No time for Satisfaction. (Day 3 Early Night The Hollow)

[Zanebry Varliss]

Zane's day had been long, and more tiring then he would ever let on. Certainly he enjoyed the company of attractive women, but today he had visited with nearly a dozen of them, and as satisfying as it had been, it left him a bit worn out.

Stopping by The Hollow, he slipped into his usual place at the bar, this place had been a favorite of his over the last year and Talor usually keep his usually chair available later in the day should he stop in. Ordering a Kotol, he settled into his chair and waited for his drink to arrive.

[Nekoinu]

Apparently this was not the place for Zanebry to rest. Vera Ordo approached the bar and took the spot right next to him. "Su cuy'gar," she grumbled, "You were talking with my sister earlier. Why?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Good evening Vera." He offered her a smile. "Could I buy you a drink?" He hadn't expected to see both mandalorian sisters today, but perhaps his luck had turned.

"As for your question, Thera had some things she wished to speak to me about... Is this a problem?"

[Nekoinu]

The Mandalorian woman kept her scowl, clearly agitated. "No drinks, not yet. Tell me what you were talking to my sister about."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He turned in his seat and faced her more fully. "It was about work, she wanted to ask me a few details about a job I am on. After that we chatted for a bit?"

He raised a eyebrow curious. "Did something happen?"

[Nekoinu]

She crossed her arms. "No, nothing happened. She's fine. She's always fine." The Mandalorian turned away with her face not towards him at all.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He cocked his head to the side and offered her a smile. "Will you be willing to accept that drunk now then Vera?"

"And if you're willing to talk about it, I'll listen. My word that nothing talked about passes farther then my ears."

[Nekoinu]

Vera looked back to him and grunted. "Fine." However, she kept her pout until further prompted.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Hrm... I don't know what you drink, so I hope you don't mind I guess." He looked at her thoughtfully for a few moments, it couldn't be too girly, or she likely wouldn't drink it. Finally he decided on a old fashioned, picking a slightly sweeter whiskey as the base.

He probably got it wrong, but that was life sometimes. "I hope you like it." He offered as her drink arrived.

[Nekoinu]

She took the drink and sipped it. After a few moments, she concluded, "It's fine. Thanks."

Silence.

"By the way, back off from my sister. The thought of you with her sickens me."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I'm glad you like it." He relaxed in his chair and took a sip of his drink. Savoring it before swallowing.

"If your sister wishes me to back off I will Vera, no questions asked, she's known me long enough to know what kind of man I am after all."

"I do wonder though..." He trailed off and offered her a crooked smile. "Am I truly that repulsive to you?"

[Nekoinu]

Vera scoffed. "She's not the sort to tell you to back off. I'm doing it for her."

On the other matter, she lifted her chin at stared at him, though her cheeks were a bit pink. "You're just like the rest here. A no good cheat, liar, scoundrel, all of it and more.'

[Zanebry Varliss]

He smiled slightly at that. "You're very good to your sister Vera it's an admirable quality."

He couldn't help but smile st that, a small chuckle rolling from his lips. "You might be right about that my dear. Though I say every time I compliment a woman I mean it. There are no lies there."

[Nekoinu]

"Well, if only she'd see that," the little sister mused before taking another sip.

She rolled her eyes. "You think I respect that? When a man can't settle down? No, no, none of that."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He took a sip of his drinks."Does it really matter if she does? Certainly you won't garner many compliment's but sometimes the most important jobs are those that go unnoticed."

He chuckled lightly, taking a sip of his drink and looking her in the eyes.. "Do you think there is a woman out there that will settle down with me then? Look past my faults, to what may lie beneath? One that will love me and keep me from straying?"

[Nekoinu]

"I'd like her to notice," was all she had to say on it.

Vera shrugged. "Not me. But I bet there ought to be at least one out there." She took a sip from her drink. "Would be kind of sad if that wasn't the case, you know?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He smiled and took a sip of his drink letting the topic drop.

"That's too bad, I might benefit from a strong woman in my life." He replied with a smirk. "Perhaps I'm ok with letting things being sad though? If I can bring a little color a little happiness to those I meet, that's not too bad. Right?"

[Nekoinu]

"Yeah, you would," she said in regards to him finding a strong woman. She let out a long sigh and took another sip from her drink. "A little bit of happiness and then a bunch of disappointment, Zanebry."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He picked up his drink. "I don't want to cause that disappointment though, so I don't lie about who I am." Taking a sip from his drink, he flashed a bitter smile. "I'm a bad man Vera worse then most would know."

He sighed and shook his head. "You are going to make me all maudlin at this rate, you know."

[Nekoinu]

"Some women can't help but fool themselves that you're different."

Vera scoffed. "Come on Zanebry. You're tougher than that.'

[Zanebry Varliss]

He offered her a charming smile. 'I might be different, if I find the right woman. I suppose I'll just have to find her and see."

At her second comment he chuckled. "I am, but you really shouldn't encourage me too much. I might start complementing your eyes."

[Nekoinu]

"Well, here's to hoping you do." She held out her glass for a short 'cheers.'

The Mandalorian groaned though her cheeks turned a little pink again. "Yeah. Then I'd have to punch you in the jaw."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He taped his glass against hers, then against the bar before taking a sip. "Thanks Vera, I appreciate that." He let the teasing line remain unspoken. So what if it's your sister? Was sure to get him that punch in the jaw.

"I think I'll have to pass then, even though I do think they're your best feature. Eight men tried to beat me the other day, for just a dance with a lady. So I'll pass on the punch for a compliment, as least for today."

[Nekoinu]

"Yeah, whatever," she remarked before taking a sip from her drink.

Vera smirked. "Yeah, that was bound to happen at some point. If you're expecting me to cry over it, then I think you'll find yourself out of luck.'

[Zanebry Varliss]

'Honestly I was expecting you to have a bit of a laugh over it." He replied with a chuckle. "As you said, It was bound to happen." He smirked. "It's not like it's the first time either."
