He raised an eyebrow. "I suppose that sweetened the deal a little. Can't enjoy a good smoke with bad lungs"

"Or anything else for that matter."

[Nekoinu]

"I might like them because they flirt with death." He shrugged and peered at the cigarette. "You find a lot of these at murder scenes."

[Zanebry Varliss]

He took drag from his own smoke, letting the smoke linger in his lungs before slowly releasing. "Nerves I suspect, some people need something to calm them down before the deed."

There was a brief pause before he continued. "Or so I've heard. "

[Nekoinu]

Chax perked a brow. "Should I be concerned about your smoke then?" he inquired with a smirk.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He chuckled lightly. "Nah, I'm too old for that sort of thing. I leave the nervous smoking for the kids and just do it for the enjoyment now days."

"And because it helps keep me awake on these late night."

[Nekoinu]

"Good to know I'm not about to get shot," he mused, "I can kill myself on my own time with these cigarettes."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Much more relaxing this way." He agreed with a nod.

"Anyways if I shot you I'd have to call one of those armatures in the case I needed something taken care of, and they'd just do a shoddy job. So your safe, at least from me."

[Nekoinu]

"They would learn and then the cycle would continue." He shrugged. "My mentor got gunned down years ago and I tossed him into a vat all the same."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I suppose that is the way of things around here." He offered with a shrug. "I still prefer working with familiar faces though."

[Nekoinu]

Chax looked back to the corpses and back to Zanebry. "Here's to hoping I don't have to clean you up off the pavement."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Here's to that." He replied with a chuckle.whatever happened to him after he died, he really didn't want to end up in a vat.

"I should probably letting you get back to your work though, I don't want to be awake when the sun rises." He glanced up at the sky. "Figuratively speaking of course."

"Yeah." He slipped Zanebry a card. "If you ever need a body disposed of, give me a call."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Will do." The card disappeared like it was never even there, and with a tip of his hate Z began to walk away, he had a bit more work to do before bed.
