He chatted with the manager for a while before revealing that he had an Ilum Crystal to sell. He bartered a bit with the man, trying to get the best price he could for the object.

Elsewhere, just a bit down the street in fact. Kristal was browsing through some of a Rodian shopkeeper's wares, armor options as it so happened to appear.

Whatever was stalking Torsin stayed hidden for now. The street packed with people and vendors and any number of oddities one could find on the Smuggler's Moon.

Sylvain walked down the street in Kris' direction as he looked up and saw his old friend shopping. "Oh, Kris! This is perfect. I was just looking to get something for Shaisha. Came into a bit of money right now. Perhaps we could walk over together once I find something."

Kristal, distracted by the Rodian's mutterings about how a rodian chest plate could definitely also fit a human snugly didn't notice Sylvain at first. Of course, it wasn't hard to tune the Rodian speaking Rodese when Sylvain approached a bit closer given she didn't have a lick of understanding of the tongue.

"Sylvain," she said in form of greeting. Turning to him with her arms crossed over her stomach. As soon as the Rodian noticed he lost her interest he huffed and went to the next passing customer. "As long as we don't get lost in the crowds," she teased the thought.

"What were you looking for?"

"A bit of a trinket, probably jewelry. Something chic that would fit her aesthetic." He said with a smile.

"Did you get her something?"

"A carrying case," she said, not really thinking of how to describe it. "Something that seemed fashionable but also rather useful," she said, realizing how she sounded.

Sylvain nodded and smiled, "I think she'd greatly appreciate it. She's constantly on the move these days."

"I should hope so," she said, glancing about the stores. "Then is there somewhere we should go first?"

"I saw a shop over there that may cater to our needs." He said with a smile and a point.

"Follow me."

"Lead the way, Sylvain," she said, taking into step beside him.

He smiled and walked alongside his friend through the crowds of people.

"How's your day been?"

"Productive... in a few matters," she said as they continued to walk. Getting separated for a moment as a Togruta pair chattering away stepped between them. Only reconnecting on the other side, "Your own?"

He chuckled, "Eventful... and I didn't even need to leave my apartment for half of it."

He smiled, "Talks and lunch were interesting enough. It's disappointing how little some of the diplomats of the Republic understand about the Empire. It does reaffirm the fact that they aren't worthy adversaries in many cases."

"I am please to hear it has gone so well," she commented. Adding as an afterthought without the gravity due to the situation, keeping the true nature hidden from eavesdroppers, "You will have to tell me how the conversation with your mother went."

"I most certainly will... It appears... things may be happening quite fast... Our initial expected time estimates for a person-to-person meeting are skewed. It is much much more immediate than we expected."

"You will have to tell me all about it when we get to Shaisha's," she said, pausing to let foot traffic through, "Or after."

He nodded, "There may be an opportunity... but we will need to talk. It's exceptionally complicated."

"Has anything not been lately?" she asked rhetorically.

He chuckled, "Already longing for the sand-cakes again are we?"

"No," she said with that cold Imperial tone. Lightening up almost immediately with a light smirk.

He chuckled, "We're still better than the Tusken Raiders for company, that's good to know."

"I had not run into any when I was on planet actually," she said, "but I had heard of them incessantly."
