[Galen Sol]

"Well, I know I can sense emotions if I focus on an individual." he responded. "Is it like that, or something more?"

[Nekoinu]

"Depends. I was searching for more than your current emotional state. I hoped to see a glimpse of how you would react to future events."

[Galen Sol]

"The darkness you mentioned previously." he nodded in understanding. "I am not sure what to think of that, to be honest. I just hope I will remain true to myself. Do you have any advice regarding whatever is coming?"

[Nekoinu]

"You have spoken it already. Remain true to your values and do not allow the darkness to sway you." She paused. "Allow yourself to feel pain and endure it. Accept it as such. And then strive towards your goals."

[Galen Sol]

"Just another day then." he nodded. Then, with an impish grin, he added, "That's why finding moments of pleasure are so important."

"I would like to improve the abilities I have and find new ways to use them. But, I am curious about the physical abilities I saw in the huttball arena. Are those things you could teach me?"

[Nekoinu]

Master Mersl smiled back, though her expression was more serene as always. "I do have fun. Do not be concerned about that."

On the other matter: "Which physical abilities are you speaking of in particular, Galen?"

[Galen Sol]

"Good." he smiled.

"I'm not sure, to be honest. Whatever might help me defend myself. I'm starting to think I rely on my rifle a bit too much."

[Nekoinu]

The Jedi Master lifted her lightsaber via the Force and presented it to Galen. "This is the weapon of choice among the Jedi and Sith. The Force guides us in combat as we use them."

[Galen Sol]

"It's also the symbol of the Jedi and the SIth." he added. "Doesn't seem like something I should carry, even if I could acquire one."

[Nekoinu]

"That has not stopped people before." She kept the blade hovering there, allowing him to take it if so desired. "With enough practice, you can use the Force to move objects aggressively."

[Galen Sol]

He reached out to grasp it. "Are these things you would be willing to train me in?"

[Nekoinu]

"Of course. I must warn you though that it may take much training."

[Galen Sol]

"Alright." he nodded. "But, I do have one more request. I'd like to learn the original code. You mentioned it at the luncheon. I don't think I'll ever be a Jedi. But, I'd like to know what their foundation was."

[Nekoinu]

Master Mersl nodded and recited the following:

Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

[Galen Sol]

"That makes sense to me." he nodded. "More balanced. It's basically how I see the universe."

[Nekoinu]

"Some Jedi prefer to follow that version of the Code," she explained with a smile.

[Galen Sol]

"You've given me a lot to think about, Lyshea." He smiled. "I hope I can learn more soon."

[Nekoinu]

She nodded. "I am sure you will. My biggest request is that you remember to not let a storm overwhelm you. Weather it and then you will be capable of making the right decisions, ones that will keep you true to yourself."

[Galen Sol]

He nodded. "Is there anything I should do to prepare for further training?"

[Nekoinu]

"Meditate and try to reach a calm state like before. That will deepen your connection to the Force."

[Galen Sol]

"Alright." he handed the lightsaber back to her. "Thank you. Let me know when we should meet again."

[Nekoinu]

The Jedi Master muffled a laugh in her sleeve. "I am sure I will find my way to you again, Galen."

[Galen Sol]

"You can always send me a message or reach me via commlink." he shrugged. "But, I will be pleased to see you in person again, for any reason."

[Nekoinu]

"I tend not to use those methods of communication. But we shall see, Galen," Lyshea said with the same, standard smile.

[Galen Sol]

"Well, I stay aboard the Starcross, if you don't find me anywhere else." he said. "But, I have the feeling you will find me whenever you wish to."
