Nar Shaddaa

Remmington heads down to Cole's clinic. He heard that he had his own place here. Eventually he finds the place and gives a knock on the door.

Remmington finds that, instead of a small doctor's surgery, he's been directed to a sort of homeless shelter. A volunteer points to a line of people waiting outside and says something to the effect that if he wants to see a doctor, he'll have to wait his turn.

Niriti joins Remmy at the end of the line... "Is there no other way to skip all these people?" She questions as she demonstrates that patience is not her best feature. Instead the Sith moves past the people, forward into the line as she gloom over the people that try to stop her advance.

Cole arrives a short time later, a Republic soldier in tow, having been summoned to the clinic early. "Remmington," he claps the huttball captain on the shoulder, "you don't have to wait in line." There is grumbling from the Nar Shaddaa locals, but no one seems to be willing to actually say or do anything.

"Come with me," he beckons, leading them into the shelter to the corner where he holds his makeshift clinic.

Remmington nods to the Cole. "Thanks for seeing us on such short notice my good doctor. Please excuse us."

He offers apologetic bows to the rabble that is waiting in line and follows Cole in.

Running a hand through his hair, "you were a little light on the details when you called. Is there something in particular I should be looking for, or are you just after a bill of good health?"

Remmington thinks for a moment once he gets inside. He looks around to see if there is a computer or some other sort of device available. It looks like he wants to type something.

"Well doc. We kinda woke up in an alley after some bad escargot. So we just want to make sure we don't have anything inside us."

He removes his robes and starts to search them over carefully for something. Finding nothing nothing he points to himself and then Cole as he hands the surgeon his robes.

He cocks an eyebrow at Remmington, drawing his datapad from the pouch on his hip and carefully laying it on the table, "are we thinking less escargot and more hybrid alien fetus? let's see what I can do." He quickly frisks through the robes before folding them and setting them to one side.

Cole plucks his mediscanner and diagnostic computer from their pouches with easy, practised movements. He sets the beam to wide for his initial pass. "I'm going to do a few passes, narrowing down each time, I want to be thorough." As he runs the scans, "Senator Morindel tells us that the two of you are something of an item."

"I guess that means a date is out of the question."

Cole does not find any bugs but he does find trace amounts of some compound in the blood... he can't tell what it is.

Examining the results of the scan, "I'm picking up a foreign compound in your blood stream. It could be whatever knocked you out, but I can't be certain."

Remmington types on the datapad.

Ran into some trouble with the Hutts. Can't give the whole story right now. They want us to take a dive for today's game and insist that we owe them a lot of credits.

After Cole gives them the look over he nods. "Thanks a lot Cole. That makes me breathe a bit easier. Hmm... do you think I should get Ashla to take at it just to be on the safe side?"

Cole takes a blood sample, reading the datapad, "it can't hurt, and I'll see if I can find out more." He glances at Niriti, "same for you, ma'am?"

"Are you able to check on your end Niriti?" Remmington asks, implying about her Force powers.

"Same for me as well please"

Niriti has only but payed attention to what was happening on Remmington. They were the main target of the Hutts, but they had already made sure that to harm him, they would go through her as well. That meant that whatever the doctor had found on him, could be on her as well... "Yes, me too." She added with worry.

Cole goes through the same process, starting with a quick search of Niriti's clothing, "I'm Petty Officer Cole Ormont, by the way, Surgeon, Galactic Republic Navy. I'll be your doctor for this morning." He's charming when it suits him, and he utilises that charm as stellar bedside manner.

He finds no devices or implants, but takes a sample of Niriti's blood as well.

Some type of chemical agent was used to keep them unconscious for a time, it's nothing fancy pretty common medical supplies just a version probably produced in Hutt space using native materials once he can analyze it.

"I'm definitely leaning towards some kind of chemical restraint, but I want to analyse it further. The good news is that you both seem fine."

Remmington nods and smiles. "You have my thanks Cole. I owe you one. Let me know how I may return the favour."

"Glad to help out, Remmington. See you at the game later?" Cole hasn't received the message about throwing the game yet.

Remmington nods. "Yeah, see you then. I'll probably message everyone a bit later but before the game. I owe people an explanation about what happened to me yesterday. Though as you can tell I am being careful of what to say to everyone. I don't want to involve everyone too much for their own good."

"Sounds smart," he clapped the man on the shoulder in a friendly gesture. "Watch your back."

"Well it's not just mine I'm looking out for." Remmington casts a look over at Niriti.

He returns the shoulder clap. "Though that includes you too Cole. If they start causing more trouble we will have to do something."

Niriti sighs in relief. All that was in her system was what had caused her to sleep through most of the day, although she still felt the pain of the attack of the Hutt. Maybe it was somewhere else, so she would take care of what she would type on her datapad, as well as to make sure to keep safe. "Awareness at all times." She whispered to herself.

"We were one of the victims, but that does not mean we will be the last of them. Be careful."

Remmington nods. "I guess we should look into upgrading our security. Maybe get a droid guard dog or something?" He suggests to her.

"Well now we can't afford an upgrade to a higher protection estate, since we have this debt on us, so all we can do is get a security measure, such as private hired protectors or a guard dog of sorts, although I'd be surprised if they didn't use some tech stuff to counter that also."
