With three of the guards dead, the last one raised his hands. "I surrender!" Vera kept her pistol leveled at him and motioned for him to drop his rifle. Afterward, she put a bullet in his skull, the blood splattering on the wall behind him.

The nomcombatants stayed at their posts, frantically trying to call for help.

Yslane glared at the Mando'a, but for now she called out. "Every one step back from your consoles now."

Her gaze went to her compatriots displeasure obvious in her expression.

"Vera!" Niall hissed. He ran one hand through his hair. "We don't kill people who surrender."

Niall turned his attention to the secretaries. The real ones, that is. "I'm willing to bet that Czerka is just a source of a paycheck to you." He said. "They're doing terrible things, and we're here to stop them. If you'll just calmly step away from the consoles, we can work together to make sure that everyone else gets out of here alive. Okay?"

Vera stood at attention. "Sorry sir. The crew isn't going to like dashing the 'no prisoners' rule..." She shook her head and began to drag off the corpses.

In the meantime, one of the employees pulled up a database of Czerka lingo for them to use. "I believe you. When your employer doesn't even tell you what's happening here, it's a bit suspicious."

Niall gave Vera a nod. "That's all right. There are bound to be some adjustments that need to be made. This is a pretty firm one, but I think we can make your crew happy on a number of the others." He moved to help her with moving the bodies.

"I'd better stay off the comms. The rest of you can handle it." Niall said. "And thank you." He said to the employees. "You're doing the right thing."

Arali glares at Vera, but Niall says her piece.

Right now, the key is getting comms back up. It takes some doing, and a spare pair of hands, but eventually, she manages to weld the power cord back together, and reinsulates it with a spray-on sealant. "Just... nobody touch that, okay?" She's not sure how sturdy it is, or how well the insulation will hold if rattled.

Yslane nodded.....this was her moment, she took a deep breath.

"Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?"

Naveera blinked and stared at the others. She mouthed, 'What the fuck are you doing?' Even the hostages were confused. When Vera came back for the next corpse, she simply shook her head and took it with her.

On the other end of the line, the comm operator sighed. "I'm sending a security detail immediately to assess the situation. Remain calm and all will be well."

"Damn." Niall said once the comm was dead.

He let out a puff of breath. "Okay. Let's make sure there's no blood. Let's see if there's a uniform for me without much blood."

He pursed his lips as he searched. "Vera, get in the closet, lock it. If it opens, it means we screwed up, and you can come out shooting. When they get here, we tell them that one of us new people was smoking, it set off the sprinklers, and that shorted things out. Including the closet. With the sprinklers going, maybe they won't want to be here long." He kept working as he spoke.

Arali starts looking for door controls when Niall lays out his plan.

"That... could actually work." She jacks out, and helps clean. Moving bodies is not exactly her forte.

"Maybe something about a radiation leak....." Yslane suggests, cringing at her own failure. And the sprinklers spraying everything.

She then proceeds to help with Niall's plan.

Arali studies the room for a moment, as the skeletons are placed in the proverbial closet, and she puts away thoughts of the dead men for now. Mission now. Guilt later.

Then, she shifts some of the cabling, and finds a nice, big piece of furniture they can 'accidentally' smash down on 'em and roll away. Then, it's a matter of slipping the wires back in front of the door, for a completely plausible bit of damage from the chaos.
