"But you're not making the mistakes" Aphr said with a chuckle "why would I be concerned about you?"

And as she says that, she missteps, distracted again.

"Because I'm the lead in this dance, and I won't lead you astray." He smiled slightly "You need not apologize every time Aphr." He offered gently.

"Perhaps I should be more clear though, you need to feel me Aphr, the way I move. The bits of information my body transmits to you. How do you think I knew you were slouching? I certainly couldn't see it."

"Need to feel you" Aphr repeated to herself with a nod. She didn't entirely understand, but she trusted Zane to guide her where they needed to be. So she relaxed, and allowed him to guide her steps.

"There you go." He offered her a smile. "Can you feel it better now? The slight shift in the muscles in my shoulder? The tiny pressure I might put on your waist? Our bodies are delivering all kinds of small messages to each other, that's what your looking to find."

"Most dancing is." He smirked. "Though some more so then others, this is rather chaste compared to some of the other types of dancing I know."

"Are you feeling more comfortable though? Want to move on to dress rehearsal?"

"No time like the present" Aphr said with a nod and a smile "I think I'm comfortable enough, and you can always buy me another dress if it goes wrong, right?" she winked as she let go to collect her dress, walking more confidently if still quite carefully.

"Where should I go change?"

"Just one more dress if it goes wrong?" He asked teasingly, as he watched her walk away. "You can use the second door on the left. the one just past mine." He offered after she asked her next question.

As she walked down the hall he went to retrieve a small package. Before moving to pour himself a drink.

"We'll see" Aphr laughed as she entered the room. She didn't take too long to change, but she did pause for a short while afterwards to ensure she looked...acceptable. Which she wasn't sure she could be.

I look so different in this...

She took a calming breath, and walked out in the dress and the heels. Smiling softly as she looked at Zane.

"Well?" she asked.

"You look beautiful Aphr." He replied as he took the small package in his hand. "Or perhaps enticing would be a better word?" His tone lacked the usual teasing shed probably come to expect.

"It is missing one thing though." Finally closing the distance between them he offered her the package. "This is for you." Inside was a rather lovely necklace the stones a color that he thought might go well with her skin tone and dress.

Aphr barely had a moment to consider the changed tone before she was presented with the beautiful necklace. Her eyes widened.

"Oh Zane..." she was speechless for a few moments "for me? Why? You've already spoilt me plenty."

"There is no such thing as being spoilt plenty." Zane said with a soft smile. "Especially as far as you're concerned."

"As to the why though? Because you needed an accesory, and deserve one. Its as simple as that."

He looked down into her eyes. "Now turn around, I'll put it on for you."

She did as told, turning and allowing Zane to put the necklace on. "I don't know what to say...thank you" she said quietly, trying not to smile too much and failing. He was really sweet!

It was a delicate process, putting a necklace on a twi'lek with out touching her lekku, but he managed. "You don't need to say anything Aphr. Still you're welcome."

He guided her to turn around, so he could look at her all dressed up. "Perfect." He said with a small smile. "No more little girl left, you're all woman now."

Aphr blushed a little, looking down at the ground. "I don't think anyone else but you can see that. But..." she finally looked up at him, her soft smile returned "thank you. Now, shall we dance?"

"I was joining the military are you age, being sent off to fight a war. Perhaps it's a bit easier for me."

At her question, he let one hand slide to her waist, as the other went to hers. "Of course." He replied simply as they started to dance, a little closer to one another then they were before.

Aphr went silent as they started to dance once more, not wanting to comment on the idea of going to war at 16. Although she had been a slave since 11, so she wasn't sure if it was easier or worse for him. Plus she had to concentrate on remembering the dance steps in a very different feeling dress, but her eyes drifted up to look at his as she found her rhythm, and she started to smile.

"This isn't so bad to dance in" she commented after a short while of not messing up.

"I'm glad you like it, though if the dance were a bit more vigorous you might need something with a slit." She was getting a bit more used to things so bed started to incorporate a bit more to the dance, simple spins at first, maybe the occasional dip.

She nearly stumbled on the first spin, not expecting it, however she was prepared for the next ones and adapted quickly enough. "There are faster dances? And people still dance in these..shoes?" Aphr shook her head "why?"

"Much faster." He replied with a slight chuckle. He had stepped in to help steady her when she almost stumbled, and kept a more careful eye of her after that. "And yes, even taller heels then that honestly. As to the why? Appearances mostly, it's also a way to show off a pair's skill on the floor, and a more even height can make things a but easier as well."
