Nar Shaddaa

Yslane slipped into the club with the other patrons. She tried to make herself small, just some Republic government employee out for a little fun tonight.

A quick survey of the club floor led the her to an out of the way table, as private as one can get in this locale. But with all the noise and other entertainments, it seems like she goes unnoticed. Beyond perhaps a few who tag her as an easy mark later in the night.

She does not have to wait long before a woman slips in weaving through the crowd as if they don’t even see her and she stands opposite of the bureaucrat. She speaks in a soft voice which seems to be just loud enough to hear, “Greetings.”

Yslane smiles pleasantly at the newcomer, "Welcome." Her eyes travel across the club, keeping watch on any nearby patrons. Yslane's peripheral vision stays on the hooded figure.

“You have come a long way, I posses no name that would be meaningful to you. Call me Magpie,” she says softly under the thrum of bass and music.

“The Republic has come far for nothing.”

Yslane shifts her weight back to one foot, "How do you mean that? The talks or....something else?" Her eyes flick back to the person speaking.

“These talks are a lie, the Sith will never back down. I have warned the Jedi, and they seem incapable of listening,” she says softly.

Yslane considered this for a moment before replying, "Do you have anything I can show my superiors about the Sith's real intentions?" She keeps her expression level, her own opinions were the Sith were not to be trusted but....her duty meant she had to put aside those feelings and judge whatever was said objectively.

“No,” she says softly.

“I do not have the evidence but I know that the agents of Darth Baras are working in the shadows. I believe they may make an attempt on the life of Senator Herresh.”

Her eyes narrow a fraction, "...any idea when? Or any details that could help?" Not that such information would be surprising, Yslane is actually more curious if it was a result of Sith internal politics or overall policy. Regardless she would let the Jedi know.

“Look for the sword, her name is Layne, Sword of Darth Baras,” she says softly.

“If she is here, she is here to kill someone.”

"I'll pass her name along." She nods, now Yslane wonders if she might be part of a Sith internal plot, "Anything else?"

“I have nothing else of value to you,” she says quietly.

"Thank you...I'll bring your words to my comrades." She nods slowly, "You mentioned a proposal to my colleagues...is it just this warning or did you have something in mind?"

“I have a plan to destroy the Sith lord Darth Baras, but I am not sure I can do it alone,” she says after a long pause.

"And you will not share details until we commit?" She stifles a smirk, "...if such is the case I will need to consult with my fellows."

“Then I await your reply,” she says softly. She puts a small comm.-link on the table, “This is a one way communicator, encrypted, simply press the button and it will alert me.”

“I will then contact you.”

Yslane slips the comm into her pocket, "Very well." She smiles again, "Lovely night for a drink. Mind if I slip off to the bar?" While you slip away...

The woman nods.

Yslane slips past the cloaked person and makes her way to the bar. Ordering a drink and leaning down, looking painfully out place and nervous...probably wandered into the wrong place and is just trying to make the most of it....
