Alabaster (Day 3 Early Afternoon)

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You're a natural dancer." He murmured returning her smile. "If I hadn't seen you stumbling, I wouldn't believe you've never danced in heels before."

He looked her in the eyes. "So you should be more confident, you are good at this. I promise you."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I had a little bit of training....proper schooling and all that," She glances down, "I suppose some of that remains."

"But it wasn't done in heels, mind you."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"It does, you'd be surprised at how things work that way. The body never seems to completely forget." He smiled. "Heel's usually enter the equation later on in life, and with your height I'm not surprised you haven't spent much time in them."

"What do you think though? We both know now you can dance in them, and I'd say you look good in them. Legs like yours are made for heels after all."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I might try the shorter ones," Yslane concedes a compromise, "But these really are too much. I'm not that much of a devotee to fashion."

"...though I do have to admit its easier then I thought now that we are moving."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"As you wish Yslane." Zane offered with a soft smile, as he slowly brought their dance to and end. He wouldn't her completely go though, holding her hand as he led her back towards the bench.

"I am glad you tried them though, now at least you know they are a option."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane walks back a bit more steadily then she left, "...I suppose more options are always better." She takes the seat and pulls off the shoes. "Even if they aren't favored. But after these," She puts the stilettos up and picks up the smaller heeled shoes, "those should be a breeze."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I've always thought so, their is a shoe for every occasion after all." He watched as she took the first pair off and moved to try the second. His gaze casual and likely to go unnoticed. "They should, and after trying them, we can look at a few different designs. If you find that you like them that is."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane smiles as she puts on the other shoes and stands up. "These are much better." The bureaucrat takes a few steps then more confidently makes a turning stride. "How do these look?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Very nice." He replied taking a moment to drink in how she looked in them. He did prefer the stilettos, but we're definitely not bad.

"I believe your confidence in them is truly the selling point though." He walked around her to get a better view from all angles. "Yes, i think these will do nicely." His gaze moved towards her eyes. "What do you say though? Do we skip the flats?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I'll concede to these smaller heels." Yslane smiles, "At least these don't kill my feet."

"Don't be surprised if I wear something flatter until I get to the club though."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Good." He grinned. "I was hoping you'd say that. Are you happy with these? Or would you like to see a few others?"

"Honestly that is fairly common, you wouldn't want to mess up your nice shoes on these streets after all. Should I pick you up the day after tomorrow? In the later part of the evening?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"That would be fine," Yslane smiled, "As always my schedule is subject to change though. If my superiors need me."

She looks at the shoes, "They seem fine to me but....it couldn't hurt to look at a few more."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I'll mark it on my calendar then, and if things change let me know, I can always pick you up a little later after all." He replied as he started picking up the boxes he would return.

"I'll bring a few others over then. Any designs you think you might like?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane sat back down, "Hopefully nothing will come up....this has been...fun." She smiles shyly and looks at the pair of shoes on her feet while Zane goes to grab a couple more. She had to admit he did have some sense of style.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I'm glad you've enjoyed it Yslane, I've had a good time as well." He offered her a warm smile, then departed to pick a few more pairs. One was rather strappy with a band around the ankle, another sleek with opens sides and toe a strap serving yo make sure it stayed on. The final was another elegant one like the ones she was wearing, though in a different his.

"I think these are the best of the lot. Which would you like to try first?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

Perhaps to Zane's surprise Yslane tries the strappy one first. "What did you do before coming out here? If I can ask." She stands up in the new shoes, moving around a bit in them. "How do these look?" Her eyes flick to Zane with an expectant look.

[Zanebry Varliss]

Zane was surprised, pleasantly so, his smile spreading a little wider as she put them on. "Those are the ones I really wanted to see you in." He confessed as she modeled them for him. "I love tge way theu wrap around your foot and ankle, theres simething sexy anout it." He looked hwe in tge eyes the smile still on his lips. "You look stunning."

The answer to her question came a few moments later. "I'm from a military family Yslane, I followed the family trade and enlisted at 16."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Oh?" Yslane looks down at them again, "Huh." After wiggling her foot for a moment she continues, "Planetary Defense or Republic Military? My mother is a senior civilian official in the Republic's defense department."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Republic military." He answered easily enough. "Retired now of course." He watched her for a few more moments, trying to gauge how well she walked in them. "So what do you think of those? Do they seem danceable?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane shifted her weight around a little, "If I could dance in those painfully high heels....these are no problem." She made a small pirouette, raising one foot roughly to the heel of her other and spinning once in place.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Ballet." He grinned. "I should of suspected when you said you were properly schooled." He took a step closer, offering her his hand again. "Was that the only kind of dance they taught you?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane reddened again, "Well...a few others but that was the main one. I wasn't very good at it."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I think you might find different results if you were to take it up again." Zane offered with a soft smile. "I admit to being about as graceful as a drunken baths when I was younger." He smirked. "I'd appreciate it if you keep that a secret."

If she took his hand he'd begin to lead through a few steps of a dance again. "So what do you think? Is this your outfit? Or should we try on the other pairs if shoes?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane looks herself over, she stands straight. "I...yes, I think this is fine." She smiles, "No, I think it looks better then that. Thank you Mr. Varliss." Yslane reached out to take the offered hand.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You are the one that makes it look good Yslane, I only helped a little." He took her hand and pulled her in closer as he began to dance with her again. "I'd suggest a light make-up, if you decide to wear any, and perhaps wearing your hair up. But I leave those decisions to you. Feel free to surprise me."
