The best part of waking up (Day 6 LM)

Had nothing to do with chemical weapons, which unfortunately the reason Z was having this meeting, he needed to talk to someone and Yslane was a Jedi he kind of trusted. well perhaps it was better to say he trusted her as much as anyone.

He lounged on his couch as he waited for her arrival. He wasn't dressed as usual, having only donned his his shirt and slacks. The vest tie, jacket and hat would wait for later.

[Yslane Tssilla]

It had been a busy morning for the Jedi and looked like it was not going to be slowing down. Yslane arrived and after a brief search found Zane's ship. Over her usual rugged clothing she now also wore a longer hooded coat.

She pressed the call button to alert the ship's occupant of her arrival.

[Zanebry Varliss]

It was a few moments before Z arrived at the door, offering her a warm smile as he opened the door. "If it isn't my lovely Blueblossom. Please, come in" He stepped aside so she could enter, shutting the door behind her.

"Could I take your cloak?" He asked after she entered.

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane slide out of said coat quickly, "That's alright Zane," She sighs, letting it rest on her arm, "Sorry for not wearing the dress....but I think it is forgivable given the location." A weak smile played across her lips.

"So...I expect this was about what we discussed last night?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I didn't expect you to wear it today Yslane, unless you wished to dance in my living room?" He asked raising an eyebrow, before chuckling softly and motioning for her to follow him inside. Leading her to the common room he gestured to a couch. "Make yourself comfortable." He said before making his way over to the small bar.

He raised a glass offering to make her something. "It is, but before we get into that I have to ask you a few things."

[Yslane Tssilla]

She dropped coat on a chair and then sat down, breathing out, "I passed the information up to my superiors, I kept your name out of it, and now I seem to find myself in the middle of looking into this further. So I have a few questions of my own in turn."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He'd make his own drink as she seemed to not be interested, whiskey with four cubes of ice and water to top it off. "I appreciate that Yslane, and that segues into my first question. If you can answer it. Who do you report to? The jedi council? The SIS? Both perhaps?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Officially the Jedi." Yslane shrugs, "But I forward most everything to SIS if it is something that affects the entire Republic."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Mmm..." He took a sip of his drink. "The next thing I am going to ask may be difficult to agree to, but I can explain my reasons in detail if you like. Anything I share with you today, I want you to keep it out of the hands of the SIS."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I serve the Republic." Yslane frowned, "But if it is about the weapons you mention I'll be blunt: SIS told me to keep them out of the Empire's hands. I intend to....if I locate them....do so by taking them out of anyone's reach."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"That second is my intention, and the reason why I asked you to keep this out of the hands of the SIS." He frowned softly. "There is a man in this city, a Handler for the SIS by the name of Matthias Norsoa, and simply put he can't be trusted."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane raised a brow, "I know who you are talking about, why do you say he can't be trusted?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He took another small sip of his whsikey, watching her intently, trying to gauge her reactions. "Because his intention is to steal the chemical in question and use it against the Empire. He has already ordered the death of one man. To serve as warning to others that might be after what he is."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"It doesn't surprise me," Yslane shook her head, "Regardless of his or SIS proper's intention....I will not turn it over to them. The Jedi protect the Republic, sometimes that means protecting it from itself."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He watched her a moment before nodding. "If I have your word then we can continue this conversation."

"First though, you said you had some questions for me?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"What is all this?" Yslane gets right to the point, "And how did you come by it?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"This? You may have to be a bit more specific. Are you talking about Aris? The Weapon? Matthias? Me?"

"As to how I came by it... I suppose I'll be able to answer better once you tell me what you really want to know."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"The weapon and Aris mainly," Yslane lays back in the chair, "Anything you think I might need to know....before yesterday I had no idea about any of this."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Ah... You sure you don't want that drink?" He asked lifting his glass in his hand. "Aris's part in this was greed, one way or another he found out about a new chemical weapon being developed by a certain company. So he decided to steal it, sell it to both sides, make a fortune off it.

"That's also the reason he died, he was in with the Hutts you see, kinda helping them bring in money, working with Evangeline. The problems started when she got cold feet, she found out what he was after and the more she thought about it the less she liked it. So she came to one conclusion which was to sell him out to someone who could do something about it."

"Which is when the Crescent Shadow enters the picture, as well as me." He took a sip of his drink. "You following things so far? Any questions?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Crescent Shadow?" Yslane waves off the drink, "Not today Zane, hopefully in the next few days I'll take that drink and you'll get your dress."

"But for today let's stay focused."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You're really out of the loop you know." He murmured as he took a sip of his drink. "I hope so Yslane, I'm looking forward to it."

"But yes, Crescent Shadow the group of terrorists behind Aris's death. Evangeline sold information to them, helped them get to him. They seemed to think he was going to use the weapon on Shadow town, a ways to show it off to the prospective buyers I believe. The killed him on live t.v. a few days ago, stabbed about one hundred little holes in him. They're fanatics, don't care one bit about dying."

"They went after Evangeline next, yesterday morning, because she tried to back out of their deal." He looked at her and winked. "Told you I was off saving Damsels in distress." There was a small pause as he took a drink. "The reason I was there though, was because I was watching her. Her behavior had changed and people had noticed, and I was hired to find out what she was up to."

"That's where things get complicated though." He paused. "I could tell it, but it might take a bit of time and it's only a little related to Aris and the weapon."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Indeed let's stick to the main problem." Yslane nodded, "The side bits are probably not necessary for me to know right now."

She blushed slightly, "I've had other problems...but yes I appear to have been thrown into this by some suave man with a tacky hat and a dubious taste in women." The Jedi gives him a playful wink.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He sighed a bit melodramatically. "And I thought you liked my hat, I suppose I'll have to find solace in the fact you called me suave."

"As to my taste in women though, I think I'll have to disagree." He watched her for a moment a soft smile on his lips. "Excellent, is a far better word for it."

"As for the weapon itself, I'm afraid I can't tell you much. Other then it's a chemical weapon of some sort, and well... I know where it is."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Her eyes widen a fraction, "Where it is? ...that's why you called me."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Yes, I know the location, but not the layout, and I can't go and destroy the thing on my own."

He smirked. "I figured this was the sort of thing a Jedi could help with."
