[Nekoinu]

"I see people that I will speak to in the future. I believe that is me having visions of my own future," she said with a smile on her lips. She then took a reserved sip from her drink. And then another.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I see. My apologies for understanding that then" Aphr nodded "how long have you trained with the force?"

[Nekoinu]

"I have trained since the day I was born." She muffled a laugh in her sleeve. "We Miruluka see through the Force. My formal training began when I was a youngling on Coruscant."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr chucked. "I see, since you were born huh? I've got a long way to catch up then! It must have been tough, growing up with the force and being so restrained."

[Nekoinu]

"What do you mean by restrained?

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I imagine growing up around the force, you weren't encouraged to use it for just anything, right? A child with free reign to use powers would be difficult to control" she clarified

[Nekoinu]

"Ah. Yes, I was taught not to be flippant with my usage of the Force. To be honest, I did not have na issue with it. Many others do, however."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Why am I not surprised...

"What happens with those who struggle with that?"

[Nekoinu]

"They may falter but most progress to the padawan stage. It is then up to their individual masters to assess their capabilities."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr nodded, taking a sip of her drink as she thought on that. "How old are most when they become padawans?"

[Nekoinu]

"Most become padawans before puberty begins. The process then usually extends into young adulthood, where one must face the Trials to become a Knight."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"So at my age..." She frowned a little "it seems I'll be quite late to this party, huh?"

[Nekoinu]

Lyshea muffled another laugh in her sleeve. "That is one interpretation. However, I did state that it is most padawans who begin young. It is not unheard of for a Jedi to be trained older." A pause. "Such a feat require the approval of the Jedi Council."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"So only those who are picked by the council will get trained" Aphr nodded, not liking that "seems...like a way to miss the chance to train people before others get to them."

"Why would the council refuse someone though?"

[Nekoinu]

"I do not always agree with the Council's decisions," she admitted, "If it were my decision, I would allow each and every willing person to be trained by the Jedi. But it is not so," she concluded without bitterness.

"The Council may refuse someone if they believe it is too late to begin training. Many members who join in later years struggle with the tenants of the Jedi."
