The ship landed in some distance from the target location. Despite the heat, the Wraith hopped off the ram fully cloaked and hooded, having a proper environmental suit beneath, and waited for the others to join her.

Jo'ren had taken his stims and was ready for whatever the planet had to throw at them. Or so he always thought. Moyr's call had been sort of excited even though he didn't know exactly when it would be. His own cloak and hood were up so as to make the right impression.

"Hey. Not sure if you knew but Zeno has been down here already talking with Nem'ro. Maybe be nothing, but probably Zash. I didn't find anything about a Sith temple here, but I guess you guys did?"

Hala followed along compliantly in standard fatigues. There was no one that needed talking to, so she continued perusing through her newest self assigned reading as she had on the way down until it seemed as though she was needed.

"Glad you came, Jo'ren. I know he was here, and I know what he talked about with Nem'ro. He's basically hunting an Evocii rebel leader by the moniker Heart-Eater for the concerned Hutt. He's otherwise busy with other matter and there's a likelihood he won't be a concern."

She pulled the hood more on to fend off the toxic rain. "We're to meet Givaga the Hutt. He has a slave we want to talk to, an Evocii scholar. The reason we're going to give his master is that we need to consult on the ritualistic murder of Lord Yukan, True Sith duellist. Colonel Moraal and I have been on the case since I discovered the body in Shadow Town last night. Hutt Security stepped away upon being 'convinced' it is an internal security matter of the Sith. We want to continue this story here and thus will insist on private conversation with the slave. Officially, we want to check if the murder could have something to do with religious beliefs of restive Evocii."

She looked him up an down with a smirk under the mask. Some of the teasing grin spilled into the impressed amusement in her voice. "You are perfect for the role of concerned cousin of Lord Yukan."

She looked at Hala.

"Ready?"

Jo'ren raised an eyebrow. "Shit, if True Sith Duelists are getting murdered you can colour me concerned. Okay, thanks for the heads up, I hadn't heard about this."

He nodded, waved to Hala, and prepared to follow Moyr's lead.

"Always, my lord," she said, bookmarking and putting away her current essay on Evocii biology and psychology.

"Then let's take the walk." The Imperial team eventually approached the abode of Givaga the Hutt...

The massive palace is on a plateau that overlooks the swamp, it is well armored and has a variety of guards on patrol. There is an elevator system at the bottom of the plateau along with a shanty town of traders built into the remnants o a crashed ship.

The trio approach in the darkness and rain.

"We arrive in semi-official capacity, so let's go straight to the elevator. Hala, please do the introductions." Moyr whispered right before they entered the shanty town. She tapped the mask to remind the officer of her guise. "By the way, do you how is our Hutt up there disposed toward other ones out there?"

Jo'ren simply remained stoic. Being impressively large it wasn't difficult. He let the others take the lead and kept an eye on the guards.

Hala related what she was familiar with of Givaga's dealings.

What are Givaga's affiliations? Streetwise: 3eA 1 successes

As they went, Hala walked at the fore in a clear effort to use her more official presentation as the velvet glove surrounding the iron fist that flanked her in her wake. Unless they were stopped, she proceeded at an unhurried pace to the elevator and signaled the operator at the top.

"Colonel Moraal, the Red Wraith, and Lord Jo'ren to see Givaga the Hutt on matters of business. If it pleases Givaga, then we would be grateful for an audience to pay our respects and the time to begin a mutually beneficial relationship."

That should work. In a way, she was grateful the Nikto trail hit a semi-dead end. It made crafting alternative facts easier. She silently waited for them to be let up.

The guards look at each other and then shrug an allow the trio to take the lift up to the palace. They seemed important enough and if not, it wasn't there turn to clean out the pits anyways. Not that they said that.

As they were lifted up, Moyr turned to Hala.

"So, what do you know about Givaga?"

"Givaga is a bit of a loner among the Hutts... in general too. She tends to avoid the normal politicking and rivalries, and to that end is usually liked enough to be left alone. Her Majordomo's name is Jeeg. He's a Nikto and is quite comfortable being assertive. He handles most of her affairs and frequently takes audiences in her stead. So long as we avoid insulting or otherwise provoking them, we should be able to have a productive interview," Hala explained in a polite voice, glancing around the lift with casual disinterest.

"Then I'll let you do the small talk and chime in when it matters. Our goal is to secure a meeting the scholar, unmonitored. We want to talk about the old religious sects of Evocii that could have re-emerged among the general restiveness."

The lift is not terribly fast, but steady, probably be about five to ten minutes before you reach the top. It is creaks like something horrible and the cables look a little worn but you are sure it is serviceable.

"Quite the view from up here. Pollution. Industrial zones. Etc." He shrugged and kept an eye on the cables just in case a quick exit was required.

"It sounds like you have things well in hand. Nice bit of digging there Hala."

"Thank you my lord," she said, nodding to the Sith politely while her gaze settled on the exposed cabling. She silently tried willing it to last for at least two more trips and settled in to wait for the lift to open at the top.

Moyr moved closer to the cables, just in case there was a need to catch them suddenly.

The lift reaches the top and the door is opened to a lush plateau manned by an army of slaves to tend the grounds. There is a roar from some creature as workers move large cages of exotic beasts down into the pens owned by the Hutt.

A trio of Mandalorians form an honor guard for a nikto in fine suit of royal purple and black with a rather dashing hat to match. Jeeg says in Basic, “My honored Master did not say she was having guests, so I am inclined to think you are not here for some other reason, Imperials.”

Moyr let Hala speak first, but tried to discern the Clan of the Mandalorians. That could possibly tell her of the Hutt's political sympathies.

The colonel kept Jeeg's chosen tongue and her face shifted into a pleasant smile. She shook her head gently and in a conciliatory tone she replied, "This was not something I had scheduled. Much as I would like to visit each of the Hutts and make my respects to them, I arrived earlier this morning and the matter between the Republic and the Empire consumed it utterly. I came upon time before the next session and so I am here. The fact your honored Master did not inform you she was planning on receiving me does not undermine my interest in seeing her, majordomo, does it not?"

They were with Clan Bralor, by the markings.

Jeeg gestures to the Mandalorians and said, “You will have to check your weapons. We like to keep things very civil here, you understand. Her honored Huttness values peace and quiet.”

The Mandalorians say, “Remove your weapons.”

"Gedet'ye." The Sith woman handed over the blaster and the knife. "You missed the party yesterday, right?"
