Letting Loose (Day 6 Early Night The Opal.)

In a lot of ways The Opal was similar to shadows, a dance club with a similar taste and music and clientele. The music was loud, the lights almost always low and the crowd young and sexy. Drinks were pretty standard fare, nothing to interest the discerning consumer, but many were available laced with certain stimulants. A welcome thing for those that wanted to spend a night out on the floor.
It wasn't a spot Zane usually went to, but after the day he had and the days he had coming he wanted to let go. Loose himself a bit at least for a few moments.

He wasn't the only one who wanted to lose himself. After the events of earlier today, it was pretty much a night of not thinking as hard as possible on Asra's docket. Most of the alcohol from earlier had burned off over the course of the remaining evening, and so she found herself moving once again through the Red Light District, wandering into a bar that was, at least, less crowded than Shadows, if having a similar vibe. She has still uninhibited enough to wave a little at Zane when she saw him. "Oh, hey... we met the other day, didn't we?"

Zane probably looked a bit more haggard then he did the last time they met, though his clothing was still in impeccable shape. As Asra approached he offered her a smile, he certainly wasn't one to forget an attractive red head. "I believe we did. You're Asra if I recall, i remember showing your around town a little bit."
He shifted to look at the bar. "Could I buy you a drink?."

She smiles an nods. "And you're Zanebry, right? Yes, I appreciate you showing me around that time." At the drink offer, she nods. "Please. Do they have anything in particular they're known for here?"

"That'd be me, you. An feel free to call me Z though." He was somewhat pleased she remembered, he didn't think he was the forgettable type, but you never know.
"Shots, they don't have much in the way of cocktails. You can get about anything here mixed with stimulants though. Nothing major mind you, just enough to keep you dancing."

"Z, got it," she agreed with a nod. "Shots work perfectly for me." She glances out toward the dance floor, as if considering if she wanted to head out dancing.

"Shots it is then." Arriving at the bar he'd order two shots, avoiding the stimulant laced beverages at least for the moment.
"I'm as whiskey man myself, being from the desert and all I thought tequila might be more your style." He replied as he waited for their drinks to arrive, seeing her gaze he offered a smile.
"We can hit the floor in a bit if you like."

She nods. "I don't make any promises about the quality of my dancing, but with alcohol and stimulants in everyone else out there, it probably won't make that much of a difference," she says with a chuckle. "I like both, personally. Got a lot of tequila when I was there, so I have a taste for it. Usually whiskey for me, too, though."

"Probably not." He agreed with a chuckle. "Though I'm sure you'll do just fine, I'll be happy enough getting a dance out of you. You didn't seem to interested when I tried to get you to come with me last time." He finished his a crooked smile.
"Whiskey is next on the list then, if you care for another." He took the shoots as they arrived passing one her way. "Bottoms up?" He asked as he held him shot up.

"Bottoms up," she agreed, holding her shot up and gesturing in agreement before downing it.
She smiled apologetically. "Sorry... just had a lot on my mind, probably. That and embarrassment about dancing... Being a girl might've helped a bit, but maybe not as much as I would've thought."

He downed his drink as well, motioning for the bartender to bring him another, his eyes looking to Asra, to see if she's like one as well.
"No apologies needed it looked like you had a rough day." His lips curled into a soft smile. "I admit I wasn't expecting hear that last part though. I always figured when a lovely woman shared a umbrella with me, she was at least mildly intrested."
"It sounds like there has been so revelations on that subject though?"

She nodded. "I didn't have one, and I took you at your word," she blushed with embarrassment and shrugged. She stared into the middle distance over the bar as she downs the second shot. "Yeah, there have been. It's just... When everything's in flux, there's some parts of yourself you hold onto, because no one can influence them except you. And then you find out one of them's not what you expected. It's not bad, it's just... off-putting, I guess, to discover?"
She shakes her head. "Sorry, you don't need to hear me ramble. It's just been a long day."

He smirked after taking his own shot. "I can understand that, well at least a little bit. Things change sometimes and often as not it's beyond your control."
"As for long days, I can definitely understand those, I've had a few of them in a row." He called over the bartender. "One more then we move to the floor?"

"Yeah... Though at this rate, might want to do one with the stimulants," she said with a chuckle.

"You read my mind." Zane replied with a smile, ordering two from the barman. They arrived a short time later a placed a pair of shots before them. They were a only brownish black, and tasted fairly awful.
Still Z picked his up rising it towards Asra. "To long days."

She lifted hers and clicked it gently against his, not spilling anything. "To long days." And with that she downs it and slips carefully from the barstool onto her feet, setting the glass down on the bar.

His own drink was downed the glass set on the bar, and a moment later he stepped down from his own stool. Offering Asra his hand, he'd lead her to the dance floor if she took it.
"Done any dancing like this?" He asked looking out onto the floor.

"Just a bit the other day... not much," she admitted with a shrug. "It didn't go to badly."

"Just follow my lead Asra, and don't worry about doing wrong." Once he found a open space on the floor, he'd let go of her hand, before turning towards her.
Placing a hand on her hip he pulled her a tiny bit closer. "Try to feel the beat, move to it, let everything buy it and me fade away. They are the only things that matter right now." He murmured the words just barely audible above the music, as he started to take his own advice.

"All right..." She closes her eyes a little but and tries to feel the music, following the rhythm fairly well... Her natural grace translates well into dancing, even if she has no real skill at it.

Their bodies moved together for a time undrr the dim lights as Z tried to find Asra's rhythm and match his to it. "You're a natural you know, built for dancing. With a bit of practice you'd likely be able to drive a man half mad."

She chuckles a little bit, smiling at him. "Hmm... I might have to practice a little more, then..."

"Like the idea of being irresitable?" He asked a spark of mischief in his eyes, as he brought her in a little bit closer.

She smiled a little. "Maybe..." Her face took on an odd cast. "Or maybe not... I don't know."

He smiled at her, his eyes moving to meet hers. "If you are uncertain, you shouldnt." He pulled her in even closer his breath tickling skin. "It's a powerful drug passion, and one easy to get lost in. It leads you to nights like this, dancing with a man, who just might try and steal your lips at any moment."
He let them drift apart. "Generally it ends up being a lonely road though. Your partners moving on with the break of dawn. Each to seek their next moment."
