Nar Shaddaa

Craw sits at the table in the mess hall. He's hunched over the chest plate of his armor, inspecting it and doing small adjustments with tools he retrieved from a small toolbox on the table. There's an opened beer can on the table next to him.

After that last meeting with the Queen, it felt like he needed to take a hot shower to get rid of the stench of that Catar "Queen". Jobs seem to be taken up as quick as they come up, so there was nothing more he could do here.

Jobs also seemed to be going quick today, not much he could do with it. So here he was, doing what he could to keep the ship up in maintenance.

They really needed a mechanic. Something to consider in the coming days. Either way, he had to make the moves where we could, and it seems that the two others of the crew managed to really be making a name for himself. He had his own role to cover, of course, and that required him to get going with it as some point. Which meant getting good with the right people.

Walking from the cockpit doing his inspection to the mess hall, he looks at Craw tinkering with his armor. "Been busy, I see. Excellent."

Craw nods, not looking up from his armor. "Got nailed with two blaster bolts, and some disruptor fire yesterday. Also survived a high speed speeder crash and saved Corso Fett's ass. So yeah, been busy."

He nods while looking at his datapad. "Yet you're still alive. Truly are a tough man to cut down, Craw." He glances up at him. "Currently about to develop our budget, I assume you're running low on Stimpacks and such."

He glance up at him. "Isn't that mechanic we hired supposed to be here soon?" There is a annoyed tone in his voice, a standard tone, granted. "You keep messing up your armor, we'll need to find someone here who can repair that."

Craw scrapes something on the armor. "There's only one person in this galaxy with permission to kill me, and I ain't about to let her down by letting someone else beat her to it." He puts the tools away and looks at nudie. "But yeah, down to my last stimpack. We racked up any profit yet?"
He looks thoughtful for a moment. "Haven't seen the mechanic around yet, but I can keep this old hunk of junk in one piece until we get one."

"Need to check with Durasay before I can see if we're in the black, but I'm hopeful. Your work with that Sith woman covering the first few days really did help." Clearing his throat.

"I've yet to contribute, only due to no pilot being really needed yet. With that man getting himself killed and everything, it's put a damper on my hope for opportunities at this time. Jobs keep getting taken fast than I can move to claim them."

He grunts, seemingly annoyed. Hate feeling useless

Craw nods and takes a sip from his beer. "If I prove myself useful, she'll keep us covered for a while longer, I hope." He pauses. "Saving Corso's ass will help with that, she's invested in us Mandos, politically I think."
Craw continued in an uplifting tone. "Cheer up, bud. I'm sure you'll get your moment. Coulda used you yesterday really, I crashed a speeder into a cantina. With a proper pilot maybe we could've avoided that."

"Be careful with them." Durasay walked into the galley from below, coming in from the loading ramp. "Wouldn't want to get so reliant on the Sith. They're devious." He narrowed his eyes as he thought of how they had used his information to set up Alysele.

The way they were indiscriminate in their taking of Nikto youth.

"I've got a few leads I'm following. Did some mundane work first thing this morning. We should be okay, if we need to pay." The tall Pantoran grabbed a new mug, pouring himself some fresh caff.

"Plus, I want to see how we can try to hold together Aris' network."

"Well like I said, she's got contacts with other mandalorians. And that wouldn't be possible unless she was at least mildly trustworthy." He says as he sips his beer.

"Not that I would mind piloting such a thing, Craw, but if either of you do come across a vehicle again, please at least try to keep it in working order when you're done with it. There are always buyers for these things, whether thru honest means or not. A quick sell from a few contacts would go a long way."

"The network has my interests more than anything else the Sith or the Republic are doing. It's important that we continue to establish its working order for this job. Who knows, we might be able to utilize it for a good while after this job."

Information was always important and having a network already established would prove useful in the coming days. "Anything you need assistance with, Durasay?" He again looks up from his datapad. "Well then, let's break down the numbers, then, since we're all here. How much have we all brought in so far on this venture?"

Craw put the beer down and resumed tinkering with his armor. "Earned 150 creds from a huttball game. So that leaves me at a square 650. If I win today's game that's 800 Creds total."

"Are you sure you don't want to start your professional Huttball career, Craw?" He chuckled slightly, as he pulled out a seat, sitting across from the mando. "Seems you're fairly good, and it is a lucrative sport."

Durasay sighed. He had been busy, but not profitable. "Unfortunately, I have not earned much. Only about 200 credits." He'd leave out that he all but threw the credits back into that Sith Aspirants face after what happened with Alysele.

"More than I've earnt, Durasay." He nods. "So far 1000 credits, maybe." He jots it down in his datapad.

"Alright, now to decide on what it is we need. Since our parking fee is covered, for now, and I assume our medical supplies are running low, we should look into restocking out stimpack. Anything else we should account for? Ammo packs, et ceteria?"

Craw continued fiddling with his armor. "Two or three stimpacks should cut it for me. We can probably save the rest for future purchases. Got an armor mod I've been eyeing for a bit."

Duraday sipped from his mug, eying his two comrades-in-arms. "I need to restock my stimpacks, but outside of that, my gear is pretty well in order. Wouldn't mind getting one of those Bantha-Eye laser sights, but not a necessity."

Looking around a bit. "I'd be more interested in outfitting the Tortoise with some faster engines. I don't think we're getting as much power of the engines as we chould..." He was musing for a bit. Maybe something to leverage with the Sith.

"You and me both. Kicking the ship up to a faster degree would be essential for some upcoming problems that may come up soon."

Not everyone would be expecting it, either. "We'll have to go shopping for some products. Durasay, I can trust you can do the shopping, since you're more apt to..convince people their prices are too high. Also see if you can do the same with the price of that engine."

"I can certainly do that. Though I think with out current funds, a new engine set up might be out of the picture." He chuckled finally finishing his caff. He had traveled with these two for so long. It was hard to picture his life without the Tortoise. Credits may run tight, but they somehow always seemed to make it by, by hook or by crook.

"Maybe we should look into that pirate queen's offer?"

There is a long pause as he looks at him in, deep in thought. Then a look of disgust peers thru.

"...I don't trust her. Not one iota. Her personality suggests she will try to betray us once the mission is complete. Holds no regard for those who have fought under her."

He looks at him. "Such filth deserves to float with the rest of the refuse out in space. But I will still do it, as we are in need of funds. For now."

"Who said anything about trusting her. I hate pirates, and what they can represent, but she is offering a lot of credits. I have no illusions that she'll try to double cross us. Which is why I think we should get..." he made a few gestures as he spoke, looking at his two friends, "... a triple cross!"

Grinning like the scoundrel he was, he winked. "Maybe we talk to those Republicans again."

"I'm sure they may be interested in that subject." He nods to his answer. "For now, it would be prudent to find the Rodian she mentioned. Follow those instructions."

Craw raised his gaze from his armor, his expression one of curiosity. "What's this about a pirate queen?"

"The Queen of those pirates we helped fend off thr Duga Hal. Wants us to help find a lost Hutt treasure ship. Twenty-five thousand credits, to be split amongst those who do the work." He shrugged, before giving Craw a side eye.

"More than likely, the ones she cons to find the treasure, end up spaced while she hoards it all."

Craw shrugged. "So? We get the treasure, and space her before she spaces us."

"First, we have to find her initial target on the Duga Hal. A rodian woman. Before anyone else does. That woman can't be returned to the Queen. She'll be kolled, for sure."

He was beginning to run through the possibilities. "We could smuggle her out, fake her death, but give the Queen the information she wanted."

Craw shrugged again. "Seems like you two have it under control. If you need muscle for something just say the word and I'll kick some ass."
