"Usually we meet with her grunts. Not any Sith or anything."

The intercom came in: "You're asking us to help you kill her."

[Layne Hoshin]

She started laughing again.

"The thought did cross my mind, yes."

[Rumun Gol]

'' Charming conversation, but there are some complications. What are we going to say to Haydriss about you guys? Lie to her? Yeah, not a very good option considering her mind powers.''

'' There's also Lord Ralnorrei. She's close to Lord Haydriss, rumours say. Are you planning to you fight against two Sith Lords?'' He asked her.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I've faced worse odds," she said. Which was actually true on some level. But not necessarily confidence-inspiring either. "... But maybe we should renegotiate the terms of our arrangement with her first...."

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun shrugs. '' How? She is a sith lord. She is not going to accept any other kind of deal...'' He crossed his arms. He tried to think how to proceed.

[Layne Hoshin]

"She's a weak negotiator. Weak all around, in fact, judging by today. Just because she has a title, doesn't mean she's any stronger than us."

[Rumun Gol]

That didn't convince Rumun at all. But he didn't have many options. For now he will play along. '' If you said so. What about you guys?'' He asked the slavers. '' What are you going to do?''

[Nekoinu]

Orion shrugged. The intercom came in: "Alright. Let's say we kill her. Then what?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Then," this time she raised her free hand, pointing a finger at the camera. "you get to be the badasses that helped take down a sith lord."

[Nekoinu]

Silence. "I meant after, Layne."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Cross that bridge when you get to it."

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun looked at the slaver, then at Layne. That was no plan at all. Well she told him, just minutes ago, that she never plans ahead.

Rumun wondered how to proceed. He could try to paralize Layne but she must be far more skilled than him and probably she would notice a sudden betrayal, you are not known as the Little Wrath for no reason. Attacking her was out of question.

The slavers also had become a problem. Can they be trusted? Probably not. If they are intelligent they will run towards Haydriss as soon as Rumun and Layne go away.

And Lord Haydriss. How to trick her into believing their story? Perhaps Rumun could use her master's powerbase to contact other slavers and proceed with the delivery like if nothing had happened.

Decisions, decisions...

'' So how you will defeat Lord Haydriss?'' He asked her.

[Layne Hoshin]

"What the fuck ever," she spat in annoyance. "I'm gonna talk to Haydriss first anyway. Get the whole story out of her. Stop overthinking this!"

[Nekoinu]

"Alright. What do you want with to do about the slaves?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"I thought you said you weren't in a position to sell her any. Do you even *have* slaves right now?"

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun did not gave any more comment about Layne's lack of a plan.

'' Why you didn't appeared to the appointment in the first place?'' He asked to the slavers. '' I doubt you do not have slaves to sell, Nar Shaddaa is full of them.''

"We do have slaves. We just ran into some complications."

[Layne Hoshin]

"What sort of... complications?"

[Nekoinu]

"Really it boils down to being shot at a lot."

[Layne Hoshin]

She sighed.

Really, this shouldn't matter. But then, today had been a chaotic day of ups and downs and sideways before going diagonally across a 5 dimensional spacetime that looped back in on itself in unpredictable ways. The moment she heard this involved the Jaw of Oblivion, she'd decided to kill them. Then she'd decided to spare them and free the slaves. Then she'd decided that instead, she was going to take over and use them as pawns against Baras or whoever. Then hey, Haydriss is kind of like Zash, and that was pretty monstrous so maybe we should kill Haydriss instead.

And now she was considering helping retrieve some slaves and her former enslavers... because hell, let's just keep going and see where the madness stops.

"Who, when, why, where, and so on?"

[Nekoinu]

"Who? No idea. They weren't wearing anything signifying their gang affiliations. When? Over the last week. Why? They seem to be after the children more than the adults. Where? Here on Nar Shaddaa."

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun just stood there. He decided to let Layne ask the questions, fo now. It was her 'plan' afterall.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Well, that narrows it the fuck down."

She raised her lightsaber at Orion again.

"And I thought you said you didn't do children anymore."

[Nekoinu]

Orion continued to look up at the camera. The intercom continued: "We don't. We were planning on dropping the children off with the orphanage manager."

[Layne Hoshin]

She sighed again in annoyance.

"Fine. Point us in the right direction of this orphanage. We'll fucking handle it. Then we'll fucking handle Haydriss. Or whatever."
