Aboard her ship, Kristal Serasai sat alone in her room after her time in the Yellow Viper. Pondering what had transpired for some time before reaching a few key decisions she was very intent on keeping to herself. However, there was one that required another...

"Bur," she said as she clicked the ships intercom on to transmit, "if you are on the ship, see yourself to my quarters. I have need of you."

Then it went silent as she waited, twirling the memory core over and over in her hand.

Bur yawns and leans in the doorway and says, “You called, Sith?”

"That Republic droid the other day," she said, turning to him with the core in hand. "You made quick work of it once the opportunity arose. I would ask for those skills again in determining if this memory core has anything of value on it."

“You still have that thing,” he says looking at the data core.

“Looking for some secrets?”

"Chances are it will contain nothing," she said, preparing herself for that eventuality. "However, yes, I want to know what transpired in that room before we arrived. I want to know what information those men were intent on selling to the Republic in exchange for... "

Well, she wasn't quite sure what it was in exchange for now. Protection? Freedom?

"There may be something in this droids memory that will offer insight into what drove them to defect. Whatever that is, I would know of it. Perhaps with that knowledge we may be able to correct it.. or at least stop events like this from happening in the future."

“And you need my superior slicing skills to aid you,” Bur says leaning the doorway.

"Are you going to remain there stroking your ego or aid me in something worth while?" she asked critically, standing and stepping away from her chair so that he might use it when operating her terminal.

"Needless to be said anything discovered on this core that I deem confidential does not leave this room. You are being given an opportunity to earn trust here Bur, more than you have already done."

Bur works on the data core and pulls out some data on moments before they attacked. The turncoat was trying to sell military data on a possible attack on a Core World, but was being canny about which one until he was back in Republic space for more credits and concessions.

OOC: 2 threat used for data degradation.

Watching the recording Kristal was able to set aside some worries she held. While it didn't answer some of her larger concerns, it did put them to rest. There wasn't any way she was going to learn why, not from this memory core, and having that was enough for her. Their betrayal's reason had nothing to do with the information on this core.

At least it allowed herself peace of mind for not leaving a stone unturned, "Thank you Bur," she said after the recording shifted to what they already knew.

[OOC: Roll looks a little messy, not sure if the proper dice were rolled. However, I'm fine with the outcome if you are.]

Bur nods and says, “So a Core World huh, any guess on which?”

"I wouldn't tease lightly at that subject if I were you," she said sternly. Though she offered no rebuke, merely a reminder of the gravity of the information he now possessed.

“Just trying to plan out my vacation here, luv. The last thing I need is a bunch of you Sith and Imperials bombing the beach I decide to lay out on,” Bur counters with a shake of his head.

"Starting to reconsider working with me Bur?" she asked, amused. "I appear to be constantly limiting your vacation spots as of late."

“Just an observation, probably just stick to the Outer Rim, you’re welcome to join me, I know great places to vanish away from it all,” he says.

“Rishi is a good spot.”

"I am unfortunately not the tyoe of woman who id apt at taking vacations, and Rishi is," she paused for a moment, "not a planet I am all too familiar with. Tell me of it," she asked.

“It exists in a dwarf galaxy orbiting our own, it’s way out of the way a popular spot for pirates, and anyone that wants to be way off the grid. Not even the Hutts have much control there, it’s perfect if it bit in the sticks. You would probably hate it,” he says with a smirk.

“I could stand to learn what kind of woman you actually are, so mysterious. There has to be a soft side somewhere.”
