Trio Tête-à-tête (D6, MM)

[Kristal Serasai]

"I had not thought of it in such a way," she said on that note. Just as she lead them into her quarters. "However, I would suppose that it quite likely does allow for the opportunity to get some proper outfitting done around here."

Once inside there was only really the one chair and the bed, out of which Kristal took the chair. Usually finding herself in the chair anytime she was in this room it felt only the most natural.

"At least Vowrawn has a proven track record of sparing no expense," she added as she slipped down comfortably into the seat.

Slyvain smiled and nodded at Kris' comments as he took a seat on the bed next to Shaisha.

Shaisha shrugged casually, finding a spot near the wall to lean against. "True, my master isn't as penny-pinching as some others... but a lot of it has to do with him knowing the benefit of having a safe place away from the Imperial compound. It makes it easier to feel safe from not being bugged, or meeting with non-Imperials in a safe locale. That it has a giant pool and rich interior is a nice bonus too."

And stars knew she needed to keep a lot of stuff away from other Imperials.

She looked to Syl. "... You go first? We should probably go over this Magpie-thing and see where we're standing on that."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Me?" He smiled. "Very well... I spoke with a member of the Jedi order yesterday, one Yslane Tssilla. While she did not divulge the details it is apparent that she has knowledge of the Magpie and her plot..."

Sylvain paused, "This is obviously concerning, because it means that more than a mere distraction to allow for a successful attempt on Baras' life, the Magpie is colluding with enemies of the Empire to try and kill the acting Minister of War..."

He tilted his head, "While I was committed to helping my mother the last time we spoke of her... the more I learn of her plans, the more I am reluctant to believe that this is truly our best shot. I plan on meeting with her as soon as I can and trying to ascertain exactly what it is she possesses that makes Baras' desperate enough that he is willing to sacrifice a great deal of progress with his networks in order to regain what she has taken."

"Getting whatever your mother has taken from Darth Baras appears to me to be our best chance," Kris offers as a quick note.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Attempting to do so will undoubtedly put me at odds with my mother... but traitors against the Empire, whether they be kin or not cannot be allowed to set back the efforts of so many who have come before. I have attempted to contact Baras through every means available to me, and have set my men to the task of finding Layne Hoshin to try and reach out as well. As much as I don't like it... I am preparing to show my devotion for Baras and the Empire by assisting him deal with this issue with as few complications as are possible so as not to jeopardize the Empire's interests.... or these peace talks."

He tilted his head, "If my mother can somehow be saved from destruction as well... that would be preferable... but I currently do not foresee a course where that is likely, or even possible."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha bit on her lower lip, holding back the obvious statement that there would be no other option but death for Raven for what she was doing.

"... One of the questions too is why Baras would stage his own death. It can't be to draw Magpie out, she's not stupid enough to fall for it," she shook her head. "Vengean might know more though, being Baras' master, so you might want to touch base with Jo'ren on that... seeing as how you're officially under Vengean's wing for the moment. Unless he throws you out to the wolves."

She crossed her arms across her chest. "And how do we know Magpie isn't playing right into Baras' hands? He could have been feeding her false information."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I attempted to speak with Vengean personally but was met with with Queen of the Massassi in his stead. I will continue to inquire in what ways I can." He paused.

"I too do not believe Baras will not be ready for whatever it is that mother has planned... I need to ascertain mother's plans so we can best prevent harm from coming to the Empire and see exactly how dangerous she is."

Should've killed her while I had the chance... damnit, if only I had known then.

"The Massassi Queen...?" it sidetracked her mind for a brief moment, thinking of the Queen in her vision. "Right. If you need to track down your mother, we do have some info on places she might possibly be, if we want to follow the trail of Ignition inc." Shaisha looked at Kristal, who hadn't gotten that particular info before. "Raven have at least three apartements owned by a shell company called Ignition Inc., indirectly owned by her thanks to a dead Muun's assistance in mucking up the trail."

"It might be something to consider for when you guys get back from Hutta?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Most certainly. I should be available in the evening if you require help."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I have a meeting I must see to in the evening, but I'll let you know when that's done." She looked to Kris to gauge her impression of the suggestion.

[Kristal Serasai]

"I could have Bur, a man in my employ, find out what he might about each of these buildings," Kris offers, looking to Shaisha. Bridging over her concern of the Massassi Queen. Now that she knew who Magara Sha was, and that she was still alive. Kristal would be ready the next time she met that particular devil but now wasn't the time for it.

"Otherwise, if we wish this to remain between us. We might search each location individually. See what we find from the direct approach?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"That sounds like it could be a plan... as long as we keep it to reconnaissance. Syl should be the one to approach her. I might be able to approach her without garnering too much suspicion, but you can't, Kris."

Shaisha popped her neck slightly, starting to feel the stress building up already.

[Kristal Serasai]

"Raven Torsin has no reason to suspect I know anything, does she?" she asked, raising her signature brow.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He shook his head, "In fact I believe the two of you are safe. I have discussed both of you and my intentions to one day marry Kristal. While she is not supportive in principle, and cannot be trusted to keep her promise that she will do you no harm, she is seeking my devotion and knows that any action that would result in Kristal's death would turn my heart against her and jeopardize her plans."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"To be honest, Syl, I don't think she cares too much about that," Shaisha shrugged. "But if you say so..."

She did wonder what exactly they had discussed about both of them.

"Syl already has the info I got from my people on Magpie, so you two can go over that on Hutta."

[Kristal Serasai]

"Then later we keep it to ourselves, one to each of the three locations?" she asks, wishing to clarify that point.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Sounds like a plan... we can stay in touch on the comms with eachother," Shaisha suggested.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded in agreement.

Then pausing for a moment, he turned to Shaisha, "You said you also have news?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Not news as such..." she didn't seem overly eager for this part. "My vision of the future is becoming more... clear, in a way. Learning to separate the nightmares from the real visions, so to speak." Her arms tighten slightly across her torso.

"Meditating on the future yesterday, I saw a table with pazzac cards or some kind of game of chance with cards. I flipped a card and saw a Monarch, the card dark and hard to read. Flipping another card; a Shining Knight on one half and a Dark Warrior on the lower half. Another card and there is nothing but Black, the void. Another card and there is a Queen dripping with blood. One hand holds a knife and another a heart. The Knight flips to the Warrior as it absorbs the Monarch. The card changes into Death and moves towrd the Queen as the Void grows larger consuming all."

Shaisha drew a deep breath. "And that is where it ended. I spoke to my father afterwards..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain looked to Kristal after the vision was described and then back to Shaisha, "I am not sure of the meaning of the symbols you describe... did your father provide further insight?"

[Kristal Serasai]

Kristal was equally perplexed by the vision. However, instead she tried to think through some possibilities on her own, though nothing was coming up significantly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"The future is always in motion, and it could pertain to the more pressing events of what is happening now, rather than the danger of the Emperor's plans," Shaisha attempted to clarify. Visions were a tricky thing, even if she was getting better at it.

But she had to give a shake of her head. "No... he didn't really. But I was able to talk with him about some other things, like if he too knows about the Emperor's plans and... what He had done to me. I feel it safe to say that it's not going to be a happy family reunion next time he and I cross paths. Not that I expected it to, but..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "So he was not supportive... that is a shame, but not entirely unexpected."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"He is aware of the Emperor's plans, but he is content to wait and bide his time..." she frowned, "and he took the time to remind me that it would probably only be a manner of time before some of the Emperor's pawns try to snare me in again, seeing as I've broken free of His control."
