Nar Shaddaa

Craw waited in the mess hall again. For once there was no alcohol in the room. He glanced at the clock, awaiting his crewmates.

Durasay had a lot on his mind. It had been an... interesting day. And it was going to be an even more interesting night by the time this was through. He had to ready himself, for the task at hand. He walked out of his room, idly checking his blaster, making sure everything was in excellent working order. Tonight would not be the night for things to go wrong.

Walking into the galley, he saw Craw, looking downtrodden. He... no, it wasn't downtrodden, it was something else. He silently slipped into a chair across from Craw. "Credit for your thoughts."

Craw sighed and looked at Durasay. His expression was tired. "Gotta clear some air. Bring Nudie into the loop with what I'm planning... And no I ain't just talking about Nai... Some stuff came up recently about which we need to have a discussion."

Within a few moments, Nudimsu walked in and glanced at the two. There was a sense of tension as he entered as he glanced at the two of them for a solemn moment before considering the situation.

"Did you piss off a Hutt, Craw?"

Craw gave a tired chuckle. "Heh, no, no I didn't. Just got... Eh, some news to share. Take a seat Nudie." He waits for the Chiss to sit before he speaks. "I suppose I should start at our plans for the future... There's a few things about that, that we need to talk about.The first is my fiancee." Craw glanced at Dur. "I've decided I'm done running. I'm gonna try to find her and apologize, hopefully I'll survive." He gave a weak chuckle, and looked at Nudie, his expression somewhat awkward. "I haven't told you her name, have I? It's Nai'tiri. She's a chiss. So maybe you'd be able to help me track her down?"

He gave a few glances over to him, curious as ever. "A Chiss, you say?" He looks at him for several more moments before shaking his head and looking to Durasay. "It is better to face your mistakes rather than run from them. Redemption can be had by anyone...assuming she listens to you." If she was Chiss, as he claimed, he would have to consider his words very carefully.

That didn't tell him much. No so much to go on, as it was just the core name. "...It's not something that I can just easily do. When you leave the Ascendancy, there is a stigma attached to it, much like you leaving the Mandalorians. Still, I'm sure something can be done." A moment's pause came to realize the obvious.

"Besides, it sounds like she's quite intent on finding you, as you told me the other night. Little effort would be required for my ends; just time and patience. Though, if it were me, I would just simply kill you thru long range tactics." He paused, picturing the how and where to do it on the moon, should it ever come to that. Which he didn't hope for, of course; hard to replace a trained Mandalorian. "If she has turned more emotional in her time amoung your people, you could assume that she may choose to face you directly."

A glance back to Durasay and to himself for a few moments longer. "Do you have a sexual fetish for blue skinned individuals, Craw? Or are we just a means to remind you of your ex-fiancee?" There isn't a hint of sarcasm in his voice; moreso curiosity.

"Because I don't find you attractive, just so you are aware."

Craw nodded as Nudie spoke. "I know she'll find me. But I want to meet her halfway. Y'know, gesture of good faith and all."
Nudie's last question he regarded with an exasperated sigh, and a facepalm. "Goddammit Nudie... No, this was all just coincidence. Really." He said, his tone annoyed.
After a pause he continued. "But yeah, I really would appreciate any help with that. We can only hope she'll want to kill me with her bare hands." He gave a weak chuckle. "My, eh, second thing, that I wanted to talk about was... About a job offer. It's only for me, would be... A bit longer than our usual contracts... Corso Fett offered me a job in his organization. I'm pretty sure I can talk you guys to be a part of the contract, but... We'd probably be working with mandalorians full time. So what do you guys think about that?"

"Okay." He shrugs and looks to him, not sure why his tone changed from his question. "How long, and how much, and would it be consistent work for you or all of us? Cause a frequent paycheck is something I would not complain about."

"I asked him the same thing when I found out, too." Hr shrugged as he looked at Nudimsu. A slight curl to his lips. He leaned back in his seat, listening quietly.

Working with the Mandalorians? That could be... interesting. But it could also close off other avenues.

"Did they give you an idea of the job?"

Craw shrugged at Nudie's question. "I'll try my damndest to get all of us included in the deal if I accept."
At Dur's question his expression turned grim. "All he said was that we'd be a part of something bigger, and that conquering's good business. I'm sure you can guess what he means."

Durasay went stone quiet, his eyes closing for a moment. Were this yesterday, he might simply be weighing the potential credits vs. the potential risks. But it was today. After the luncheon. That connection to the Force, the way he was feeling it flow through him. It was as if something was calling to him.

There had been an awakening.

"The Galaxy is coming together here to try and avoid further bloodshed. I don't know if conquering would be good for business, know what I mean? If the Republic, and the Empire, manage to hammer out a peace deal, if Corso decides it's time to bring back Crusader culture? He will be dealing with the two forces that no longer are engaged in a war, a state of detente. I don't know if it would be good for us..." He spoke honestly, looking between his two crewmates.

Craw shook his head. "I can tell you one thing right here, the Sith aren't gonna be happy with the peace for long. They're already maneuvering for advantages in the next war." He gave Dur an odd look. "And I think you're underestimating the might of a unified Mandalorian People."

"I have no qualms about their might. I've heard the legends. The stories." He matched his friend's look. "I just have also seen how enemies can come together to beat back a threat they deem affects them both. Unless he wants to have the peace talks fall through." He raised an eyebrow, leaning into the table.

"Is that his plan? To make sure that these talks collapse? Prevent a peace, even a brief one, to only have to deal with one adversary at a time?" His voice a harsh whisper, looking his friend dead in the eye.

Craw matched his look, and shrugged. "I don't know. I'm pretty sure Corso himself isn't after that. Some of his allies might be."
