[D6ME] They Fight Crime

[Niall Organa]

Perhaps Adrianna could handle herself. After all, the main goal was the evocii.

"Excuse me, I- oh." Niall said as he approached Adrianna, looking back and forth between the Senator and the handsome man she was speaking to. He smiled ever so slightly. "My apologies. I didn't realize. I'll, ah, leave you alone then." He moved off, giving a significant glance at the evocii, and a jerk of his head to follow if Malam wasn't looking.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa nods to Niall and then focuses on Gil.

"Well, a pleasure to meet you. I'm guessing you know who I am, but since you introduced yourself, customs dictate I do the same. Adrianaa Morindel."

She stands up from the slot machine and extends a hand to shake.

[Dapper Dog]

“Customs are a sign of civility and culture, it is a pleasure madam,” he says confidently. “I am sorry if this your date?”

He turns to look at Niall with a friendly countenance.

[Niall Organa]

Niall laughed softly, shaking his head. "No no, nothing like that. I'm previously acquainted with Adrianaa is all. I saw her and came over to chat before I realized that she was already in a conversation."

He looked at Adrianaa. "We can catch up later. I wouldn't want to get in the way." The last is said a bit softer, with a grin.

[Dapper Dog]

He pats the evocii lightly on the shoulder and says, “Well I think I am being a third wheel here, and as much as I enjoy the lovely company I don’t want to intrude. Plus this poor fellow has had some bad luck.”

The evocii grumbles, “My luck is going to turn, I know it!”

Malam adds, “Good day.”

[Niall Organa]

"If you're sure." Niall said. "Well. Perhaps we'll speak again sometime." In fact, he was rather certain of it.

[Dapper Dog]

Malam chuckles and says, "Maybe another time, but I don;t wish to intrude on your matters. I just needed to introduce myself to this beautiful woman."

[Niall Organa]

"Believe me, it takes longer than a brief introduction to get to know Adri." Niall said, smiling. "I'm still working on it, in fact." That was certainly true. "And knowing her, I think she'd rather spend the time in your company than in mine." Also true, come to think of it.

"Besides, I'd rather see if my luck is any better, too." He glanced back towards the Pazaak machines.

[Dapper Dog]

"I never had a hand fro the game," Malam replies glancing to the tables.

[Niall Organa]

"Oh really?" Niall said. "Would you care to learn? I could show you." His lips twisted. "I suppose that leaves you with the difficult decision of spending time with a beautiful woman... or myself." He gave his best charming smile.

[Dapper Dog]

“By all means, I could stand to learn to play the game at a middling level,” he says with a smile.

[Niall Organa]

Niall smiled. "Well then, right this way, and I'll show you." He gestured with one hand, palm open, towards the games.

[Dapper Dog]

Malam follows the Republic soldier.

[Dapper Dog]

Meanwhile as the two walk away the evocii goes into convulsions and then falls out of his chair gasping for air foaming at the mouth.

[Niall Organa]

"Damn, damn." Niall hurries back to the evocii. "Stay back! Is there a doctor?" He does his best to clear the area around the evocii, and hopefully give Adri a chance to surreptitiously search him. He also kept a careful eye on the Imperial spy, avoiding his touch, not wanting to suffer the same fate.

[Dapper Dog]

"We need a doctor," Malam says with a frown as Hutt security approaches and looks at the scene.

[Niall Organa]

"Yes, that's what I said." Niall is unable to keep a bit of irritation from his voice. There seemed to be no doubt that he'd lost this round. And with this being their only lead, he wasn't sure if there would be another.

Niall leaned close to the evoci, hoping that he might, in his last moments, give him some clue.

[Dapper Dog]

The evocii grabs him briefly and then collapses... but in that brief moment slips a small data chit into Niall's hands.

Malam is gone lost in the crowd and confusion.

[Niall Organa]

Carefully, Niall pockets the chit. "I'm sorry." He whispers to the dead evocii. It seemed likely that their presence had lead to his death.

He stood, his expression serious. "Let's go." He said to Adri, with a jerk of his head. He didn't want to read the chit while there was a chance they could be seen, and this place wasn't nearly secure enough for his liking.
