I Just Have To Know.... (Day 10, EE)

[Galen Sol]

On a whim, Galen had taken a shuttle to the surface and rented a speeder. What he was looking for could be anywhere and he wasn't even certain what that was. The acklay had belonged to someone. Someone who was living in the wilds of Nal Hutta. He wanted to meet them, if only to apologize for harming the acklay.

He had looked over maps of the area, considering the areas best suited for surviving without notice. From there, he was simply following instinct.


Day 10, EE, Survival: 1eA+2eP+2eD 2 successes, 1 Triumph

[Dapper Dog]

He not only finds a trail he finds a whole camp of women... dressed in hard leathers and frontier gear about twenty strong.

[Galen Sol]

He pulled up slowly, watching their reactions as he left the speeder and approached. He had his rifle with him, but made no motion to pick it up or take out any other equipment. His hands were empty and held away from his body. He was not a threat.

"Hello."

[Dapper Dog]

An evocii warrior with a thick muscular build says, "You must be lost, stranger."

[Galen Sol]

"That is entirely possible." he nodded. "But, I'm pretty sure this is what I was looking for. A few days ago, I became aware of people living in this area and I wanted to meet them. I found a trail that led me here."

[Dapper Dog]

"Why have you come? If you bring violence then know we are not without protections," She says sternly.

[Galen Sol]

"I came to apologize." he dipped his head. "I was hunting an acklay. I was unaware that anyone was associated with the ones in this area. If I had, I would not have done my hunting here."

[Dapper Dog]

"She is long gone from here, she nearly killed you and yours," the woman responds. "That is not a creature to be trifled with lightly."

[Galen Sol]

"I understand." he nodded. "And, I am grateful that my companion was spared. What I am curious about is how such a dangerous creature could be tamed. I don't think that's really the right word, but I'm not sure how else to describe it."

He paused for a moment, to gather his thoughts. "Over the length of my life, I've come to respect the natural order of the universe, even though I don't think I could ever truly comprehend it. But, the idea that someone could connect with a primal creature, such as an acklay. I want to know more about that."

[Dapper Dog]

"She's wild," another says. "She respects the wild in us, and we live and let live. She kills as she musts just as we do what we must. The Force is in all things, so even an acklay acts as it natures demands but the Force still flows through it all the same."

[Galen Sol]

"I've always seen the Force as simply being the Force, this ever present aspect of the universe that connects everything." he nodded. "But, now I'm learning how the Jedi see it and how the Sith see it. Now, I have an idea of how you see it."

[Dapper Dog]

"Has that changed your view on it?" she asks curiously.

[Galen Sol]

"Changed? Not really." he shook his head. "Nothing I've been told in the past week has really altered my view of the Force. My perspective has increased in scope, however. I am no longer content with my narrow little view. There's so much for me to learn."

[Dapper Dog]

"Always, that is the greatest truth of the Force," she says kindly. "All the same, our ways are clear and you will have to go, but if you are friend to the downtrodden then you are an ally of the Black Witches. May the Force be with you."

[Galen Sol]

Clear disappointment crossed his features. "Is there no way I could learn more from you?"

[Dapper Dog]

"We train only women," she responds.

[Galen Sol]

"That would make it difficult." he sighed. "I apologize for my intrusion. Thank you, for humoring me."

He turned and walked back to the speeder.
