Durasay felt how the battle was flowing. Breathing in deeply, before adding the information to the targetting computer.

"Execute fire plan aurek ceph!" His words were bellowed in directed Mando'a.

(Using the light side pip to add one advantage, adding a boost die to the next allied check. Successes are the next weapons fire on the Tortoise has a boost die)

The pirate craft draws a bead and lands several damaging shots on the hull of the Tortoise! While another pirate craft fires at the Night Saber but the craft is able to evade the worst of the damage, the shields doing much of the work.

The final one spins and makes a bee line away from the action with the weapons out it wanted no part of this action!

OOC: Pirate 2 does 5 damage to the Tortoise before soak, and suffers a system strain. Pirate 3 misses and Pirate 4 uses maneuver to Punch It! and suffers 3 strain! The n continues moving away at high speed with another Maneuver. Now it is the PC ship turns.

It was a good hit on the Tortoise, but it was far from being over for them.

Nudimsu wasn't having anyone pull crap on his pride and joy. Taking aim, he concentrates on the plan and fires directly into the bastard who shot him, getting a solid hit on him.

After doing some basic evasive maneuvers to evade the particular fighter he was engaging with, Fredtrey managed to get his sights back on it, despite his new case of double vision.

The space crafts of varying affiliation band together and easily route and destroy the pirates accosting the merchant ship. The ship reaches out and a female rodian says in Huttese, “I am not sure who you folks are but thank… a thousand times thank you!”

“You don’t hear much about the charity of others in Hutt space!”

OOC: Victory is all but assured at this point! Combat is over. Scrutiny increased by .3 for successful combat.

"It wouldn't do to have pirates causing problems during the peace talks and upsetting our hosts. More important things going on," Zeno says over an open channel for everyone. "I'm reading Turtle and Night Saber. This is Lord Zeno Deathwright on the Umbral Vanguard. Good shooting."

Fredtrey turns towards the senator.

"We have three options here, senator: we could pursue the enemy, but I doubt this is a good idea, they will probably have reinforcement. We could continue our course towards the space port. Finally, we could stay here and escort this ship to safety.
I am sure you have pressing matters to attend to on Nar Shaddaa, I am just suggesting. The civilian vessel looks very badly damaged."

"Gotta keep the Hutts at ease. Better that they know we're going to look out for their interests while we're here."

Of course a Sith wouldn't worry about some innocent civilian lives, its all about some cynical political gain.

“We have power and our engineer thinks they can get the engines on… at least enough to limp into port at Nar Shaddaa. I know this may be asking much but an escort would be appreciated, though we can probably manage.”

"Duga Hal, if you're headed to Nal Hutta we can fly in together, if you're headed for Nar Shaddaa this is where we part. The others may be headed in your direction though."

It was over fairly quickly and they all had managed to get over with everything without too much damage. "This is Captain Nudimsu of the the Tortoise. Glad we made it in time to assist, Guga Hal. I wouldn't suggest pursuit of the pirates. Looks like both of your ships aren't in the best shape to go hunting some pirates home. Let them run with their tail between their legs and escort the ship back home."

He pauses. "Umbral Vanguard, that was a impressive shot with their ace. Glad you managed to take care of it before they really got started with us."

"Deathwright training, Turtle. That pirate got unlucky. Wrong time and place for all of them it would seem."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Nice work you two!"

Adrianaa lets out a victory yelp and beams a smile.

"Let the other ships know we will join in on the escort. Best to ensure the civilians get in safely"

"Duga Hal, if you're headed to Nal Hutta we can fly in together, if you're headed for Nar Shaddaa this is where we part. The others may be headed in your direction though."

"Nar Shadda, we thank you for the aid though," the voice responds.

Fredtrey nods to Senator Morindel.

"Yes, Ma'am"

He calls out on his headset:

"All callsigns, this is Swamp Dog, it is my intention to escort the Duga Hal to Nar Shaddaa. I will assume a position of Vanguard 10km to the front of the ship, match speed with it and scan for any additional hostile contact until relieved by Hutt security forces."

None that he can detect beyond normal space traffic in the system, all tags check out as “legitimate” merchant craft or Hutt controlled transports in their vicinity.

"I'm sure that training gave the pirates reason to second guess their actions during your negations here, Umbral Vanguard. Happy to have your assistance." He pauses and smiles. Getting out of this with a good reputation on all sides isn't a bad way to enter Nar Shaddaa. Plus saving some lives along the way does not hurt.

"Good shooting as well, Night Saber. Looks like you took some heavy hits. If you need further assistance on entry, the Tortoise is here to assist you here as well in your escort. Matching pace with yours and keeping a eye out on the rear."

Over the open channel to all the vessels, "My long range sensors aren't reading any illegitimate traffic in the area with the pirates gone. I expect you'll be fine while they're licking their wounds."

Fredtrey maneuvers the ship according to the plan, then says on the comms:

"All callsigns, Swamp Dog, roger, assuming position. Tortoise, we should be able to land on Nar Shaddaa and assess our damage there, thank you for the offer."
