Second Glances in the Den (EA3)

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala returned to the Viper the next day, though her attire looked slightly different than the day before. There was a shiny black pip on the both sides of the inside centerline of her collar and her code cylinders looked freshly polished. She slipped into the Mandalorian's domain once again, but this time she did not look for one of Corso's men. No.... this time, she had someone special and singularly different in mind. Dear Vora....

[Moyr Ahaya]

Behind the Colonel, there came the Wraith, blackly cloaked and redly masked. She wasn't exactly unassuming, just not imposing or meaning to draw attention. Her step had a subtle spring to it that aided its fluidity. She too was looking for Vora.

There is a vicious fist fight as a woman takes down three assailants with savage punches and a vicious kick to knock a rodian unconscious. She pits blood from a busted lip ad says, “Weak, this is what passes for Mandalorian these days?”

[Moyr Ahaya]

"It depends where you look." Moyr remarked, observing the fight.

[Dapper Dog]

“And who the piss are you,” she says still in the anger zone.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"A friend of some Mando'a. And by virtue of that, probably the enemy of some others. The Clans do an excellent job in making your far less than you should be. I bet this is one of the true reasons of your anger you're taking out and those who can't deliver a good fight. Your defiant anger makes you stronger than them though. They probably resigned to how things are and are content with little more than the life of hired guns."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not sure if you are just confusing me or pissing me off," she says in reply tightening her fists.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Probably both. You're Vora, right? Corso told me about you. Good things mostly." Moyr did not react for now.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"She's not trying to do either, Vora," said the older colonel, "She's just trying to establish an emotional connection with you."

[Dapper Dog]

“Kriff your emotions.”

“Especially emotional Imperial dogs just looking for scraps; if you’re looking for sympathy go find an escort. We ain’t friends.” Vora reaches out and grabs a bottle and drinks from it.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"No, but I'd like us to be. I'm not interested in scraps. And I don't view you like a flea bitten dog looking for scraps, either. You have potential, and you have respect. I hear you are good, very good, and if either of us is just looking for an easy lay then we're in the wrong place. So unless you are over here for some Imperial tail then let's move past the bullshit, shall we?" Hala said sternly, shifting her position uncomfortably in her chair when she bumped the backrest with her right shoulder.

[Dapper Dog]

She says, “Fine.”

“So what are you doing here, looking to hire? Talk to my father, I don’t do negotiations.”

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Not here to talk to your father. Kriff youre father. I'm here to talk to the future of Clan Nodd, you."

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr turned quiet for now, seeing that Hala was handling it.

[Dapper Dog]

“Not sure if I should you punch you in the mouth or laugh. But I will humor you,” she finishes her bottle and puts it on the table.

“Get us a bottle of Rodian Red Whiskey and I will listen, until I finish the bottle at least.”

OOC: 40 credits a bottle.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"On me, since I'm red too." Moyr joked and ordered the thing.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala waived over a server and placed the order.

"All your father seems to want in life is to fight for credits and to make your life difficult.... So what do you want?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Talk Imperial,” she says opening the top with sheer strength and drinking straight from the bottle.

After a hearty drought she hands it to Moyr.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"What do you want in life? Your father wants to take scraps to fight others fights, Corso wants to unify the clans for a new golden age..... What do you want?" She repeated.

[Dapper Dog]

“It depends on what is best for my daughter, I guess,” she says honestly.

“Corso ain't wrong, but my father runs the clan.”

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Among the Sith the stronger one claims control despite family ties. Dorak tried to take out Corso and failed. Now he's going to go after lesser targets. Not a show of strength really."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Your father runs the clan until he doesnt. Depends on whether he loses the leadership or gets himself killed before or after he gets your daughter killed on some job for a handful of credits because the client wasn't up from about the situation, the danger, any number of factors that means she winds up a bloody and charred mess on the streets of the Shadow. Is that future a better one for your daughter than one where Corso unifies the clans for the benefit of all of them?"

[Dapper Dog]

“So get to your point, what do you want from me?” the woman asks. “My daughter is my business, and you’re not fooling me. You, or maybe I should say the Empire, wants something. You backing Corso? Is that what this is about?” she says narrowing her eyes.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"We are backing the idea of the Mandalorians getting strength and unity because that fact alone makes our enemies weaker no matter how relations between a robust Mandalore and the Empire could look like. Which means backing Corso at this point. He wants new worlds for the Mandalorians, gear, money, position, dignity, security, power. He can get this if Clans align more. Your father prefers to act against his own than to consider the notion for what it is. We got a memo that he has sent people to off your ex on Makeb just because he starts seeing eye to eye with Corso. So we're giving you heads-up in case you wanted to take matters in your hands before that happens and change the guard at the helm of Clan Vodd."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am going to need more than just your word for it," she offers putting the bottle down.
