The streets of Shadow Town were filled with blaster fire, explosions, and lightsabers. And at the beginning, Lord Haydriss was right; the foe had a superior footing and numbers. Hala was the first to urge the troops into losing odds, opening up an opportunity for Jo'ren to advance into the thick of it.
Niriti and Rumun were able to shore up the flanks, enough to keep them from breaking. From time to time, they saw enemy troopers collapse after their helmets were pierced by sniper fire. "Nice shooting, Asra. I'd give you a better sitrep but I'm a little busy!" Casna noted as she helped keep their position.
Rumun's flailing, at the very least, went unnoticed. Jo'ren seized the opportunity granted by his allies and charged forward as an unstoppable whirlwind of death. Layne's late arrival was welcome; she shattered the defensive positions of the forces of Lord Nemerosch. They were still able to hold ground against Vec despite losses from the sergeant, though Shaisha's and Remmington's interference demolished the rest of those soldiers.
Hala, Kristal, and Sylvain were able to lessen the fallout of the parties. Soldiers from the losing side submitted to the superior force and triage was efficient. "This isn't over. You may be Marr's enforcer but I will have my vengeance."
Lord Zeno Deathwright swept into the back, the lines where Hala, Rumun, and Niriti would have been if the battle had not been in their favor. The officers were put to the sword and any hostile survivors were left without leadership.
Despite the slaughter, there was
a final matter to attend to...
