Now that she knew the location of the target, all that remained was to prosecute their approach....

"I knew this wasn't going to be easy," she said after they'd been wandering for some time, "But id guessed this would be a more productive buse of your time than it has been so far. Did we make a wrong turn somewhere?" She said, checking her map while unzipping the lapel of her uniform to help vent some heat. She pulled out a bottle of water and drunk from it before offering it to her partner.
"Alone with an eligable bachelor for the first time and all I can talk about is work... I really am hopeless. My apologies Mr. Zane," she chuckled, "Would you like some?"

"I believe so, and it's likely my fault." He smirked as he looked around the area. "Spent far too long in cities I think, got a little unused to the out of doors as as it were. He was still garbed in his usual three piece suit, and it looked more then a little uncomfortable, he made no moves to cool himself though.
"No apologies need my dear, and if you're worried about the conversation, I can always endlessly flirt with you." There was a small note of teasing his his tone but it disappeared as he accepted the water. "Thank you." He said with a smile before taking a drink.

"Of course Mr. Zane," she answered politely.
"Well, you did say you take bounties but I may have asked for assistance with something outside your area of expertise. You did say you prefer smaller scale things. In truth, this is more than I usually handle as well, but what with Lord Yulen's murder such things have been given a higher priority.... But if it's flirting you're after won't dear Darwi take it personally? Or have you had a falling out and you're now back on the market?"

He'd over the water back and take a look around their surroundings once again. "Completely understandable, and I'm more then happy to help. I need to get out and about on these bigger jobs for times to time. Else I might get rusting."
"As to Darwi, that's a bit complicated honestly. I believe there is a mutual interest there, but I'm unsure if we will ever really go anywhere. There seems to be some things in our way."

"Her career or celebrity, if I were to hazard a guess?" Hala asked playfully, taking the bottle back with her good arm.

"Neither of those actually." Came his thoughtful reply. "I believe it was a bit to do with her past. There are things she needs, requires might be a better word, and I'm unsure if I am able to provide them."
He smirked. "Are you sure you wish to talk about this Hala? I'm sure there are more interesting topics for you then the relationship troubles of young couples."

"I'm perfectly happy to discuss whatever you like, Zane. That, your life, whatever you wish," she shrugged. She pulled out her datapad, spun around the map a little as if trying to will it to them them more about where their quarry might be hiding, but instead she only grumbled and lowered it again.

"Anything I like?" He smirked softly. "You may want to rephrase that my dear, I might just try and figure out your dress size." He peeked over her shoulder trying to make sense of the map himself, it didn't seem to be making much more sense though.
"I suppose my real question would be your reason for being out here though? Alone with a eligible bachelor as it were. You must make more then enough to live comfortably on what the empire pays you."

"I live comfortably on what the Empire pays because the Empire subsidizes most of my living expenses. The pay is primarily in honor and glory, and I've had my fill of each," she said with a touch of frustration, "Working on the side like this helps establish some measure of a safety net for if I'm ever actually retired.... though it usually gets siphoned off to correct the mess of one Sith lord or another."
"And to answer the coyly unasked, it is a 6 though fitting in the shoulders can sometimes be an issue."

"Not tucking it away for when you meet the right man then?" He teased. "Still i can understand that, security is all well and good, but its much nicer when we can save some for emergencies."
"A six?" He looked her over for a moment. "I'll have to remember that on the off chance we go dancing. Imperial soldiers do go dancing don't they?"

"Indeed they do," she laughed, covering her mouth with her left hand.
"I'm a bit stiff and out of practice, but they certainly do.'

He smiled as she laughed, she could do with doing that more often. "Perhaps we'll have to get together sometime then, work out a bit of that stiffness."
"Dancing is one of my favorite past times after all."

"Not much more to be done, I think, for the stiffness," she said ruefully, "It's certainly nothing 15 years of therapy and PT has helped remove. I keep thinking that maybe I'll put in for a prosthetic but something about it always seems to hold me back.... if that makes any sense?"

"I think I can understand that. Makes you feel less like you perhaps?" He paused thoughtfully. "I might get one myself, if I ever really had to."
"But I hope it never comes to that."

"Partly that, partly the worry about ion blasts or random electrical discharges. Half an arm is better than none at all, almost all the time," she laughed.

"There is that." He replied with a rueful laugh. "Not to mention learning to use it. I hear it's rather easy, but I don't know. I play music for at least part of my living. How well will it work for that?"

"Maybe you could get one of the fancy ones that split up into 10 half fingers instead of the normal five and spawn your own brand of music?" she suggested playfully.
"But it is easy, so they say. It had better be, and I'd want feeling in mine too. I don't think that's always present though."

He looked at his fingers of his right hand flexing them a few times. "That'd only be mildly horrifying." He replied dryly. "Could be interesting though... for several reasons." He finished with a smirk.
"I'd need to have feeling, couldn't really play without it. It's just not the same."
