"Maybe." She gave him a weak smile. "I imagine I'd be busy winning the Republic's war for them though."

Vera nodded and abruptly got to her feet. "Yeah. Just a goodbye, Zanebry." She glanced around the rest of his ship, particularly the corridors, and then looked back to the ex-SIS agent. "Ret'urcye mhi." She then started walking back to the entrance.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He didn't let her go though rising to his feet and grabbing her hand, she was likely stronger then him, but still he tried to pull her in close, facing him. "You can't fool me that easily Vera Ordo." He'd murmur before dipping in for a kiss. He was probably about to be slapped. Or stabbed.

[Nekoinu]

Vera instinctively shifted her weight and knocked Zanebry back onto the couch. She blinked and looked away with her cheeks a brighter pink than ever. "You have company, don't you? Not that I wanted that, anyways."

He grunted as he was forcefully returned tot the couch. That hurt, still he cracked a smile. "She'd understand Vera." He offered softly, though even he wasn't sure if she would. Slowly he made his way back to his feet. "I just wanted you to know, if there was anything you wanted from me before you go. It's yours for the asking."

[Nekoinu]

She curled up her fists. "Ne shab'rud'ni," she muttered. The Mandalorian glowered at him for a few moments before finally planting a kiss on his cheek. "Just remember me, alright?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Always Darlin' " He replied softly. "And if you ever get tired of all that war mongering, I'll be here waiting."

Offering her a smile he walked towards his bar. "Before you leave though, can I buy you one last drink?"

[Nekoinu]

Vera smirked and shook her head. "Let's save it until afterward. Hey, maybe I'll let you give me that dance."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"i think I might hold you to that Vera." He replied pouring himself a glass of whiskey. "I'll even buy you a dress for the occasion." There was a bit of teasing in the last part as he turned around, and raised his glass. "To you Vera, may your courage and kindness serve you true, as you have more of both then most can dream of." With that he took a sip.

[Nekoinu]

Vera put her hands into her jacket and blushed. "Thanks, Zanebry. But, um, I best not keep my brothers and sisters waiting."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I know." He offered her a smile. "Maybe we'll see each other again Vera." It wasn't in Mandoa, but as he wasn't a Mandolorian it didn't seem right to say it in their language. Though there was also the fact that he'd probably butcher the pronunciation.

[Nekoinu]

The Mandalorian woman gave him one more shy smile and started walking towards the entrance. "Try not to get yourself killed sooner than me, alright? I'm the one joining a losing war."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He smirked slightly. "I think I've got a few more lives left Vera, so I'll be fine. If you ever need anything though give me a call. I'll be around."

"And take care of yourself, I want to see you in that red dress someday."

[Nekoinu]

Vera sighed and tossed him a datachip. "Follow those instructions in exactly a week. Then we'll be able to set up a more secure line of communication."

Her cheeks turned the same color as the aforementioned dress. "Sure, but only in private. And only once."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He caught it, and palmed it, slipping it in his back pocket with casual move. "No problem Darlin' "

"I'll look forward to it Vera." He took another sip from his glass and offered her a departing smile. "Now you should be going, or I might be fool enough to try and kiss you again."

[Nekoinu]

"We wouldn't be wanting that," she replied with a faint smile. She stepped up to the ship's exit and waited for him to open it. "Next time you see me, it might be in the form of a grand statue. I still haven't decided on the pose I want to make for it yet."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"It could always be blowing a kiss." He suggested teasingly as he opened the door. "Really though I'm sure you'll think of something." He offered her another smile. "Be safe out there."

[Nekoinu]

"You too, Zanebry," she said, with more meaning than she could have known. Before she completely stepped out, she looked at him with a solemn smile. "And thanks. You made me... happy." A pause. "But I hope next time I see you that you'll find have found someone good for you." She let out a small laugh. "If you just hold out for me, then that'd be pretty sad, don't you think?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He watched her as she stepped out his own expression a bit bittersweet, rough as she was he did care for her after all. "Honestly? I don't think that would be too bad Vera, your a good woman and a man could do far worse." He smiled softly. "We'll see though, I think I'll need a bit of time before I can manage anything serious, and most of the good one's don't stick around to long."

[Nekoinu]

"Well, we'll see then. Maybe some other 'dashing rogue' or some crap will sweep me off my feet." Vera leaned to give him one more kiss, this time on the other cheek, and then stepped outside. She glanced back him over her shoulder and then continued on her way.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"He won't be as dashing as me." He called after her, his tone slightly teasing as he watched her walk away. He'd linger at the door for a moment before closing the door and walking inside.

Naveera was waiting, and he likely had some explaining to do.

[Nekoinu]

At the very least, Naveera was back to being soundly asleep on the bed. She was not wrong on getting more shut eye.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He watched her a while, a slight smile on his face, wondering to himself about why he couldn't bring himself to love her more then the others. Shaking his head, he slipped back into bed, explanations could wait and maybe he wouldn't dream this time.

[Nekoinu]

The twi'lek snugged up to him after he had gotten into bed. "Everything alright?" she murmured, half-asleep.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Yes and No." He murmured softly. "It was Vera Ordo, coming to say goodbye to me." He let that sink in for a moment. "She's going off to war, and wanted to stop by and tell the man she liked that she was leaving. it was her misfortune that the man she likes is me."

He sighed softly. "She didn't want to talk, not with you here, but I forced the matter. Wasn't going to let her leave in her state of mind. So I forced matters, she ended up decking me pretty good, but we could finally talk a bit after that."

"She's scared, though she won't admit it, so I let her know that there was a man here that would think of her, remember her, even be waiting on her return. It's what she wanted, what she needed, and honestly I will miss her."

He sighed. "I'm a bastard aren't I."
