Moyr directed the Bitch to the surface, piercing the yellow toxic clouds. She opened the comm in the cockpit.

"This is your captain speaking. Arrival on the surface in five minutes. The weather is shitty, hot and bad, but it isn't raining, so yay. If someone wants to take a leak before we plunge in, the time is now. Just don't trample each other on the way to the refresher."

Jo'ren looked at the others with a slightly skeptical expression. "I still can't believe you've managed to find some secret force-plant-thing in a fucking Acklay nest? Tell me you brought bioscanners and heavy explosives."

In his new armour, suspiciously familiar to anyone who had fought against Lord Nemerosch's forces, he looked even more imposing.

"I didn't have access to explosives heavy enough to take on that, Jo'ren. It's sabres or nothing, that's a tough-shelled sonuvabitch. I hurt it bad last time, though who knows how this thing regenerates." Moyr scoffed. "Thanks, Baes. Please remind us what you learned about these things."

Craw was in his seat, his tone was annoyed as he spoke. "The goddamn bug is begging for some serious ass kicking that's all I've got sa about it."

"Heh, good to see you Craw. Let's get you some revenge." He smiled fiercely and looked across at Baesal. "You got some special Jedi knowledge to share about this bug?"

"Baes, are you there?" Moyr gave Gunnie the controls as she moved to gear up for deployment.

Jo'ren's comm beeped at him and he looked at it. It was Rem and what looked like the rest of his Huttball team. Sighing audibly he dialed in a message while there was still time before the op.

"Yeah, yeah" replied the Jedi comming back into the common room pushing a very large bag on a hovering platform.

"Basic info is: its strong, fast, deadly and has nous real weaknesses. Its not native to Nal Hutta and was certainly brought here for one reason...either a zoo or as an executionner."

She taps the bag and a squish was heard

"But its dumb...so our only advantage over it would be through a well placed bait"

"I think it was put there as a guardian."

She kept her comm on as she was changing clothes.

"Craw, you volunteer." Moyr smirked, putting her wetlands gear on. "Should we sprinkle him with something special, Baes, to smell nicer for this acklay?" She laughed shortly. "In all seriousness, that should be the plan. I don't think you can really hurt it with your weapons, Craw. It was stupid even before I hurt its brain, so you have a fair chance to fool the beast, and keep it exposed above water. Our sabres will handle the damage output. We've been there, we roughly know the terrain and the damn tactics of this thing. Jo'ren, Baes, we'll try to take advantageous positions in hiding before it arrives. I should be able to help you with that. How does that sound to you, team?"

"Bug bait!" He looked at Craw and gave him an amused grin. "That's a great idea. See if it'll distract the thing long enough to get in and out again."

He considered Moyr's suggestion. "That sounds like a plan. I should be able to sense it's approach at least. If we can pick the terrain then we stand a better chance. Fighting in a swamp sounds like a pain in the ass."

"Huh..." She pointed to the bag

"I did not drag an inordinate amount of meat of suspect quality and origin to have Craw steal its GLORIOUS role as a bait"

"Well, if you've brought snacks, I suppose it relegates you to a secondary bait, Craw. Such ignominy." She teased a little bit more, zipping up. "I'll be sensing out too, Jo'ren." She added cockpit to their conversation. "Ok, Gunnie, bring us down." The ship accelerated its descent.

Craw was silent as he listened to his comrades go on. When they finished, he leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest. One could feel the glare behind his helmet. He grunted. "Goddamn bugs."

"Pretty much yeah, Craw." Moyr buckled up in the cockpit for the landing. "How fast this shit regenerates, Baes? Will we be facing it in prime shape, or wounded?"

"It lives on the polluted swamps of Nal Hutta...I have no idea if it makes him more resilient or poisons him over time"

She began dressing up as well

"Your guess is as good as mine"

"Let's not be optimistic then..."

They began to land.

OOC: so what is the plan trick the creature with bait?

[Approach carefully with Sense on, hide in the theatre, bait it with meat, second-bait it with Craw if needed or during the fight, keep it above water via baiting and preferably pull the battle into a dried ground. Essentially to assault it from ambush three lightsabers strong.]

OOC: With a Deception or Survival check versus Hard with a setback you could avoid the beast altogether with the bait.

Once they deployed, they moved through the same obnoxious but at least familiar terrain. Moyr led them quietly forth. Once they approached acklay's territory, she ushered Baes to join her at the front, then pointed to where she wanted to install the bait. They wouldn't descend to do it to risk exposure, the rope was good enough. They would scale down the cliff with the other rope in a different place.

"Alright, good idea Baesal. Let's find that plant." He would have liked to test himself but right now there was no need. Still, there might be other dangers.

"That way" She pointed towards the direction of the plant

"Be careful though...the acklay might not be the only danger we could face"

Craw was silent as they climbed, once they made it he sighed and in a disappointed tone said. "Damn, I wanted to give that bug some payback."
