Fastest hunk of junk in the Empire (D6, MM, Terror Star)

[Jo'ren Rath]

After a delightful morning with Shaisha be returned to the Terror Star. There was a Lightsaber to fix, a mission to plot, and a hyperdrive to be installed. He was sure that 2V would be better himself with worry knowing the droid.

The holo-posters highlighted the route to Revan's Secret, and after committing it to memory he started to try to repair his Lightsaber. It was going to take a while.

[Nekoinu]

A Trandoshan arrived at the Terror Star and knocked on the door. He used a voice modulator for Basic, which announced, "Hello! Are you Jo'ren Rath?"

[Jo'ren Rath]

That brought him away from his failed attempt at fixing. Hitting the Comms he replied.

"Sure am. Who's asking?"

[Nekoinu]

"Evangeline Ulter said that you were hoping for some ship upgrades," the robotic voice stated.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"You'd better come on in then." He walked through to the entrance corridor and punched up the viewscreen. Just the Trandoshan and his kit.

Jo'ren hit the unlock code and gave the alien a nod. "Welcome on board." His engineering droid walked over as well. "This is T0-1L. He he a better idea of the ship's systems than I do."

[Nekoinu]

The Trandoshan nodded and poked his voice system again. "What service were you looking for? I will retrieve the parts from my speeder once I know."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Hyperdrive refit. I don't like waiting around when there's so much to be done. Fast as you can make her." For an all action Sith the idea of tapping his feet in hyperspace was anger inducing.

[Nekoinu]

"Ah. A very respectable choice. I will return shortly." The mechanic hustled back and, after several minutes, returned back with his crew of pit droids and a hoverlift carrying a multitude of parts.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Alright, looks good." He opened the cargo ramp so that the pit droid crew could gain access with the parts.

[Nekoinu]

While working on the installation, the Trandoshan asked, "Do you know where she went? I do not believe the broadcast."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren laughed. "Well, I think I know where she isn't. I could find her if I wanted but for the moment I think it's best to let her get settled. Known her long?"

[Nekoinu]

"Yes. The two of us grew up on this moon together." The Trandoshan hefted up the component he needed above him and held it there as his pit droids tightened it in. Afterwards, he worked on connecting the wires himself. "We were not close but we still were friends."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"I didn't know who she was until I saved her life." He shrugged. "She'll be fine though. People like that tend to do well wherever they end up. She's got enough of a head start on those terrorists by now."

Jo'ren inspected their work. "I'm looking forward to testing this thing out."

[Nekoinu]

"She is a resourceful woman. She made many friends and enemies." The Trandoshan bared his teeth as a smile and continued to work on the wires. "This is a quality hyperspace drive. You will reach your destination quicker."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"That's what I'm looking for. I'm a busy Sith." He watched the Trandoshan work. "You follow the Huttball?"

[Nekoinu]

He shook his head. "No. I study or tinker in my free time."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Just starships or do you work on other tech too?" It was always useful to know a good mechanic. "What was your name again? I didn't catch it."

[Nekoinu]

"Zorrss," the Trandoshan pronounced himself. He then typed again into his communicator. "I primarily focus on starships but I tinker with droids as well."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Good to know Zorrss, good to know. Might have a few more jobs for you before I leave." He grinned and looked around at the engine room wondering what else he could to make the ship more impressive.

[Nekoinu]

"I will have to charge you for future jobs," the machine stated plainly, "I owed her a favor."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Naturally. I've got a few things coming up so I'll get back to you." A bounty and a few more days of Huttball and other jobs might do the trick.

[Nekoinu]

"Perhaps one day we will be friends," the modulator continued. The Trandoshan himself gave Jo'ren an awkward smile before going back to his adjustments.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Hell why not?" Stranger things had already happened to the big Sith. Why not have a giant lizard as a friend.

"Say, while we're on the subject, what would you charge to upgrade this to an even faster model than the one Evangeline okayed?"

[Nekoinu]

Zorrss gave him another awkward smile and then nodded. "A good way to start a friendship." A pause before he typed in more. "That was meant to be sarcastic. I will need credits for both the parts and the labor."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Heh. I get the humour pal." He nodded. "Yeah, that's what I figured. How much do you charge for that kind of work?"
