Nar Shaddaa

As the evening made it's way towards night, and the crowds mostly moved toward the Huttball stadium Zanebry and his lovely partner took the stage at Solmillo's. Sitting as his piano he started tuning it, getting ready for Arsele to arrive on stage so they could start off the night.

Z was a good player, maybe not the best, but more then sufficient tobe a good accompaniment to Arsele's vocal. The arrival of a pair of drinks on the piano-top signaled that the show was ready to begin.

Arsele is all business tonight, coming on stage in a short blue off-shoulder dress and a practiced smile. She sits on the piano next to her drink, legs crossing as she picks up her mic.

Z smiled as Arsele arrived, taking a moment to drink in the sight of her before moving to adjust his tie, it wasn't coincidence that it matched her dress, just careful planning. Placing his fingers on the keys he looked up at her and flashed a smile.

"Ready beautiful?" He asked quietly.

She gave Zane a nod after a quick checklist in her head, making sure she remembered the song list and that everything was ready.

After a busy day, Yslane decided to visit the lower levels. See life outside of the secured...safe... Republic Compound. She took a holdout blaster with her, tucked into a pocket and not particularly well hidden....just in case. The young woman was dressed in some sturdy looking casual clothes...

Arriving just in time to hear the music start, Yslane takes a seat and tries to enjoy the entertainment. And not get robbed.

Z would usually notice a blond enter the door, especially such a leggy one, but he was otherwise occupied at the moment. At Arsele's signal he began to play starting with something a little upbeat, meant to draw crowds in and get people to the dance floor, the slower songs would start later in the evening after the drinks started flowing.

Another face in the crowd to Arsele this evening though as she went into work mode; Her voice was energetic and crisp for the lightly swinging music.

Yslane sipped at a freshly brought drink, she was not one for dancing so for now she watched. The music was good so far and the entertainers seemed to have brought some sort of crowd.

Zane's eyes scanned the room as he played, looking for new faces, he had been here enough to recognize all the regulars after all. His eyes settled on Yslane after a moment, perhaps he would say hi on his next break, If she didn't find any other company.

His attention didn't linger long as he moved into their second song, another swinging beat, that brought a few more dancers to the floor.

Yslane reflexively smiles as the pianist looks her way. She goes back to her drink, enjoying the shuffle of the people on the dance floor.

Vec entered the cantina wearing his 'casual' long coat over his work armour. He wasn't exactly here for the music, dancing, or gambling. To be honest, he merely saw the words 'cantina' out front and entered. He figured they were a dime a dozen here, he may as well visit a different one every day. He gave a passing glance at the entertainment provided before making his way over to the bar. Not bothering to compete with the performance, he merely raised a hand with a show of credits to get the bartender's attention.

The duo were about eight songs in when Zane brought the music to a low close. It was time for a short intermission, guests could get more drinks and dancers and musicians both catch their breaths.

Rising to his feet he glanced to Arsele. "Should we mingle?" He asked casually.

"Mmmm...a good intermission time. Go ahead tiger."

She smiled at him and leaned back on his baby grand; Now if only she knew what a tiger was.

"Oh? Leaving me to work the crowd on my own?" He asked quietly as he stepped towards the edge on the stage.

"And here I was thinking perhaps you had your eye on one in the crowd in particular... am I misreading things?"

She smirked softly.

"Perhaps a little." He said with a nod. "But bureaucrats aren't generally something I go for."

He smiled softly. "I did think about having a chat with her though."

"Mmm, I'll leave you to that, go chat up the bar."

"Alright then beautiful." He offered her a smile. "Should I get you anything while I'm done there?" He asked as he started to step down the stairs.

Yslane frowned a little as the music stopped, but the artists probably need a break....

She watches the arrival of the Imperial Soldier with visible nervousness, but a few quick breaths later and Yslane was calm again. The bureaucrat pondered rising to speak to the man, but for now she dithered....nursing the last little bit of her one drink.

"I meant ~I'll~ go chat up the bar," she said with a chuckle, g off her perch onto her high heels, "I'll get you your usual."

"Thanks my dear." He offered her a smile as she approached closer. "Do be wary of the Imperial solider though, he's been in for a lifetime."

Making his way down the stairs, he made a meandering journey towards Yslane's table, offering smiles and handshakes to many on the way. He took him a bit but he finally arrived at her table. "It seems you're in need of another drink Miss." He commented with a smile.

Yslane blinked, "Oh the player....you were quite nice...I enjoyed it." She turned the empty glass in her hands, "I might have one more....in truth I'm not much of a drinker." There is an awkward silence before the bureaucrat adds, "I'm Yslane Tssilla, with the Foreign Office." Another pause, "The...uh...Republic one not the Empire, if you were wondering."

She stares at him for a moment, then her eyes widen a fraction, "Ah...you want to share a drink with me. That would be fine."

"Thank you, I'm glad you liked it." He replied smoothly the charming smile still on his lips. "And a please to meet you Yslane... Or do you prefer Miss Tssilla? I'm Zanebry Varliss, though many call me Zane."

At the offer he moved a hand up to tip his hat in thanks before taking the seat across from her. "I was hopping you would say that." Signaling a nearby waitress he glanced towards the glass Yslane was holding. "Did you want more of the same? Or in the mood to try something different?"

"I am open to experiment...but it would be undue if a Civil Servant on a diplomatic envoy were to be found drunk in the morning," Yslane replied, "Hmm, so nothing to hard but other then that...suggest away." Her cup is pushed over a toward him a fraction.

"Alright then Yslane." He paused for a moment thoughtfully, looking her over. "Nothing too sweet I'd think, maybe with some citrus and not too much alcohol."

"Does something along those lines sound appealing?"
