There was nothing she liked about it, but she would not back away now. She was too determined to succeed, and pain of some kind had ever been her teacher. Rather than close her eyes, she stared in the purple orbs of the serpent's eyes emanating the power of the Dark Side as the tentacles approached....

The tentacle like appendages have barbed suckers on the end that latch onto her and begin siphoning blood... it is not an enjoyable process but it detaches.

Darkness. Pain. Knowledge. You may pass, take nothing but what you bring with you.

She winced at the pain but soon adapted to it. Once it was over, she nodded with understanding and swam toward whatever entrance presented itself.

She finds an entrance at the top of what looks like a massive step pyramid, now the fear was even more severe and the water cold... even with proper survival gear it felt... overwhelming.

She trembled, balled her fists, fought down the haze in her head because of the sudden blood loss.

OOC: First a Perception check to search around this is Average with a setback, plus the setback from Fear. Next an Athletics check to maneuver through the water and then finally a Knowledge Lore check to make sense of what she is looking at.

Since she is down there by herself she has to make the rolls but can get assistance on the Lore check from someone on the surface.

Her connection with the Dark Side growing stronger as she approached the pyramid, the Red Wraith trudged on, imbued with supernatural strength. She managed to get really close to what she was about to try to... crunch.

Facing the ancient puzzle, Moyr illuminated it with the scanner and sent a reading to Hala, the first sign to the ship that she was actually alive. Then typed on the comm. Run it by some databases, show me what you can find. As she waited for feedback, she did the initial assessment herself, recognising that it was in fact a code...

Moyr recalls seeing... and even understanding imperfectly the images but then... she wakes up on the surface looking at the sky. She can't recall what she was doing or even how long it has been though it could not be too long as her allies are still on the beach.

For a moment she felt the presence of Jug'tih... but it was fleeting before she blacked out. Despite the lapse in memory she can recall fleeting images and even finding meaning in them but now it seems like those thoughts were removed.

OOC: Moyr finds the mask does not respond to her will... and that dark pip is not for her to use.

[Watcher 5]

She sees Watcher 5 next to her floating in the water and he says, "Moyr, twi'lek... Sith... pawn, manipulated. Not a pleasant feeling."

"Recount your thoughts. Order them, find the piece that does not fit."

[Moyr Ahaya]

Anger, this is what she felt. She knew her body had been strained and abused, that it had taken up an effort beyond its resilience, that much she felt, and still what it amounted to was... deprivation. She tore the mask off her face and shrieked in fury to the skies.

And then, Watcher-5? The befuddlement shut the raging off for now.

Where am I?

"Anger, natural Sith response. Move past that, identify the pieces," Watcher 5 says.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Another puzzle." She sighed, focusing on what he could be meaning. She began to scan her memories back, looking for gaps. Inventory must come first.

[Watcher 5]

"What is the last thing you recall with clarity? Start with what you know," Watcher 5 responds.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Jug'tih. Her gift... has lost power. That power... was not my own. It came from the essence of Yavin, the Death God. It was being borrowed, a surrogate. And now it's been taken away."

Moyr frowned.

"Have I led her will to this place, and now was torn off the blessings because I had served my purpose?"

[Watcher 5]

"Mask... artifact of the Force, Sith desire power. Interesting," Watcher 5 responds. "Return to your allies. You have the knowledge, it is simply suppressed. You will have to reorder your mind, I can help."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I shall do so." She turned toward Watcher-5 and creaked a broad smile, finally understanding. "Thank you for your guidance. I was missing it."

She began to swim back.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

At the lake's surface, Hala continued to pace. Her tiny blaster was still drawn, but the finger ran the length of the trigger guard and the weapon itself hung stiffly at her right side.
