Nar Shaddaa

Not long after departing her own transport, Nunki makes her way to the first docking bay on the list sent by Satele Shan, which was where Kristal's ship was attacked. As the door whooshes open, her eyes dart from one side of the hall to the other, analyzing any scorch marks, the exits, etc. Maybe she'd get lucky and find somebody from the staff willing to talk.

A dock worker says, "Master Jedi can I help you?" He looks like a haggard and older duros trying to manage the chaos of the spaceport.

Nunki snaps back to reality when the Duros speaks. "Yes, you may be able to. Who do I talk to about the explosions here yesterday? I'm investigating on behalf of the Jedi Order."

"What do you need to know, master Jedi?" he asks giving her his attention.

"Well, I suppose the best way to start would be your account of what exactly happened during the explosions? Did you manage to see anybody messing around, or was there anything acting weird prior to the explosions?"

"Pretty normal day, I saw one of the explosions, but I was arm deep in an engine," the duros says.

"Not that explosions are normal."

Nunki shakes her head. "No, I certainly hope not. Now, did you notice anything strange leading up to it? Anybody new, anything acting up, outside of the norms of course. Or maybe you could point me in the direction of somebody who would know more."

"Hutts hired a bunch of engineers and contractors. Wish that twi'lek stuck around he was a wiz with the systems here," the duros replies.

"When did the Twi'lek leave? And what'd he do?"

"He did computers he worked for about two weeks, fulfilled the contract, quiet guy. Good with his hands. Wished he would have stayed around," the duros workman says.

"Hmm. Did anybody else leave around that time? And do you know anybody who worked closer with him?"

"There were lots of contractors, umm... I don't maybe Toz would know," he gestures to a nikto working on repairing a ship.

"Try not to keep him from his work too long, master Jedi."

"Of course not, wouldn't want your bosses to get upset." Nunki offers a hand for the Duros to shake, and then makes her way to meet Toz, waving him down.

Toz looks up and lifts his goggles and says in a slow tone, "Boss don't like me talking. Make it quick."

Nunki nods, and says "What do you know about a Twi'lek who was working here for a while, contractor. Left shortly before the explosion. Was here two weeks, did computers."

"Faz, kept to himself. Good worker, now I have to check everyone's work, doubles my load," the nikto says.

"Faz..." She notes his name on her datapad. "What'd he look like? And what exactly did he work on? Anything that may not have been destroyed in the explosion?"

"Gray brown skin I guess, he did the computers and fixed the droids. Why do you want to know? He turn up dead?" the mechanic asks.

"No. To my knowledge, he's the only contractor who left before the explosions. Were there any others?"

"I mean we had a big crew to get ready, no one has turned up dead though," he responds.

"If you know anything else about that Twi'lek, I would really appreciate you letting me know, otherwise I'll let you get back to work. Thanks." She smiles, giving a quick glance towards whatever panel he has open on the ship."

The technician gets back to work, sparks flying as he welds and does a repair job.

"I'll take that as a no..." she says under her breath. Nunki turns, examining various electronics Faz may have worked on. When she's satisfied, she moves on to the other docking bay to repeat her procedure.

Pretty much the same setup though much of the evidence is cleared away by now by general use and the cleanup crews.

With this, Nunki takes her notes and leaves.
