Money, it was almost always about money, and Z needed a lot of it. Which is what brought him back to Solmillo's. Sadly things didn't seem.to be going his way, and tips were minimal.

Remmington finds his way back to Solmillo's to play some sabacc and get some food. After winning his hand he notices Zane and heads over. He tips his fedora in greeting to the man. "Yo Z. I didn't know you worked here. Hope you been well?" He says with a pleasant smile.

"Well enough Remmy." Z offered with a smile. "Just trying to scrounge up some money. I find myself a bit lighter then I'd like to admit with the prices of almost everything going up."

"I see you've found a nice hat for yourself though. I hope it didn't set you back too many credits?"

"Thanks Z. I got this fedora for 20 credits. Pretty worth it and just in time to deal with this rain. So much better with something to cover your head." Remmington replies casually.

"Yeah, you really don't want to get an of that oil in your hair. It's hell to get out." He smirked. "You could of course done a hooded cloak, but I feel they are a bit cliche."

Cole slipped into the venue, or at least he tried, the Republic soldier accompanying him was as inconspicuous as a Renda bear, and built like one, too. Gambling wasn't usually his thing, but his nerves were shot half to hell, and he needed a distraction for the next hour or two. He nodded to Z and Remmington and sat down.

The idea of cheating never crossed Cole's mind. But playing Huttball seems to have helped him find his cool, and he managed to keep his surgeon's hands steady and his expression frostily guarded.

Cole recieved a polite nod from Z as he arrived at the tables. Honestly he hadn't expected the doctor to be much of a gambling man. He was pleasantly surprised to see he was winning.

"Yeah, I learned that lesson the first time. It took me about an hour in the refresher to get that oily gunk out of my hair. Well to be fair, I have a lot more hair than you do." Remmington gives his braid a flick.

He nods to Cole. "Good to see you Cole. Decided to play a hand or two?"

He looks over to Zane. "Have you two met by the way?" He wonders if an introduction is needed.

"Aye, I like to keep mine short." He reached a hand into his jacket, producing his pack of smokes and flicking one into his mouth. "Though I still carry an umbrella anyways. That rain isn't very good on cloth either."

Lighting the cigarette he took a drag. "Aye, we've met. Albeit briefly." He finished before releasing the smoke from his lungs.

Remmington nods. "So how you been Zane? We didn't get a chance to talk much at the wedding." For obvious reasons.

"Pretty fucking terrible honestly." The man with a hat replied with a chuckle. "I get by though."

"How about yourself?"

Cole returned the greetings, he was just as surprised to be winning, gambling wasn't his forté. He suppressed a chuckle as Z responded to the question, he knew the feeling.

"I hear that. I haven't had the best days either." Remmington replies. He has a new scar across one of his eyes. Thankfully it doesn't look like the cut was deep as his eye still works.

Cole, unable to quite help himself, interjects, "you should come see me tomorrow. I mean, it's a very fetching look, but I should check it out all the same."

"The doctor is likely right about that." Z replied with a soft chuckle. "A man should have a few scars, but I've never been fond of one's on the face."

"It may have a bit of charm to some, but I don't think it's worth the loss of those that are unimpressed."

Cole clicked his tongue, "don't listen to him, it makes you look rugged," and he smiled lopsidedly, absently touching the still healing scar on the back of his hand.

Remmington shakes his head and then smiles. "No it's alright. I could have gotten it treated but I've decided to keep it in order to remember an important lesson."

"To each their own..." Zane replied with a smirk. "I suppose I might be prejudiced though, I don't think I can pull off rugged." He raised his gloved hands. "One of the reasons I wear these, don't like people seeing mine."

Cole's eyebrows go up, burning with curiosity and itching to see the injuries Z obliquely referred to. "Scars tell stories. Every one is individual and unique. No two can ever be the same," he held up his left hand, palm turned towards himself, displaying the scar that crossed the back of his hand. "Even the ugliest scars are beautiful."

Z shook his head, and slowly removed his gloves revealing the scarred hands underneath. The doctor had more then likely seen worse, but each of Z's hand had at least a couple scars, most looked like they came from knifes, but there was a larger one on the meat of his left hand that looked like it could of been caused by blaster fire. "I suppose there are more then a couple stories to these, not that I tell most of them. People might start thinking I'm not your every day gambler and piano player."

Cole had heard enough of Z's story to take his meaning. He did, however, also have a fascination with hands, and it was taking all his cool not to take those scarred hands in his own. "Incredible," he breathed.

"I don't know if I would go that far." Z replied with a soft chuckle as he let his hands fall back to his sides. "Though honestly sometimes I wonder how they keep working."

He turned his eyes to Remmington. "It's been going, there have been some ups and downs. I'm doing alright though. Things still good on your end?"

Remmington nods. "I think some of the Hutts plans have backfired on them and they probably have more important things than meddling with me too much at the moment."

He notes the scars on Z's hands. "I'm surprised that you can still play piano. You lucked on there. You certainly handle a blaster rather well."

Suspecting his attention was making Z uncomfortable, Cole turned his focus back to the game. Though he noted that the Crescent Shadow did seem to have the Hutts distracted recently.
