Delay of Game [Day 6, Early Morning, Vindicator]

Aboard her ship, where she best felt she was able to escape to alone, Kristal sat in the captain's quarters at her desk. Having gone through the procedure of having her mother contact her, Kristal passed the time by connecting the Republic droid's memory core into the computer in an attempt to get the information she required. Having little to no knowledge herself she figured it was harmless to attempt to poke around in it for a few moments of time.

Weaver says over the comm, "You have an incoming message, my lord fromTuk'ata."

With a button pressed she responded, "Patch it through to my quarters, Weaver."

It appeared she wasn't as alone on her ship as she had thought.

Weaver was a consummate soldier and also a home body, she should probably get out more, oh well.

Her mother appears and says, “Finish your business, already?”

"The Empire is one true traitor less," she said, looking up to the image of her mother.

"Is there somewhere we could meet? I am aboard my ship at the Mezenti Spaceport."

“I can come to your ship if you like,” her mother retorts.

“If you feel it secure.”

"I trust those aboard," Kristal replies. Some inner part of her was excited to see her mother. It was hard to ignore but easy to keep down, hidden from view.

Not long, perhaps fifteen minutes her mother now stood aboard her ship and says about Kristal's ship, "Serviceable, how do you like it?"

"Serviceable," she replied immediately. Elaborating a tad, "It could use a mechanic and a proper budget, however it saves me from a great many headaches when I need to be somewhere."

"Darth Marr keeps you plenty busy then?" she responds looking around. "That's... good, I suppose."

"Protecting the Empire I still believe in," she says in response. However she didn't want to dwell on that topic long.

"There are plenty of things we need to discuss, Mother. First... I would like to get an idea of how my Mother is doing. What has changed since I last saw you, before Korriban. We have not had the time to talk before."

She takes a seat and says, "Well your father died... our house was purged and the life I knew was destroyed. Then the bitch that spawned Sylvain tried to kill me and I had to go into hiding. I kicked around the Outer Rim hitting safe houses, I had secured away several supplies and resources so I live... comfortably on the margins."

"It reminds me of my days in Black Ops. just with even less oversight."

"What of your companion, the Wookie? How do they play into all of this?" she asked, finding her own place to stand comfortably without another chair easily nearby.

"An old friend that needed work, discrete and does not ask questions," she says in response.

"Understood," she said, happy enough with that answer.

"I would suppose that brings us to current," she said, changing the time frame, "how is the recovery of the Zabrak going? Anything that can be done to pull him out of it any sooner to be able to make use of his information?"

"I think we will need to find another doctor, as there is no change in his condition. Perhaps the operation was detrimental to his recovery. Know anyone, competent?" she asks.

"Lord Haydriss approached me with an offer of medical services in exchange for not killing her younger brother, but I would not trust her even long enough to even begin to consider it an option. Beyond her, there is Weaver a member of my crew and aboard this ship. Although I have trusted her on many occasions with my own health, I believe an operation of that nature is likely beyond her confidence ," she replies.

"I will keep looking then," Her mother says. "How is Shaisha?"

"Shaisha is well, she is on the planet as well and doing.. well, under Darth Vowrawn," she replied, not really sure what to say Shaisha had been doing for her Darth. Either having forgotten or just never been told precisely what it was Shaisha did nowadays on her own.

"I see."

Her mother is quiet then. She finally says, "I am not sure what else there is to say."

"I believe the man behind everything, Father's death, Aramis' death, to be Darth Baras but I cannot be sure. It seems logical given all of the connections and how Raven Torsin is an agent of his but there is not solid proof, just a gut feeling. Not only is the man powerful and likely still alive, the Empire... and we need him alive. For now."

"Darth Baras?" she says and scowls.

"Bloody Sith games... it's always bloody Sith games. I could try killing him for real if you don't think he is actually dead."

"No, that wouldn't help us. Like before, we need to do this the right way. I see.." she pauses, feeling silly for revealing the idealism that was present. "I see a chance for us to help turn the Empire away from this games that some Sith play for petty gains in power. A chance to help guide the Empire in a new, better direction."

"Darth Marr has tasked me with keeping Darth Baras alive, because it is what the Empire needs today. However, when the time comes for Baras to answer for his crimes he has given me freedom to right the wrongs done to our family. To verify the truth before Baras is brought before the Empire to pay for his crimes."
