No Sleep Til Mandalore (D4 MA)

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa enters the bar and looks around, searching for a particular patron.

"Excuse me, do you know where I can find Kyr'ad?"

[Nekoinu]

Kyr'ad Kelborn was with his clan, as per usual. He signaled the Senator from his spot to come join them.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Afternoon, my Mandalorian friend. I have a proposition for you, if you are interested."

[Nekoinu]

"It's amusing how this cantina has become a hotspot for dealing with Mandalorians." He took a swig of his ale and then nodded. "Alright, let's hear it lass."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"You said yesterday the trials of a Mandalorian are quite rigorous. I imagine that is because in the field, you need only the best."

Adrianaa brings out a datapad and sets it on the table. On it a picture of a drug known as Lessai is showing.

"One dose, no need to sleep for over 24 hours. No ill effects. I have a crate of it. 20 doses, plus one to sample."

"Imagine, the best warriors in the universe and their one setback that all living things have taken away."

[Nekoinu]

"I see." He leaned back in his chair and shrugged. "There's obviously use to it. But that's an awful low amount of doses, aruteii. That couldn't cover an entire strike team. Where did you find this anyways?"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"I brought it with me. Pillaged it from someone who didn't need it anymore a while back. I know it isn't a lot, but for now it's what I can offer. Two things I look for in return. Credits, and loyalty."

[Nekoinu]

"Credits come and go easily," he said with a grin. However, his expression turned more serious. "Although now I wish to know what you intend by 'loyalty.'"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"I have a bit of a reputation in the underworld of sorts. The name Swamp Dog. Numerous organizations, criminal, mercenary, corporate.. all willing to work with and loyal to me. And by extention, the Republic. There are many things that need to be done that the Senate and the Republic Military can't be attached to."

"But none the less, they still need to be done. I'm offering you with this sale a chance to have a steady employer for operations. Might even have one coming up here soon you would be called on for."

[Nekoinu]

Kyr'ad nodded. "Right. The senator with a bit of underhanded dealings, not that I care to judge or anything."

He took another swig from his drink. "So, what makes you think I would accept your deal anyways?"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa shrugs

"I am not sure. Why would you have came to chat the other day? I'm sure you've seen many a singer, and many much younger or prettier than I..."

[Nekoinu]

"Younger, sure. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." He let out a hearty chuckle and drank from his cup. "You singing impressed me, Senator. Try not to underestimate your own abilities."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

She smiles and bows her head a little.

"Fair enough. Then, I suppose I just have my speculation to go off of."

She looks back up into the mans eyes.

"If you show me good faith in purchasing the stimulants, it shows you are willing to do business with me. That I have a contact to offload any assets I might have the chance of running across in the future."

Adrianaa swipes her finger across the datapad a few times before laying it down again, this time with the picture of the Pirate Queen, Thaya Kess, setting the pad back down for all to see.

"Then, I can discuss hiring you and your squad for another matter I have in mind, that would pay out immensely more than what you bought the stims for."

[Nekoinu]

"Fine. We can buy the stimulants. We'll see if my boys even want to use them though." He shrugged. "Could be good for my old, withering body!"

Kyr'ad looked at the datapad and perked a brow. "The pirate queen, huh? What could you possibly need that involves her?"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"In a show of faith, I'll do the whole crate for 6k. Usually sells for 400 a unit, so 100 off per?"

Adrianaa glances at the datapad.

"I have some...disagreements with how she does business. Two rules of mine, no kids and no slaves. "

[Nekoinu]

Kyr'ad perked his brow. "That's a steep cost for the shipment. And you're sure that these don't have any side effects?" He shrugged. "Always need to make sure what I'm buying."

The old Mandalorian glanced back at the picture. "So this would be some dispute against her then?"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"No side effects I'm aware of. Since I can't say 100%, I can go to 150 off, so a total of 5,000. And I have one sample, I can take it if it would ease your mind."

"Not exactly a vendetta against her. More like...a change in leadership. If you and your men along with a few other of my contacts can take her out, there would be a need for someone to take her place."

She goes to shake the mans hand

"And, I think you would make a perfect fit."

[Nekoinu]

"Lowering the price for me? You're an interesting woman, Senator."

He looked at the hand and back to her. "I don't think piracy is in my best interests. But if you want me to help the good fight, then I think that can be arranged."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Once you control them, who says you have to be a pirate. I just see an organization with a lot of resources, equipment, warriors, and starships that could be quite..."

"Useful."

[Nekoinu]

"Very well. Contact me with further details when you're ready. Tomorrow, right?" He took the hand with a grin.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

She chuckles

"It could take a little longer to get everything set, but I will let you know. "

"Ah, and the payment for the stims... I can go get them now, and have payment when I return with them? If you dont mind, a stick wpuld work better than an account transfer. Best to keep things out of tracers hands "

[Nekoinu]

Kyr'ad put forth his contact details. "Keep in touch, Senator. And I understand how this works. Been in it for a long time now."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa nods and turns to leave.

Some time later, she returns to the bar with a crate.

"Anywhere specific you want this?"

She also produces the sample she offered.

"And, if you want me to prove to you its safe, I can take this. Otherwise, an extra dose for you, free of charge."

[Nekoinu]

Kyr'ad smirked. "Take it now. Let me know when we do the exchange if it has any side effects. As for the crate, we'll do the exchange when I have your credits for you. I wouldn't want to leave a lady hanging."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa nods and rubs the stimulant under her chin, a thin purple line, matching the color of her lipstick and eye shadow visible.

"Chat soon."

She smiles and heads out the bar, feeling alert and well awake now.
