Nar Shaddaa

Random disappearances, murdered Force users, threats of violence, Sith wars, Jedi huttball and so many other unexpected things had happened in the past few days. The message from Night was another one.

Galen didn't know who she really was or why she'd reached out. It didn't seem like just a hook up. Just down the street from the address he'd been given, he stopped to send a message.

-Aphr, I got an odd message from Night. I'm about to meet her at [an address in the Red Light District]. It should be alright. But, if you don't hear from me tomorrow, that's where I was.-

With the message sent, he moved on to the apartment. He reached out with the Force to get a sense of his surroundings, but nothing seemed clear. So, he knocked on the apartment door.

Night is inside, the apartment is pretty sparse and darkly lit. Not messy just not much here but the basics. She stands near the window smoking and glances over her shoulder to Galen.

Thee are brusies on her arm… purple and black against her pink skin and a ring of darkened puffing flesh around her left eye. She says bitterly, “I am sorry… I didn’t know who else to call. I did not even think you would remember me.”

“But here you are.”

"You're pretty memorable." he smiled, but his eyes showed concern. "A Night I'll never forget. How badly hurt are you? What happened?"

She shrugs and says, "It's not that bad, really."

She says turning away from him ashamed and says, "I shouldn't have asked you to come. That was selfish of me."

"I don't mind." he moved closer, gently wrapping his arms around her. "I wanted to see you again. I just don't like seeing you like this."

"I know I look awful, thanks," she says with mild sarcasm. She leans against him and adds, "I don't look so pretty in the dark."

"You are beautiful." he assured her, with a kiss along her neck. "I'll spend the rest of the night showing you how beautiful you are to me. But, I would like to know what happened. I don't want to see you hurt again."

"It... I am... there is no good way to say but my boyfriend, he and I... well I made him angry. He freed me from slavery and I should be grateful but he can get so angry... I shouldn't have made him angry. But I don;t know what else to do, I can;t leave him I have nowhere else to go... everything I have is here," she says leaning her head against Galen's shoulder.

He hugged her comfortingky.

"If he does things like this to you, you can't stay with him." he finally said. "How often does this happen?"

She chews her lip ans says, "It's my fault for making him angry. He... really cares about me... and here I am with someone else. See, I deserve it."

"Does this happen often?" he asked again.

She sniffles and says, "I wish it didn't."

"Then, there's no love here. He's just trying to control you through fear." He continued to hold her in a comforting manner. "Is this what you were escaping the night we met?"

"I guess I was," she says softly.

"I just don't know where else to go, I just needed to feel free."

"Is there anywhere you can go?" he asked. "How far is his reach?"

She is quiet and says, "I don't want to think about him... not right now."

"Just... he does not matter."

"Alright." he nodded. "I'm here now. I'll take care of you."

He turned her to face him, kissing her gently.

She does not resist as it allows her to forget what has come before in the evening.

He's gentle, only offering a light kiss and holding her. Patiently he waits to see if she wants anything more.
