Alabaster (Day 3 Early Afternoon)

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane takes the garment and starts heading toward the changing rooms. "I mean more the mechanics of the thing. People every where but still alone. Seems strange."

She disappeared into the changing rooms.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Ah... I see what you mean. I like to think of it as you're in something of a bubble. That may just be me though."

He smiled slightly as she disappeared, curious if he'd get to see how it looked.

[Yslane Tssilla]

He would indeed get a look, as the embarrassed Yslane stepped out of the changing room. "This is tighter then I had thought." She smooths the fabric out, though it hugs her form quite closely. "How does it look?" Her cheeks are a bright red now and she can't help but slouch a little, keeping her hands in place as if she was preserving her modesty.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You look simply stunning Yslane." Zane ooked her over, but didn't let his eyes linger anywhere too long.

There was a smile on his lips as he approached closer. "A bit of make-up, a set of heels, and you'll be ready to make this town your plaything."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane grimaced at that, she generally disliked heels....."I'm....not so sure.....I feel more like one of those ornaments rich people keep on their arm." Her cheeks just want lose their red. She tried a turn, spinning too fast for it to be a proper demonstration.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"If your worried they make you too tall don't be." He offered her easily on the subject of heels. "You'll look good in them... Or at least I think so." She certainly had the legs for them. "As for looking like a ornament, I'd simply say you're not. You're a lovely woman with the confidence to not hide it, at least that's what I see."

As she turned he smiled. "Beautiful, lets try it again, a little slower, with a touch more confidence. Remember you're a woman who can with a man's heart with just a glance."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"This is ridiculous." She huffs, "I'm a junior bureaucrat in the Foreign Office." Yslane tries a turn around again, a little slower and graceful this time. "And have you ever tried walking for long periods in heels?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You are, that does not mean you can't dress up and enjoy a nice night out in a fancy club though. You deserve time for a little R&R."

As she turned again he grinned. "I think I've fallen for you already." He mused as he looked her over once again. "I can't say I have Yslane, but I know many who have, and as a entertainer I have uncomfortable things to deal with of my own."

"Still, it's your night and your choice. We can find some flats if you would prefer."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"What can be more uncomfortable then trying to walk on mainly the balls of your feet for several hours." She sighs, "Dancing in them?"

Yslane turns one last time, her cheeks finally starting to pale a little, "I think your partner from yesterday is a much better fit for this dress.....well in style." Considering her usually loose fit clothing, it would be fairly obvious that the bureaucrat is firmly in the athletic side of the spectrum. She stops looking herself over and turns to fully face Zanebry, "I think my coworkers would find this amusing."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Having your feet stepped on for eight hours straight is pretty high up there." He smiled slightly. "I sometimes teach dance classes. The thing about fashion though, is it's not always about comfort." He gestured to his suit. "Do you think this is comfortable then it's humid and 28?"

"Still we are here for you, so we pick what you like. that goes for the shoes and the dress." He looked her over once more. "i'll say once again though, you look gorgeous in this. If any of your co-workers laughed at you, it would be their way of hiding their envy."

"There are a lot, of people that can't pull off this look, but you can. You have the legs for it, the stomach the thighs and several others places that it would be impolite for me to say. So don't worry about the opinions of jealous fools. You've got it, flaunt it."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Her face shifted back to red, "....ah....well back to shoes." Yslane sighed, "We can at least look at heels I suppose." She concedes with a nervous smile. Yslane's eyes wandered to the shoe rack, turning her back to Zane.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"To shoes." It was too good of a opportunity to pass up, and Z would catch her hand in his as he began to walk past. Offering the young woman a smile over his shoulder as he did so.

She was of course free to protest, in which case he would her let go. If not though, Zane would walk with her over to the shoe area, finding her a place to sit as he went to pick out a few shoes.

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane let herself be dragged, thrown off balance by the forward action. "To shoes."

She takes the seat and watches Zane disappear, then her attention turns to the rest of the store.

[Zanebry Varliss]

The store was doing brisk business, men and women entering and leaving at regular intervals. Sol'nelo was always near the register offering comments and advice to his customers.

She didn't have to wait long, Z would return long with several pairs pairs to choose from. The first two were three inch stilleto heels, one rather plain, and the other scrappy and a bit more fancy The third was a simple kitten heel, elegant but unimpressive. The fourth was a flat, and honestly not Z's favorite. He brought it anyways though, the lady was in charge after all.

"Why don't you try on these." He offered as he laid tgem out in front of her. "If you don't find one you like there is always more."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane eyed the stiletto heels warily, then the shorter heel less warily, "How exactly does one dance in these sort of shoes? Well dance in a club at any rate..." She turns the first pair of heels over then tries them on. Its clear she is not used to the tall heels and Yslane takes a moment to steady herself. "How does one walk the streets in these?" She shuffles forward a little and tries to turn...an unsteady lumbering sort of motion.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He would offer a hand to help balance her, a faint smile of his lips as he did so. "Its all about balance my desr, though it does take some practice as well. As for how to dance in a club, I'll teach you. I intended to take you to shadows, unless you don't want my company of course.

He shook his head as she tried. "Your weight might be on your toes, but you need to put your heel down first." He offered her his hands. "Here let's walk together for a bit, I'll keep you from falling."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane placed a hand on Zane's shoulder as she tried his suggestion, "I can see ballroom dancing in this, with its slow and graceful movements....but the pounding beats of a faster song?" Her hand pressed hard in to him as she stumbled a little, "Sorry....let's try this again." Hesitantly she puts one foot out and shifts her weight to it, then follows with the other. "Okay....now we can try going a bit further." Yslane moves her hand from his shoulder and takes Zane's offered hand.

[Zanebry Varliss]

Zane's hand went to her waist for a moment as she stumbled towards him, his foot drifting back a half step to maintain his own balance. "Actually I'd put ballroom dancing as the harder of the two. Especially when you get into the more intricate steps."

He'd take her hands gently in his and begin to slowly walk with her, one slow step after another. "You're doing well. Should we try a turn?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I'm not....some wallowing.....freighter...." She says still a bit unsteady, but Yslane manages to make the turn. "So then what would be the easiest dance to learn in these?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Of course you're not, your a elegant and graceful young woman." He paused a moment thoughtfully. "One of those easier ballroom dances you mentioned earlier most likely. Mostly because your partner is always there to support you."

He stepped in closer his left hand parting form her right and drifting towards her waist. "Put you right hand on my shoulder, then follow my lead."

[Yslane Tssilla]

The move surprised Yslane, "What? Here?" Her eyes widen and the crimson deepens, "In front of all these people?" She blanches, "I mean dance....in front of all those people....in the middle of a store."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Yes." Zanee replied simply as he looked her in the eyes and smiled. "Don't worry about the people or location, just close your eyes, clear your thoughts, imagine yourself on a dance floor." His voice was soft, and slow as he continued. "The sound of shoes tapping against wood, the soft rustle of cloth, the band playing softly in the background."

"Then when you are ready open your eyes, and look only at me. I'll lead."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane looks away for a moment, half the blood in her body must be in her cheeks. She closes her eyes and slowly the red fades. Her head turns to face Zane. "Ok. I'm....ready."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Good! Now remember, follow my lead." With that they would begin to slowly waltz through the store, they'd receive some stares but most would simply smirk at Z and go about their business. He'd talk her through each step as the moved, offering words of encouragement when he thought she needed some.

Yslane managed a smile, her cheeks never quite losing their redness. For her part she didn't seem completely unfamiliar with ballroom dance, but a lot of it seemed to stem from her natural agility. Confidence, as ever, was her great limiter.
