Some areas may become Restricted due to Scrutiny or Events. Restricted areas cannot be entered but one can try and sneak in.
Sneaking into a Restricted area is in general a combination of two different skill rolls at Hard difficulty. You can choose from Stealth, Computers, Piloting Planetary, Piloting Space, Skullduggery, or Mechanics. You can also replace one of these skills with a Force power if it is applicable. This must be done for each character in the thread, though if using Computer or Mechanics, you can with three advantage turn off security for a time. Allowing others to bypass the security for that slot. A Triumph on a roll can also be used to bypass security for all involved for that thread. For purposes of breaking and entering one can use Advantage to assist your allies, 2 Advantage can be utilized to give an ally a boost die.
Failure on sneaking means you simply fail to get in, possible Threat may alert guards at GM discretion and a Despair means you are caught and Scrutiny is decreased by .3. Area descriptions will list if an area is Restricted, if not noted it is open. Also an area can be labeled Restricted temporarily due to events.
Attempting to sneak into the Grand Palace of the Hutts, Club Vertica, or Nem'ro's Palace requires that one upgrade two of the difficulty dice to Challenge dice.
