A bit of shopping? (D1 LM)

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I definitely like the other one better." He mused as he once again looked her over. "This one seems like it might be easier to dance in though." He paused thoughtfully.

"Still why don't we go with the first... We'll need to get you some heels to match, which you might want to practice in a bit first. Walking in them is hard enough after all."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"You sound like you speak from experience" Aphr said with a chuckle, giving it one more turn before nodding "I liked the first one better, you're right. Let me change, one moment!"

So she slipped back in, and a few moments later slipped back out in her normal clothes once more.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Take your time." As Aphr exited Z took the selected dress in hand, and began to lead the Twi'lek girl across the store. Heels would be next on the list of purchases. "So did you want to go out dancing directly? Or did you wish to meet at my ship in the next day or so to get in some practice?

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I think I may be pushing my luck if I went dancing now. Xero already allows me too many liberties as it is, I'm certain he'd get in a lot of trouble if it was known" Aphr commented with a frown "some practice where I can be nearby to Xero in case he needs me would be ideal."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Ah..." He chuckled. "I meant out dancing without practice, but you are right. We should be getting you back to the Starcross shortly."

"Would my ship be close enough for your liking? If I recall it's not too far from yours."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I don't think I've been on your ship, have I?" Aphr tried to think back "it should be close enough, and Xero knows you well. I'm sure it would be fine."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"It's a bit different then the Starcross, more comfortable at least in my opinion." He paused as they arrived at the section containing ladies footwear. "You can just call me up when you're ready for the lessons, I'll make myself available to the best of my ability."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Hopefully it won't be too far away, I'm looking forward to it" she said, looking at the shows with a small frown "unlike this part. I never understood the appeal of these types of shoes."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Their function is for appearances mostly, them look good and male a lady look even better. At least in my opinion. They are certainly uncomfortable though." He started browsing through their selection.

"They also make a lady taller, so you won't be facing my chest so much when we dance." He smiled teasingly. "The added bonus to that being, it makes it easier for a taller man to kiss a shorter woman."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"So it's a male invention to trap a woman in horrible footwear so she can't run, is reliant on the man for movement, and is closer to the face for kissing?" She chuckled "how strange."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"It could be a woman's invention, to help her distract a man, attract him, and bend him to her will." He replied with a playful smile before offering her a shrug. "Who can say for certain, I wear something close to a noose every day after all." He gestured to his tie.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"But it completes your look, doesn't it?" Aphr replied with a frown "I guess...like these horrible shoes?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He offered her a warm smile. "Yes, much like those horrible shoes." His tone turned a bit teasing. "I admit to being a bit disappointed though, I thought you would enjoy a excuse to walk with me arm-in-arm."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I would enjoy it" she quickly replied "but I prefer to walk straight without hurting my feet."

She sighed, and said "ok, pass me a few pairs to try then."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Can't you just use that as an excuse to get your date to massage your feet later?" It certainly seemed a common occurrence at least as far as Z was concerned.

"As you wish." He offered with a smile, again taking some time and picking about half a dozen different heels he thought would match the dress. Placing them in front of the twi'lek so she could try them on.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I just assumed you would do that anyway" she said teasingly, before slipping out of her shoes and trying the healed monsters one by one.

"I really do prefer the lower ones" she said after a while of testing them, walking in them, gauging her balance.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Perhaps if you ask me sweetly enough." He teased right back, offering her his cheek for a moment to illustrate what he meant.

He watched her as she walked, gauging the look of the shoes and how well she in them. "The shorter one's will be much easier to practice in, if you come to want higher one's we can shop for those in the future."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"So this isn't a one-off deal? What did I do to deserve such a charming man" Aphr giggled, smiling sweetly at him "let's go with the smaller so I can actually dance in them."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I'm sure there was something." He replied with a teasing smile, moving over to select one of the shorter sets of heels.

"We'll go with these then. I think you looked quite nice in them."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Well, you'll be the first to see the whole piece together. Except for Xero maybe, if he asks" she smiled "thank you Zane. It's really nice of you to do this for me."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I might need to have a few words with Xero then." He lightly teased, as he offered her a hand to help her back to her feet.

"It was my pleasure Aphr, a lovely lady deserves a bit of pampering every now and then."

[Aphr Ahaya]

She chuckled, accepting the hand as she rose. "time to buy these then? What do you have planned for today after this?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"A few errands, a lunch date. The usual mostly." He offered her his arm before moving off to the register. "None of it will likely be as satisfying as this though."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Barely been back in port for an hour and already have a lunch date?" She laughed, taking the arm "you never change, do you? Anyone I know?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Oh, I've been known to change a time or two." He said with a faint smile. "If we're counting hours though, my first date when back to port waa even sooner."

"Arsele, I'm not sure if I introduced you yet. We work together sometimes." He walked her slowlt towards the front, in no real hurry to part.
