Nar Shaddaa

Ritt's was a dance lounge, though with the trends these days it was no longer extremely popular, the music was mostly a off shot of Jiz, easily danceable and not the throbbing beats of a place like Shadows. The bar was good, but not the best, and the dance floor large and not too crowded.

Z had a reserved a table, but was currently linger outside the entrance, Umbrella at his side, waiting for the various ladies to arrive, so he could escorts them inside on this rainy evening.

Arsele had remembered her umbrella today. Which was good since she'd just bought this outfit yesterday, a simple sleeveless number fit for dancing.

Spotting Zanebry, she waved with her free hand, "Punctual as always I see."

Arali arrives, dressed to impress. A sleek, white dress, leaving arms bared and plenty of leg. It isn't cut especially low, but Arali has enough to flaunt none the less. Her lekku are adorned in a braided lacework, while her shoes... leave much to be desired. The real shoes, a set of white low heels, are still in her purse, to keep them from being ruined en route. Overclocking her electrostatic repulsor may shield her dress from the rain, but no white shoe would have survived unstained.

She sees Zane waiting, first, but then Arsele comes, and the twi'lek freezes in her tracks, the ends of her lekku slowly twisting together at the sight as she bites her lip.

Calm down, Arali, calm down. Play it cool. Don't come on too strong.

She strides forth, calm and casual. Zane gets a nod, but Arsele gets her undivided attention. "Arsele; it is always a pleasure. That's a beautiful dress; I love the color." The lavender twi'lek winks.

Ashla comes, not sure what to expect. She's dressed in a nice, if unrevealing, outfit. She takes a breath. Repeats the Jedi Code a couple of times to calm herself down. Then, she approaches the table with every part of brain screaming to just run.

As Ashla arrives, Arali spares a piece of her attention for her invitee.

"Zane. Arsele. This is Ashla Vyliis, padawan and healer in the Jedi order. Ashla, meet my friends, Arsele Girard and Zanebry Verliss. Two of my favorite musicians." Any further details Zane wishes to provide of his colorful life won't come from Arali.

"A pleasure to meet you." Ashla offers her hand to the two musicians.

"It wouldn't do to have a lady waiting on me." He looked her over a smile spreading across his lips. "You look simply ravishing tonight Arsele. I hope you'll save at least one dance for me?"

Arali's arrival was greeted with a smile, and a brief look over her figure. "You look beautiful my dear, white truly suits you."

The last to arrive was Ashla, and this was the one Zane really wasn't expecting. Offering the Togruta girl a smile, He doffed his and offered a half bow. "A pleasure to meet you miss Ashla please call me Z." He replied, taking her hand and and turning it, lifting her knuckles nearly to his lips in greeting, just barely avoiding kissing them.

Escorting the ladies inside he led them to their table. Gesturing toward the bar he flashed a grin. "Tonight is on me. so feel no need to hold back, you ladies may drink all you like."

Ashla doesn't liked to be touched, but allows it. She tries not to show her feelings. She follows Zane. "Thank you, Z. Just Ashla will be fine. So, what do you play?"

"The piano usually." He replied, moving to pull out a chair for each woman. It was difficult to manage so outnumbered, but he'd do so for whoever would let him. "Though I can play a few other instruments as well."

Ashla wasn't in the top three of the women he had been wanting Arali to invite, the top places going to Alysele and Varra, but she was still attractive in her own right, and everything would be fine as long as she could dance. "You are a doctor though? is it a profession you enjoy?"

Arsele had little chance to reply to greetings before Ashla was being introduced. She gave a wave to the Togruta, "Any friend of Arali's is a friend of mine; Welcome."

On the way in, as Zane and Ashla talked, Arsele turned to the Twi'lek, "When Zane said he'd be bringing a lavender Tei'lek who would be interested to see me, I never imagined it would be you; It feels like it's been forever since I've seen you at one of my gig's Arali."

She smiled at her as she talked, taking the offered seat.

Ashla allowed him to pull the chair out even it made her feel weird. "Yeah. I enjoy practicing medicine. There's just something about it that feels right, you know?" Ashla pauses for a moment to think of something. "Though I admit. I am curious. Why the piano?" Her voice indicated that she was genuinely curious.

Ashla waves back to Arsele. "It's good to see you outside the Huttball ring." Then, she returns her attention to Zane.

He offered her a slight smile, as he moved around the table. "I guess you can say it just feels right?" When all the ladies had found their seats he took his own. "I know that many people find it terribly out of fashion, but I like the way it feels, the way it sounds. The way it can make people move."

Raising his hand he called over one of the waitstaff to take their drink orders. "Have you been practicing medicine long?"

Arali lets Zane seat the lot of them; he does so enjoy being the gentleman.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around as much," she apologizes. "A trip off-world, rolling straight into the peace talks. The enclave is busier than I've ever seen it. But sometimes, it's important to make the time for some of life's finer pleasures, no?"

"For a couple years now. Actually, I used to be one of Kidaja's slaves, but he got sick and was dying. I was able to figure out how to cure him and he let me go. I knew I had found my calling."

"Mmm... you're right; Maybe I should have made time to visit you."

Arsele only barely keeps a grin off her face as she points to what she wants on the drink menu, a bubbly drink called a Chandrele Orange.

Whatever drink Arali ordered would be delivered along with a shot of tequila, dressed. She would probably notice Zane giving her a sly smile, before returning to his conversation with Ashla. "I would think so, for your skills to free you from the clutches of slavery."

"I can only imagine that you are amazingly talented."

Ashla gives a roguish grin. "I like to think so." Just have to ignore this morning. Ashla doesn't want to think about that, so she changes the subject. "What about you? How long have you played music?"

He took a sip from his own drink, a Gin Dartini and smiled. "I first started learning as a child, mother insisted he all play something. 'It brings color to a military household.' Is what she'd say if we ever tried to argue our way out of it."

"I stopped for a while after joining the Navy, but I picked it up again shortly after my retirement."

"Oh. You were in the Navy? I know a naval officer whose family was also a naval family. I'm curious why decided to break tradition."

"There is a bit of a story to it, but I hope you will forgive me for not telling it. It's not exactly the type of thing I like to discuss out in the open, especially in the company of such lovely ladies. All I can say and I feel it might be a bit inappropriate anyways is..." He trailed off and took a sip of his drink. "Too many dead bodies."

It was his turn to try and change the topic of the conversation to something he felt more comfortable with. "So Ashla, do you dance?" He asked inclining his head towards the dance floor.

Ashla understands. This is going lovely. "Well, not that kind of dancing, but I would be happy to learn if you could show me."

"It would be my pleasure." Rising to his feet he doffed his hat and dipped his head to Arsele and Arali. "If you two lovely ladies would excuse me for a while." Replacing his hat he moved over to Ashla's side of the table and offered her his hand.

Arali, for her part, orders an obscure fruit wine named in some language that obviously isn't basic. Something light and sweet. And, apparently, it has a friend. "I'd like that," she smiles.

"Lot of days keeping a strange pace, though. Never know where I'm gonna end up. Especially with so many Jedi on-world; we tend not to get along well with Hutt law. Fully expecting the diplomatic incidents to start any minute now." Her words may be a bit grim, but her mood doesn't seem the least bit soured, almost like the thought amuses her.

As she talks, she gives half an eye to Ashla and Zane, glad things seem to be going smoothly...ish. And when they get up to dance, she rises as well, offering Arsele her hand. "Can't let them have all the fun, eh?"

Arsele has not touched her drink yet, but she's not in any hurry there certainly; She was here to dance, not drink. So she immediately took the offered hand as she stood, "Absolutely not; Not here to be a wallflower."
