphr. I like a good fight, but survival is still key." Eight explained. "Easy jobs mean fewer repair bills, which means more money for getting better able to handle more dangerous moments."
The droid paused. "What do you remember about your life before you came to serve the Hutt?"

"So delivering a box might be ideal!" she replied with a laugh, nodding "I'll keep listening then."
She then paused at his question. It looked a difficult one. "My life before the Hutts...I remember a little of it. I remember my sister mostly, but my parents always tried to keep us apart. She was no good, would be a bad influence, they would always say. Then she was sent away."
She put a hand on her chest, touching the hidden pendant through her clothes.
"Why do you ask?"

Eight paused for a long moment again. Strange. Why would they be worried about a singer? His eyes followed Aphr's movement to her chest, Fleshbag affliction or something more, perhaps?
"I do not remember most of my past. It doesn't concern me," He clarified, "I am what I am and that is all I need. But it is interesting to know what others remember of their own past."
The lie was easy enough and half-true. (Eight's Deception skill would be only 2 Difficulty Die to counter)
