(Technically open since we're on the Convention floor in costume! :D )

Finally into costume, it was time to walk around, have some fun, take some pictures and show off a little before going on stage for the competition. Shaisha stretched a little awkwardly as she tried to get used to the feel of the space-worbla armor around her.

Oh well, at least Jitter hadn' tinkered on the helmet. She did like being able to see, after all.

"Told you you make a good Lucena Darklight. You almost look more girly than Kris now," she chuckled to Syl, though the helmet concealed her grin.

Sylvain chuckled, "I will have to beg to differ on that... Neither Kris nor 'Lucena' are 'girly'. And neither will put up with guff from the peanut gallery."

He winked and pretended to be a cold and calculating spy.

"Suuuure, Lady-Gloom-Shade," Shaisha teased, dropping into character by using one of the many sassy comments used by Grey Storm.

She sighed a little as she spotted yet another couple of Grey Storm costumes. "Damn... guess it's true what they say that the mouthy-merc is the most cosplayed character..."

"It appears so. Only makes sense, there are enough subversives in this scum pool to drown a mynock in ooze..."

He replied completely in character.

"Sub-whats-nows?" Shaisha chuckled as she tried to stay in character.

Getting out her cam, she quickly yanked Sylucena close for an akward selfie. "Now that was in-character!"

He gave a classic cold tsundere pose to her selfie before smiling as they inspected it.

"I blame dad for this. This was the only show he'd let us watch as kids."

"Heh... I kinda suspect he liked it, since he didn't disapprove of it," she laughed a little and made sure to share the picture online. "And, you know, it was a pretty cool show."

"At least the rest of the galaxy seems to agree that Grey Storm was the best, judging by the amount of Storms I see here."

"Hopefully said popularity will help you collect that 2000 credit prize." He chuckled.

"You'll need it for that shopping list you have."

"Hah... don't think it's gonna win. But that's not the important part, even if winning is fun. Important part is goofing around... life's been way too serious lately," she chuckled. "Damn, I wish we had stuff like this on Dromund Kaas when we were kids."

"As for the shopping list: expense-funds for that and that only. Gonna need receipts for every damn thing too."

"We'd have turned out entirely rotten if we grew up here." He said with a chuckle.

"I have a feeling Kris would have ended up the same though." He smiled, "Probably a good thing she's off planet today. I don't think she'd enjoy this as much as us."

"Which means I'll just have to tag her in every photo I share. Constant notifications and messages," she tried to mimic Grey Storm's laughter, but she was sadly some octaves higher than the badass merc.

"Shame she's missing out. Would've been great if she could've joined us in costume too."

"She'd make a good Captain Bondes." Sylvain said with a smile. Captain Bondes was Lucena's primary romantic partner when he was present; which wasn't all that often with both characters always racing across the galaxy.

Shaisha snickered. "Not a fan of the fan-shipping of Lucena and Grey Storm?"

"But yeah, she'd make a good Bondes. She's got the hair for it."

He chuckled, "You were always the more avid social media presence. All the fanfic romance stuff is beyond me."

He looked at some of the stalls, "So what're we looking for Grey?"

"Hmmm..." Shaisha turned her datapad to the list of what she hadn't picked up earlier. Since she was now fully incognito appearance wise at least, she could buy the stuff she really didn't want to be seen buying normally.

"Right. The Vera Hawke stuff... frikkin' hell. I can see why some of the guys like that show, but I've no idea what he sees in it."

"Everyone has their weird fetishes I suppose. Even Dark Council members..." he smiled.

Shaisha gave an involuntary shudder at that.

"I could have worse assignments," she reminded herself, thinking of the idiot trying to build a giant statue to Vowrawn's glory.

"What about you? Getting anything?"

He chuckled, "Probably not. Armor and gear pretty much emptied me out."

"The frugal and wealthy Sylvain Torsin, broke?" she said with some surprise as they were moving along through the stalls.

"Armored Robes with low friction coating, a curved hilt for my saber and some mods, enough of an arsenal of grenades to incapacitate or kill my master..." he chuckled, "It can set you back a pretty penny."

She gave a slight nod. "You're learning to cover your weaknesses. Not everything can be solved with talking or pressing someone's mind with the Force, after all."

"If you still got some funds left though, you could probably earn a lot of it back if you can play the high Sabacc-tables. We could even manipulate a table together," Shaisha said in a quieter tone.

He chuckled, "Gambling isn't my particular thing. The vices of this town don't hold much allure..."

"It's not vice when it can be used for practical means," she retorted with a shrug. "You should try it once at least... or maybe just place some bets on HuttBall, when that opens up again."

"If you can reduce the risk to make it a sure thing, then perhaps I can give it a try." He replied.

He then chuckled, "Baras seems to be going to great lengths to avoid my calls.... pretending to be dead is a first."

"Oh, look! That's the Mega Blaster 9000 from Galaxy Commando 3: Reverse The Polarity!" Alysele... sorry, Lady Tyrant Vera Knight gestured towards a prop gun that was larger than some humanoids.

"That was a wicked movie... even if it was full of plotholes." The Jedi was dressed up ready for the contest, in a faux leather ensemble that didn't fit quite perfectly. The corset looked good, but was short, and her belly was showing. The heels did make her taller, though still not reaching her companion.

"Oh, look! Luminous Darkness!" She lowered her voice. "I saw some bootleg versions of that."
