Trio Tête-à-tête (D6, MM)

[Kristal Serasai]

"Will you need protection?" she asked calmly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Shouldn't be anything I can't handle," she gave Kristal a reassuring smile. "But thanks... really."

"Unless if it's my father coming after me, then I'd want the both of you to stay clear away. He would not hesitate to hurt either of you."

[Kristal Serasai]

"And I would not hesitate to harm him if he came near you with such an intent," she replied confidently.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"You wouldn't see either of us head for the hills my dear sister." He said with a smirk.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha wasn't sure if she should be upset, grateful, laughing, or crying.

"Damnit you two... " she looked down at the floor. "I don't want either of you to get hurt or die because of me. Given all that I've done... all the secrets I've kept."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"You're stuck with us... well you two are stuck with me. Anyone would want Kris there looking after them." He chuckled.

"But either way, we're not going anywhere. No matter what, or how many secrets there are... there's always more behind that inside of us than there is in those outer actions." He put his hand on her shoulder and squeezed it tightly once.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"It's just... if he did come after me, I don't think I could..." Shaisha swallowed the dry lump in her throat.

"He's still my father... I don't know what the Emperor has done to him, or if it's something I can fix, but... he's the only one I have left of the family I had before I met you."

[Kristal Serasai]

"If it is him or you, we are going to choose you Shaisha," she said frankly. "Whatever your choice is when it comes to it, if it comes to it, is yours."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain just nods his head. If anyone knew the difficulty of the decision to potentially kill one's parent it was him at this moment... but it was not the time to make that comment.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

The look Shaisha gave Sylvain showed that she understood the situation he too was in. Not that theirs were completely the same, but in the end, it came down to the death of what was left of their respective families.

"... Man," she forced a chuckle, as if it was the only way she could continue on right now, "we're all pretty messed up..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "Reinforced cortosis is put through the hottest fires, folded over itself, the imperfections are pounded out violently... and then they repeat that process hundreds of times until the material left is of the highest quality."

He looked to Kristal and then Shaisha, "We're in the refining process right now... but we're each of the highest quality ore. We won't break, and one day once we are strong enough... we'll make sure that these wrongs are righted."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Right," she nodded.

"We'll get through this somehow... all of us." Shaisha didn't exactly have Sylvain's eloquence, but the sentiment was the same.
